yep velocities change between size and manufacture, so even though the M5A's and Omnisky's are same size they are different manufacture so they have different velocities.

Decoupled: Secondary thrusters that help maintain your ships steadiness and velocity by pushing in the opposite direction you are heading in. Coupled: You won't have secondary thruster assistance to help slow you down so unless you hold s to slow down if youre going forward for example would be the only way to slow down quickly, coupled would automatically slow you down using secondary thrusters if you were not holding W (I believe they might stay on regardless of you holding the key or not, unsure.)
@SuperRedman76 the two bottom weapons were limited to size 4s until 3.23. Now, all weapons are not locked to downsizing on gimbal mounts. Before=2 size 4s, 2 size 5s Now=4 size 5s
When aiming for ship parts (e.g. enginges on that Caterpillar), I'd recommend switching to lag pip instead of lead pip, that will show you where your shots will land on your target. You can set a keybind to toggle between pip modes, could help your effectiveness!
It's relative velocity. A negative means moving away, positive moving towards. So if your speeding toward a ship at 150m/s and its stationary, it'd be 150m/s, if the ship was fleeing at 50m/s it'd be 100m/s relative velocity.
Decoupled mode allows you to Drift. Aim below a ship and boost at them then pull up and I'll keep move towards them and not slow down . So u can drift behind other and then stay on their back end.
Start the bounty hunter missions as the rep takes a few weeks to get to ERTs so you will have plenty of practice in the ship by the time you get to ERT. 👍
Are you not able to get the guns and mods off the soft death wrecks now? haven't tried myself but was under the impression you can and then sell at the weapons shops / platinum bay.
Idk how you’re getting missile locks, I’ve been running bounties in my Taurus but whenever I target lock and go into missile mode it’s a nothing burger, no big white circle or anything so I end up jousting and getting rammed 😢
I have had times when I have full missiles and can’t fire any. Usually it goes once I repair or blow up and reclaim the ship but I don’t actually know why it happens. Try some missiles in a different ship and see if they work?

For decoupled mode it's fine to only use it in combat, it basically lets you drift so you can keep your nose on target while moving quickly around a target, it's most noticeable on fighters. Also you might check out Ballistic weapons I've been running full deadbolts on my Taurus and it just melts everything, and you can keep your shields at full power to get the extra damage resistance with no penalty to your weapons.

Recently, I prefer the Corsair but in the past I used to prefer the Taurus. Now I find I can do more DPS with the Corsair and because the fights are a bit tougher with master modes it just means I’m not at risk for such a long time when I use the corsair cos I kill the targets faster. Also because there is not as many big containers to loot you don’t need a bounty hunter ship with as much storage so in the past the Taurus was great because I could fit a lot of big containers in and wouldn’t have to leave so much loot behind, but now there is only 15 to 20 SCU of value in most ERTs. So the Corsair has ample space.
Couldn't you have used the Taurus' tractor beam to load the cargo instead of using your multitool? Isn't the built in tractor beam the whole point of having the Taurus over the Andromeda?
You can do yes. But when you go to open up, if it’s just a couple of containers I usually just grab it quickly with the multi tool. Ship tractor is best for when you have a second player in ship and when some ships are upside down and hard to access.

That caterpillar only losing back shield no matter where youre attacking from is gotta be that infinite shield bug.. i dont know what size shield gens it has but every caterpillar and i think redeemer in 3.23 ive only been able to kill from behind. They take no damage from the front or sides.
You only survived because the server seems to be buggy. The shields should have *never* went down after those missiles. Makes no sense. It took you longer to kill a connie than it did a HH...
If I see a HH I turn away. Not even because of difficulty, but the HH itself has terrible cargo and isn't worth the time. Never more than 4 scu of eggs in my experience. If the servers are working, that HH will fire back too (unlike this video) and it will erase you. Haven't done many bounties this patch overall, but the couple times I have done VHRTs, I picked up 42-50 scu of quant from each bounty, which sells for 1m+. Much easier ships to take down too, if I do bounties I might focus more on those, unless I just got stupid lucky or something. I don't recall getting any worthwhile loot at all from VHRTs last patch, post nerf.
Previously, you could only have 2 size 5s, and were locked to having 2 size 4s on the gimbal mounts. Now, gimbal mounts don't force you to downsize by 1 in order to use them. 4 size 5s instead of beijg forced to use 2 size 4s is a massive buff
I believe the two different pips are because you're using two M5As and two omniskys which have different projectile velocities.

You can fit 4 size 5s now, and having 4 weapons with the same bullet speed are pretty handy

Not sure why you're using 2 different types of cannons. You can do 4x S5 on the Connie now, I just use 4 M7As and it melts stuff.

HH shields were down because it went into nav mode to close the distance to you and poor server performance got you the experience you had with it.

Where the bullet goes, can be predicted. Where the target will be, can be guessed. Lag pip is a certainty. Lead pip is a guess.

That's what I do every day with my taurus. It's easy to pull out targets from atmosphere in thid patch, since they often move together and fast enough

Should be able to, I use F5 for guns, F6 for Engines and F7 for Shields. Hold keys for full power to either one. F8 Resets power to all. 👍

You can take guns yes, haven't tried the other stuff but you should be able to take those as well

Decoupl when running and just flip to whichever side you’ve got shield on. You’ll still be traveling away from the fight if you’re decoupled

Just keep going with the rep and each time you level up a bar, you will have a new certification mission to unlock higher bounty missions 👍

I fly to Samson and Sons as it’s usually quieter and less chance to get pirated.

The two pips come from you having two separate bullet travel speeds on your guns. Put 4 m7as on and enjoy slow bullets with big dam
