Here is the official trailer for J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, an upcoming fan edit that will combine the Hobbit trilogy into a single 4-four film experience. Coming December 2015! Visit www.maple-films... for more info.
I used to say that the Hobbit Trilogy was the perfect Hobbit film surrounded by five hours of extra guff. Thank you for proving this theory and producing what's now my favourite adaptation of the hobbit.
Extra guff indeed. Thank you!
Ploudwdnio.
Just watched the fan edit, and it made me love the Hobbit films instead of hating them. I'm proud of you guys for making this and reminding me of the magic that is Tolkiens's Legendarium.
Thanks so much! I wish the films didn't have to be re-edited at all, but I'm glad that so many people have enjoyed this version of them.
Maple Films Your edit made me cry at the end! Thank you
This is the only way I can watch The Hobbit. It is still a flawed movie, but this is about as good as edit as you'll find. I've seen several of them - including the Arkenston Edit - none match this one.
Where can i find it? I looked for it everywhere?
@@charis2318 clearly not everywhere, you didn't check the description
I saw lord of the rings in cinemas when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I remember when news about The Hobbit started to appear. First they announced Guillermo del Toro for it, my hype was up to the sky because I'm mexican and having a mexican director for my favorite saga was way epic. Then he quit out the project but we got Peter Jackson back and that was still great, we were having Lord of Rings Movie Trilogy mastermid back. I remember being excited for every single news, the dwarves design, Christopher Lee, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Ian Holm and even Elijah Wood were back, and other new amazing actors for the saga like Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Luke Evans. Everything was perfect...
Until the movies came out. As a fan I tried to convince myself to like them, trying to think it wasn't another Star Wars prequel trilogy case. But i couldn't like them, and actually, I never watched them again, The hobbit had been my worst movie disapointment... Until now...
Man, I can honestly say that what you did put The Hobbit Trilogy at Lord of the Rings level, for me it was like watching a completly new movie, a completly new adventure. Good scenes were actually there, but the original cut couldn't make them work but yours could. I watched the 4 hours in one run and time went really fast, I never felt bored at all. I have no words to thank you, this is a game changer from today in my next Lord of the Rings Marathon. I will share this in all spanish and latinomaerican groups on facebook i belong. More Tolkien universe fans must know about this!
Thank you very much!
Normal people: If you don't like the movie go and do it yourself

Maple Films i downloaded your edit and after watching, it now sits on a usb stick inside my extended LoTR Blu-Ray trilogy box for the yearly viewing. Thank you for the utterly amazing job, signed, Tolkien fans worldwide.
Ha, that is great to hear! So glad that it has found its way into the regular LOTR marathons of so many Tolkien fans :)
Maple Films thanks also for taking the time to reply. You deserve the accolades. 🤙🏻
@@muska34 No probs :D
That silent FU to radagast in the eagle made my day.
LOL you're welcome
Finished watching this last night and man this is epic. While watching it the only thing that detracted was the overuse of CGI from the original films... then I see clips of stuff that you cut and I realise... it was so much worse than I remember it being, I can't help but laugh.
Thank you for making this edit, this makes the hobbit good enough to rewatch with the LOTR trilogy!
Thank you so much…it means so much to know that people are still enjoying this fan edit 😀
It's curious, my mother always says that the hobbit movies are more easy for her to re-watch than LoTR, she finds LoTR boring in comparison😅.
I love that you've cut out Legolas from most of the movie, reducing it to a cameo makes it more special, plus i found most of his action scenes in the original cut to not add up compared to how he fights in LOTR, so the fact that you've shown less makes it more accurate, i'm sure that was intentional in your part, this fan edit made me love The Hobbit much more! I was sure there was an amazing movie hidden in this mess of a trilogy,, you've managed to show that amazing movie!
Legolas wasn't created yet so it does make sense why he would be in the hobbit but Tolkien hadn't thought of him yet
Just watched this and it made the trilogy much more enjoyable. Made me recognize a lot of legit qualities in the second and third films that got buried by all the excess.
Only just learned of the existence of this edit. I've been hoping for someone to make this exact kind of edit and look forward to seeing it.
I've seen 4 different fan edits of these films, this is by far the best one.
I just want to say me and my dad love this fan edit and we appreciate all the hard work you did to make it happen
Thank you, always love to hear that this fan edit continues to find fans. Not sure what can be done about Rings of Power though...
Just finished your cut and I am blown away. You have managed to turn the bloated 9 hour trilogy into one 4-hour film that is far more enjoyable than the theatrical releases, cutting almost all of the unnecessary scenes (including the Fili and Tauriel love story), changing the color palette to be more in tune with Lord of the Rings films, and much more. I will now include this Maple Films edit with my Lord of the Rings marathon every year! Thank you Dustin Lee!
Watched the movie last night. I love the Hobbit trilogy, but I was still interested in this fan edit. I was absolutely blown away and will probably only watch this version from now on. The Hobbit trilogy does indeed have a lot of glaring issues, and although I could mostly look past them when watching the movies, it's just so great to be able to watch the Hobbit without those problems.
Thank you so much!
Very well done! The only noticable ”amateurish” cut was the transition from An Unexpected Journey to The Desolation of Smaug. Apart from that it felt like a professionally edited movie.
Great fan Edit but that was definitely a work with what you got moment.
When was that? I didn't notice it
@@thecianinator when they're on the eagles and Gandalf says they'll go to Beorns House. It's clearly not voice-over dialogue but in the fan edit it has to be used as voice-over dialogue.

Just wanna say I watched your edit for the second time last weekend with my 60 year old father and we both loved it. Your edit really does elevate the films into a masterpiece. Like another user said, it now sits in a USB stick I pull out whenever revisiting the Lord of the Rings movies.

I watched this fan edit today, and I got to say that I'm most impressed! Fantastic job Maple Films

@@MapleFilms great how do I get it.
the color correction looks beautiful
THANK YOU! This is SOOO much better than the original films.
Saw this over two evenings. Fantastic experience. Great work. It'll become part of my yearly LotR rewatch.
This has become the only way I can watch director Peter Jackson's vision of The Hobbit. It is now part of my Middle-earth movie marathon (in place of the overstretched Hobbit movie trilogy). It's so nice to experience it as one film with all of the side-quests, most of the unnecessary characters, and many of the silly CGI moments omitted. Truly a remarkable improvement presented in great HD quality and closer to what a Hobbit movie should have been. It is well edited and J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit is more faithful to author J.R.R. Tolkien's source material. I highly recommend this film-edit to anyone who was disappointed with the The Hobbit movie trilogy like I was. Thank you Maple Films!
Thank you for the nice review and I'm glad you've enjoyed this fan edit so much!
Read the hobbit novel in midsummer and I just watched this. It was an amazing experience. The trilogy almost made me fall asleep at some point but this was a lot more enjoyable to watch.
The original just bored me to death, I thought my ass would grow roots in my chair as I sat and watched with growing disbelief how far from Tolkiens story it was. This restores Tolkiens story to the best that can be done without access to all of the material and is a better job than what the studios put out, its now closer to what it was probably intended to be and watchable, better colour, better editing, more coherent, less boring if that's possible, more entertaining, it's what it's supposed to be a fairy tale prequel to the Lord of the rings and not an epic for epics sake. So nobody should fall asleep watching this edit or worry about having to shave due to the length of the film, it's just right and your kids can watch it too and enjoy it for what it was supposed to be and they won't have grown up and gone to uni before it's over! Great job, well done by a Tolkien fan who strangely has technological ability as well as enthusiasm for folklore , very happy, very pleased with this cut. I highly recommend it as a Christmass film, Christmass eve, glass of port, put your feet up a roaring fire and the kids entranced. I guess it made a hobbit of me and restored my faith for a moment, I'll get to be a kid myself again and share their pleasure at least to the 25th of December. Its a happy edit and that's all it needs to be. T
This review is entertainment in its own right, haha. Thank you!
I just watched this today. WHAT an epic. I can’t believe this wasn’t the ACTUAL movie. What on EARTH did they stretch it to three for? Just to say, watching it..I could see not one clue that this was a “fan edit” it just was a great movie. Thanks for the edit.
Thank you so much!
If you're still wondering, check out Lindsay Ellis' video series on the Hobbit films. It's a three parter, but the answer to "why" is mostly on the second part.
@@AP-0 will check it out! 👍
Watched the fan edit, and boy it is sooo much better than the original.
Great job
Holy SNAP. My least favorite part of the originals was how long the battle was at the end, you managed to not only shorten it, but still maintain a cohesive scene. The way you managed to cut between Fili and Kili works so well. I’m trying to download the edit now so I can add it to my frequent rewatched of the LotR trilogy
Thank you...re-editing the battle was the absolute hardest part about the entire project.
The only way I watch Peter Jackson’s version of the Hobbit now. Thank you Maple films! 👏 👏 👏
I've seen An Unexpected Journey once in theaters and once on Blu-ray, and the other two only once in theaters. I remembered the trilogy as being mostly forgettable, especially BoFA which was really meh. But having just reached the intermission of this version, I'm really enjoying it a lot.
I love the focus staying with Bilbo and the Dwarves and I especially enjoyed the way you edited Bilbo's finding of the ring. He just kind of happens upon it without having to see Gollum dragging the goblin away and the audience having to explicitly see him drop it during the struggle. I'm excited to finish watching now! Well done!
Thank you so much for not only this amazing edit, but providing the .iso files and cover art! J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit sits gorgeously next to my Lord of the Rings boxset, and, as with many others, is now a part of my annual marathon. Can't thank y'all enough!
So glad you took the time to download the ISO files and cover art…it’s definitely worth the extra work!
Wow, never realized there was greatness in these movies until all the extra was stripped. Im now a hobbit fan. Thanks!
Love this edit so much! It doesn’t even come off as a fan edit
And I still can’t believe how it turned the trilogy into an actual good movie
Its so much better it hurts!!!
Great job, guys!
Came back to this during quarantine because I felt like I need to escape from all this shit going on. Still an absolutely incredible edit. It's hard to even think about going back to the originals knowing this exists.
Thank you so much, I don't think I can ever go back toy watching the originals either! I greatly appreciate that you've enjoyed watching it- stay safe :)
I just finished watching this edit of the movie, and WOW! It's incredible! I absolutely love it! Thanks Maple Films, for your great work!
Amazing edit, I've showed it around and it has become one of my favourite movies. It's a mix of what's great from the book and what's great from the movies.
This is the absolutely best The Hobbit out there. Finally I can enjoy it!
I just finished the edit and wow. Really solid work. I once hated these films, but this helped me to love them. Thank you.
Thank you! It's disappointing that many will only ever know the Hobbit trilogy as it was released in theaters :(
I just saw your complete edit and enjoy it, in perfect HD and amazing 5.1! I always thought what The Hobbit would be like if I reassembled it by following the book and removing everything that had nothing to do with it and spoiled it; although I was always lazy, and I recently discovered this project that successfully made it. So congratulations and a thousand thanks for making me enjoy this way and giving me the definitive and perfect work.
This one was GREAT !!! A fitting start to the LOTR trilogy ... 10/10 I would recommend it ... Nothing apart from the book in this edit .... Mainly , Tauriel and the Gandalf Dol Guldur side quest doesn't even appear in this edit ... Peter Jackson really went overboard with his imagination of Dol Guldur with Galadriel , Elrond and Saruman ... Glad the Kili romance and Dol Guldur was removed ... Even Legolas comes only in 3 scenes ... Smooth editing ...
Great job , Maples Film Team ! You fulfilled every fan's dream of a Hobbit movie !
Star Wars and now this?!
My holiday season is set.
I’m just finding your edit and watching it at the moment. It’s phenomenal. You can and should be extremely proud. The edits are clean and unless you know exactly what you are looking for, a normal person wouldn’t even know that it is different from the theatrical version.
I love, love, love this edit. Having said that, I can't deny that I would love to see the prologue, Azog/moria flashback stuff and Dol Guldur storyline inserted into this version. The "THE HOBBIT: THE ORIGINAL TWO FILM STRUCTURE " did a really nice job of incorporating the Dol Guldur storyline whilst removing the more troublesome aspects of it (warg/bunny chase). I also think that version managed to edit Kili's death in a cool way. Still, you did a phenomenal job. Thank you for sharing.
Do you think that version is better than this version?
Also, this editor put all that stuff you missed into a separate companion piece called Durin's Folk and the Hill of Sorcery, it's on his website right next to this fanedit.
This is way more pleasurable to watch, especially if you're a fan of the book. I didn't even realize there was a color correction and it fits quite well together as a standalone movie. It's really baffling how cutting half the trilogy can make this a more enjoyable experience, for me at least...
However it naturally tends to build up more inconsistencies on top of the pre-existing logical and lore-inconsistencies of the original movie trilogy. You know, with those scrawny "dwarves", laughable "beards" (poor Thorin), out-of-place mounts, weakly portrayed orcs and loads of filler scenes to butcher the pace and content of Tolkien's book, but I guess that's how it is...
Yet there are some scenes the edit cut away I would've liked to see, the mountain giants (not that Indiana Jones stuff the dwarves do, just the giants wrestling and throwing rocks at each other, like in the book), Bombur's sleepy time, more of Beorn and the first meeting between Radagast and Gandalf (again, no over-the-top action, just their dialogue, so it becomes clearer why Gandalf has to leave before entering Mirkwood).
The hype I experienced from this trailer is equal to the hype I had for An Unexpected Journey
the Corridor Crew just made a funny video about Bilbo writing The Hobbit as a trilogy for money.. 🤑 "Forcing Movies to Explain Their Sequels"
I commented that they should watch this amazing edit
Keep the torrent alive brothers!
I've been looking to rewatch all of the Jackson films but with this instead for years. I think I'm gonna finally do it and Ive heard this is the best edit. Side note: Looking at your website I actually found out we went to the same high school. My sister and your sister were like besties at Stafford. Anyways. Congrats on your work my man.
I watch this before watching the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings. Great job on this.
Thank you!
@@MapleFilms You're welcome.
Love the edit, its going to be part of the marathon from
Now on, just wished you didnt cut EE beorn scene and Moria flashback :(
I agree, especially the Moria flashback, it helps establish why these random Dwarves look up to Thorin, and strengthens the bond between him and Balin and why we see Balin as a right hand man that is respected by the leader of the Dwarves.
Thanks to this edit I now have a Hobbit movie to watch! You don't even miss the metric ton of garbage that was added to the story. I feel like there's a solid 45 minutes (at least) that could still be gutted out of this thing to make it perfect, but for now this will do. Excellent job! Maybe someone else will pick up the gauntlet and get it down to 3 hours :)
AMAZING WORK! Can't wait.
I liked the fan edit. I agreed with nearly every decision and honestly prefer it to the movies themselves. However it has problems
There are a few things that are cut that make a few lines weird. For example: When Thorin and company arive at Rivendell, Thorin acts surprised they're there. But in the fan edit we never get the chase scene that shows them desperately running away. So it's weird Thorin didn't know where they were going and never asked anyone.
There are a few cool scenes that were cut as well. Mainly the council of elrond scene. More specifically, Gandalf's line about Bilbo and small acts of kindness fending off darkness. I understand why the scene was cut but wished that the editor had tried to find a way to work the line in.
Also, I liked the new color palette except in the shire. The de-saturation is EXTREMELY noticeable and the shire feels really dull since all the vibrant grass has been washed out.
I just watched it yesterday and it's brilliant! I found myself connecting a lot more with Bilbo and the dwarves in your edit than I did in the original. Some of the cuts were a little noticeable but I honestly do not care because it is still really well done and they were probably unavoidable. When I first started I didn't even notice you cut out Frodo and the prologue.
Also before I watched your version I did not know the scene between Bofur and Bilbo at the gate existed and I love that scene so much.
Definitely will recommend this version to my friends who love the book just like me. One more thing I do think that it is important to watch Jackson's versions to have a better understanding of this version.
I personally thought this was amazing, *WAYYY* better than the original theatrical releases, and actually enjoyable, as opposed to the idiotic slogfest the films originally were.
I really don't think the changes need to be that drastic to save these movies. Keeping the trilogy, and cutting each installment by 20-30 minutes gets rid of the most egregious bad decisions and dialogue created by Jackson, and still retains (and even improves) the plot and pacing. I'm working on it right now, and it's going great. Not everything Jackson added is completely horrible, and not everything that Tolkien wrote lent itself to becoming a film for 21st century audiences. You've gotta find a balance between the two, and not be such a purist, or overly concerned about the length of the films to lose sight of that.
The original and extended version of The Hobbit is unwatchable. This fan edit is superior. I finally enjoy this movie.
@@hellokoukkouk6007 Did you finished it?
I LOVED this edit! And this is coming from someone who loves the original Hobbit trilogy. But I like to see different interpretations! Makes it all the more fun. I think I only have three nitpicks. I think, Azog's introduction is a bit too sudden. But then again, there isn't really anything you could have done there, given that the only two things we see of him beforehand are the Moria flashback and the Weathertop scene and both didn't really fit with this edit. Then I think that the transition between AUJ and DOS was a bit clunky, mainly due to the sounds of the dialogue. And then, the last thing: How did Thorin get Orcrist back in your edit? He definitely had it taken from him by Legolas. And then he suddenly just has it in his arms again. I think, it could have been nice to keep Legolas's fight with Bolg in to a minimum, which would also explain why Bolg isn't there anymore and why Thorin has the sword back. I know that Bolg's death was different in the book, but you can't keep EVERYTHING faithful to the page. But again, that's only my personal opinion. Otherwise, I LOVE your take on The Hobbit! Really felt the emotions of the epicness at the end.
I absoluely loved it. I never had huge problems with the Hobbit Movies. I still like checking out the extended.I just think they are fun movies and I don't hold them to the same height as lotr. I still really like the dol guldur scenes and the white council. However this edit was fucking amazing. The movie FLOWED so much better. Legolas's character is awesome in it too, way better. Love triangle gone and the ending was really great. I loved pretty much all of your editing choices(Fili and Kili especially) throughout the film. It was cool man!
I'm so glad this exists! A four hour, nonstop adaptation of The Hobbit to me is THE WAY the film should've been made. So sad that even artists like Guillermo and Peter can get fucked over by the scumbags in the movie business.
I'm one of those people who always wanted more when it comes to Middle Earth, I couldn't fathom the idea of cutting anything and missing an extra glimpse into that universe but I did not like The Hobbit much at all because of the bloatedness, strange pacing, and CGI cartoony acrobatics. I couldn't consider it a companion piece to LOTR yet it tried hard to be just that as well as something that could stand on its own. Your edit really makes it fit into the same tone as the trilogy and made it a great prequel. I tried watching it as if I was watching The Hobbit for the first time ignoring the obvious cuts and it evoked the same emotion as when I watch LOTR. The color grading took time to catch on but I think in the end it's integral to associating this movie with the others.
I’m dying to watch this. I was backpacking SE Asia when part one came to theaters. I took a 16 hour bus and a ferry to get to a theater for opening night. I can’t explain my utter dismay/shock/disappointment at how terrible the film was. I waited years to watch the others and they were even worse than I suspected. I watched The Bilbo Edit and it was everything I’d hoped Jackson’s would be. I’ve heard this is even better. Is there anywhere I can watch on my phone?
I finished watching it yesterday. I didn't like them at the theatre, too bloated, too many things that didn't have to do with The Hobbit itself, so it was a drag, aside from unrealistic (a dwarf and an elf in love, wtf?).
When I was watching them in the theatre I was thinking how to make them better editing, as I edited the two towers and return of the king, but it was too much work, but you pulled it perfectly. You told Tolkien story in half the time much better than PJ.
Thank you very much! It took a lot of work to cut the trilogy down but I am very proud of how it turned out.
The music alone makes me want to go on a an adventure..
As much as I love this idea, I think I liked the original color more. It was more vibrant, fantasy feeling, and, well, colorful.
That I feel worked well for the story they were telling and the whole film is book ended via someone writing a story down. So it's a fantasy fantasy. Also I think the necromancer stuff has to be seen his name is dropped in the book and on screen you can't have a major character just leave saying I have something more urgent to deal with and not see it
Yes you can. They do it in the book lol.
but a book is different then a film and if you take the books in to account we know what gandalf was doing
I've seen this edit multiple times now. It works in the movie. The only problem with this edit in my opinion is when Smaug comes bursting from the mountain. While they digitally altered the gold to look more like the tone of his scales, it still looks weird.
I really don't think the changes need to be that drastic to save these movies. Books are not the same as movies people, you need to understand that.
Starting it right now!
I watched this today and I couldn’t be happier with it! Brings back the magic of the original LOTR films and made the Hobbit like it was meant to be. Tolkien would be proud.
I just watched the full movie. I enjoyed the cutting out of the dwarf asshattery and didn't miss she elf one bit. Jackson was more determined to play with and tout technology and 3D than to make a good film based on The Hobbit. You think he would have learned from his mistakes in the LOTR films. Dwarves acting like the Three Stooges and watching a sleigh being pulled around by rabbits just to stretch the running time was completely a waste of time.
As much as I like The Tolkien Edit, this one is better in my opinion.
what do you mean?
@@sKarr6988 there is another fan edit called Tolkien edit
This cut is the new cannon. I do not care. It definitely is the way to watch the hobbit.
I just watched this work, simply fantastic, the only version I'll watch now, I was very happy to have it with Portuguese subtitles, it would be a dream to have a dubbed version
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you also alter the soundtrack in some scenes? If I recall, the scene where they're attacked by the wolves and orcs used the Nazgul theme which made no sense, but when I watched your cut it used a different theme.
In my family, my parents read my little brother the book before letting him see the movie based on it. Right now my dad is reading him The Hobbit but doesn’t want to sit through the movies again. So instead I’m going to have my brother watch this edit.

hello, can you please sort out English subtitle in right timing please? I am deaf myself and I don't think they are following. love your fan edit and love how you did the title transition! the hobbit title is more than enough
Hello, the subtitles for the film are available on our Maple Films website!
This makes the movie much more focused, and important arcs are more noticeable. The character building is better because of that, and what you did with the pacing. The only scene I wish stayed was the scene were Balin tells the story of the battle of Moria. That would make Azog’s introduction less “awkward”. It would have also built the character of Thorin and Azog a bit more. Beyond that great work. Really want to make a video about this.
Edit: I know you included that scene in Durin’s folk and the Hill of Sorcery, wish BTW is a very good option for exploring more of the lore behind The LOTR movies. But I think you could maybe have used it in the main film also. :)
Split this into two and you get pretty much the original intention.

Just watched this...
If I ever have kids they are 1000% watching this before that goddamned dumpster fire of a trilogy.
This was at least eight billion times better than the original stuff.
ALL THE CHEERS.
Lol. Same for my kids...have to keep future generations safe :)
I would love to see an extended cut of this jrr tolken cut. Meaning only including the gandalf subplot. And maybe putting in the camp scene when they talk about the pale orc for the first time but without the king being killed in the flashback.
I'm glad that fan edits are a thing. Three films was too many and to justify it the story was filled with nonsense, shitty aggregate (cough cough *Taurie*). At the end of the day money was the deciding factor when these films were produced and so what could have been one great film became one mediocre film and two bad ones.
I just learned about this and im so excited to watch it with my bf! It will be his first time watching the hobbit so i wanna do it right
Hey. Would it be okay for someone who hasnt experienced the trilogy to watch this edit anyways? I don't own the official copies but they do sit in my Prime subscription. I planned to watch it with my family after we finished LotR but I'm not sure that'd be a good idea lol
My Only concern with this edit is Azog. Besides that, it looks great!
His role is kept to a bare minimum in this edit...it would have been impossible to remove him completely since he factors so heavily into the fates of some of the dwarves!
@@MapleFilms I love how Azog gets named dropped by the goblin king and that's all the setup we get for him, then he just shows up out of nowhere and it's totally believable that his entire personality is just "violent bastard", and that's enough.
I'm gonna make my dad watch this for sure.
Are there subtitles available for this!?
How did you download? It stops after 15 minutes, says I have to wait four hours to get more bandwidth, then in four hours it just resets to another four hours. Unable to download.
If this is supposed to be closer to the book, then why didn't you include extended Beorn scene from Desolation of Smaug?
The extended Beorn scene, while it was a nice nod to the book, didn't really work in the film. We don't need to have a 5-minute scene with the dwarves being introduced one by one again. It's redundant information. I did include this scene in my side-quest film, Durin's Folk and the Hill of Sorcery. You can watch it here: vimeo.com/130716015
eldusto84 Shame. I thought that scene brought some light hearted humor to the book and the movie. It wasn't just a typical introduction scene.
I just thought it would obviously be in the fanedit if it's purpose is to make it as close to the book as possible.
But man, that scene in the movie doesn't work at all. I have issues with a lot of scenes in the trilogy of films, but man I REALLY hated that scene in the movie.
Why is it so extremely hard to find a way to watch this or any of these fan edits by simply being able to find a streaming version or download link to download to a phone? I am extremely frustrated to now just finding out all these fan editions exist but not a one of them make it easy to be able to watch through streaming or download links.
great work, im a lil annoyed you removed the company meeting beorn coz that was from the book. also i really dont know why you took our the giant rock battle, coz thats also in the book. also i can imagine it must have been difficult to not add Azog as he's just mentioned once in the book. other than that, a much better Hobbit adaptation. goes to show that jackson did care about the source material and that studios interfered a little too much with the cuts we got. thank you for this
It’s just so it not to long. Even if it’s in the books, if it’s not entirely necessary to the story it was cut out
The "giant rock battle" is NOT in the book.
Can anyone give me a link to actually download it? Legitametly can't find a link

Where am I supposed to watch this legally?
Does it still play the Nazgul theme when Thorin walks down the burning tree?
No, because that scene is removed from the edit!
I am downloading the digital copy right now. Any idea on how to combine the seperate 5.1 AC3 audio with the main file

Edit: just did it with k-lite media player and watched the movie. It was an amazing experience from beginning to finish! Will recommend this to as many people I know into LOTR lore as I can. Thanks a lot for your effort my friend.
Really great edit. A bit disappointed you didn't include Thorin taking off the crown and beating the dragon sickness but alright.
Have you considered releasing a version that puts re-inserts the Dol Guldur plot and the prologue? I feel like this is so close to being perfect. Gandalf is such an iconic and important character, I get in the book he just vanished from time to time but this the Peter Jackson version, and it feels odd to not show where the wizard runs off to.
Go to his website, he put all of that stuff into a separate fanedit that's like 45 minutes long. It's called Durin's Folk and the Hill of Sorcery. It's like a little bonus companion film to the main story.
Do I have to create an account for MEGA in order to download the digital version cause it won't let me. Also do I need to download the audio file as well?
19 peter jacksons disliked it.
i love this movies soooo muchhhh
But how will it be with sound and music? I fear the cuts will feel way more noticable because of music and sound effects not adding up.
I am a professional video editor and took great care to make the music and SFX transitions as smooth as possible. Aside from a few unavoidable instances, the transitions in the edit should be seamless.
@@MapleFilms That sounds amazing. Can't wait to watch it.
