Yes you need a subscription on trimble catalyst

I could not get my DA2 to connect to Apglos Survey. It did not find my DA2

You have to connect the DA2 with trimnle mobile manager. If you then turn on the use of phone gps in other settings in Apglos Survey Wizard then you can use the position of the DA2
