I just bought a c180 w202 1998 and I need the 38 pin mb star scanner with HHT. Looking forward for more w202 content! Congratulations on your channel, it’s pretty nice
This video was awesome! I owned a 1994 or 95 C220 years ago. Had it not been for rust I would still be driving that car. Currently own a 1994 E320, 1977 450SL & 2000 E55 AMG which is probably the best car of the bunch. My shop really helps me out even on maintenance. They are a Mercedes shop & I know it’s an awful deal when they have to look at my cars for reasons stated in this video so I am grateful they still do. It’s a shame parts for these cars are hard to come by…
The remote drive authorisation will reset if you leave the key in the ignition on accessories for like 30 mins. Glad there's so many of them for spares. Have same Star diagnostic with a Lenovo.
Oh man, you have such a soothing voice, telling us all these sweet Mercedes things. Keep up fighting the good fight. These machines and their owners deserve it.
I appreciate the calm delivery because I am banging 12 on Koo Koo meter over my 2002 E320 Wagon. I’ve owned it since 2007 with maintenance provided by MB. Two yrs ago they stopped and since I have gone thru 4 mechanics and they were all bad. I’m thinking of dumping it. 189,000 miles. It looks new on the inside and I love the ride but it’s killing me. I’m an hour and a half from your shop. Would love your advice.
I've an 1969 Mercedes 911 and before I had a 1972 Mercedes /8-230.6 and I do live in Germany and not even Daimler Benz (now Mercedes Benz) Classic Department in Stuttgart was of any help. It was no money issue. Their answer was that they only help on rare and expensive vehicles like the 1st generation 600 or the 300 SL silver wing. They don't help an common average cars and trucks - no matter how old they are.
Early 80's to mid 90's is my favorite era of Mercedes, but for ease of maintenance and diagnosis I have to say early 2000's to 2010/2011. There are many ways in which the 80's/90's cars are immeasurably more complex than the 2000's cars. I desperately want something from the Bruno Sacco era, but it's intimidating to say the least. Internet myth is that "they're easy to work on". BS. My C207 chassis & my sister's late W203 chassis are easy to work on. W126 or W124?! Yeah right.
Iii bra i spend more money on fuel than on maintainence on my old mercs. I have a 98 C230 in zimbabwe and a 98 clk 200 in Poland. The thing is in europe they mostly suffer from broken wires due to corrosion and usually things just need reconnecting.
I had a 220 for years. It was a money pit but it never broke down on me in 210K miles. I loved and hated it. I enjoyed it but I would never buy another Merc.
Love your site. You're right. No one wants to work on the older MB's. I have a 91 560 SEC that I'm in the process of "waking up" from a really long nap and shops here in South Florida are so reluctant to touch it. Do you have any videos that would help? Thank you!
@@DCMotorWerks It has not been driven for maybe ten years. The car is in really great condition. Just trying to get it up and running to sell. Im now at the point of fuel system. I drained the tank (by syphon only) and going to change fuel pump, filter and accumulator. Any advice on this process on the way to getting it started would be greatly appreciated!
Brilliant video Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us ,DC MotorWerks 👍 SHARP DC MotorWerks From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧 ⏰️ 19:58pm

10/10 content, this channel should be blowing up with Benz enthusiasts..
Great work guys. Patience paid off in the end.
Patience is key to car repair these days but with most shops being flat rate, not many do it.
Great cars when they were new, I had two 95 model C220s back in the day
Still great we think!
This video was awesome!

Thank you so much!
The W202 is such a great car. My 99 C280 has 222k miles on it and runs like a champ.
1k subs!! congrats, this is only the beginning!!
Hope so! Thank you!
That was real eye opener

I agree, the classic center is a façade

The Bruno cars are great. Just have to have some knowledge of them or they can be intimidating
I had to pause at about 7:00 to go check my front door. But nobody was there... strange...

Are you the guy from vinwiki?
Yes I have stories on VINwiki, hope you enjoy them!
I personnally have a guy who disable this system all together
You seem very....sedated. You have a regular guy?
Just who I am I reckon! Sorry if we disappointed
Todd, That’s just rude, it’s okay to keep some thoughts to yourself.
