Very cute bag! I’m a part-time seller and have experienced non-payers a few times as well, it’s so frustrating!! I would change the listing to not accept best offer, then if the buyer wants it they HAVE to pay right then and there. You could accumulate watchers then put it on sale for the lowest price you’re willing to accept. Again forces the buyer to pay up front! I don’t mind if items sit in my store for awhile, eventually the right buyer will come along! I actually have a vintage Gucci bag I’m going to list soon so I’ll take my own advise 😊 Good Luck!

I don't sell my bags on ebay anymore. Too many complicated fees, takes way too long to get your money if you're not a frequent seller, and people are just plain nuts on there. Have you tried selling it on Mecari? Mecari automatically charges the buyer when the seller accepts their offer or they outright buy the item. People can't back out. And they can't offer you anything less than 75% of your listing price. Plus they only charge 10% in selling fees. I love that app. I'll never go back to ebay
Interesting take on Mercari. I bought a bag on that site yesterday and 1 hour after I bought it, the seller cancelled my purchase. This was my first time using this site and I am very disappointed. I don't get how a seller can back out but my card was charged right away. A refund will be issued but that's not the point. Sellers should honor the purchases!
Shonnie08 It could be the seller had it listed on other sites too and it sold and they forgot to mark as sold or delete on Mercari....that’s one scenario at least!
I had one person buy a Tory Burch bag I wore once. The buyer asked me how much I paid for it originally and I didn’t answer her question and then she sent me another note like “how much did you pay for it!?” It was super weird. I’m sorry but its not of your business what I originally paid
You can choose to require payment immediately on eBay.
I tried selling on eBay and every single offer I got was a scam, so I stopped. I have multiple bags I’d like to sell and nowhere to sell them for fear. People are just awful sometimes.
I had great success selling on Mercari, it's basically final sale and hard for buyers to return unless it's not as described or they got it damaged. Mercari wont accept returns if buyer changed their mind, there has to be something wrong with item for them to approve a return. Please check it out, I highly recommend Mercari.
Offers are binding on Mercari so they take the buyer's funds and wait for seller to accept or counteroffer and sale is final, there isn't an invoice sent to buyer unlike ebay which buyers often ignore there.

Arenita.LB I just hate and it’s the same with Poshmark too, that the buyer has three days to rate your item, and the last few sales I had the buyers did not rate at all, I think it’s so rude because they know you are waiting for your money and I make sure I ship quickly, package well, communicate with them and they can’t even be bothered to leave a rating. That’s just a pet peeve of mine, other people may not mind it, but it really irks me.
Omg thank you for sharing. So sorry babe. I totally agree with you. That has happened to me several times. Now if I sell on eBay. I list buy it now with immediate payment required. So if the buyer is serious. They can only check out if they pay instantly. Otherwise they can’t checkout and the bag auction doesn’t close so it is still available for real serious potential buyers. On the other hand if I’m in the buyer seat. I try to only ask the seller a question or for more pics if I am serious also I’ll ask all my questions at one time so I don’t have to keep bothering the seller. I totally sympathize babe. I have a bag for sale on poshmark and Mercari and I am getting similar situations ..... people asking me questions constantly ask for more pictures and the same people will ask me the same questions on both sites 🤦🏻♀️ it’s so annoying
I remember dealing with that none sense when I bought sold traded a few years ago. Very weird stuff. Trends of hive mind that make no logical sense.
Hey girl, I feel your pain! I had a lot of the same issues trying to selling my LV speedy B on Ebay. Ended up taking fashionphile's low offer just to be done with it.
I hear you. I sold a Fendi tote in literally like new condition for half of what I paid to Fashionphile just to get it out of my closet. I'm kind of kicking myself for it. They pay very little for mint condition and then sell it on their site for $1000 more than it sells on the retail site. I just bought the LV Neverfull MM in the empriente black leather at the LV store for $2260 and Fashiophile has it in "excellent" condition MISSING the pouch it comes with for $1000 more. What the heck is that about. They have a few of them for more than what the LV store has it for and it's in stock in a lot of stores.
I have gone through this...it is exhausting and annoying. Potential clients are looking for uber deals right now. I use Poshmark, higher fees, but cleaner over all sales platform. You do get offers using their negotiating platform, but more clean cut. You accept offer, they pay. Some clients will try to circumvent the negotiating tab through using comments under your ad, so I ask them to use the negotiating tab instead. Problems of non-qualified buyers get cleaned up. So far no problems yet. Sales are tough right now...I just got a give away offer yesterday...countered and it was declined. But at least I don’t have to die by a thousand cuts. Hope that helps ❤️

When I list on Poshmark I take as many photos as I'm allowed and I am extremely thorough when describing my items. I leave no stone unturned, so I think, lol.
I can relate.! I resell purses too. I hate when they send insultingly low offers.!🤬🤬🤬 I hate when they waste time or accept a offer and never pay.!🤦🏼♀️😤😤😤😤 I block everyone that doesn’t pay.! I add them straight to my blocked list.! I have over 300 ppl blocked from buying my stuff. It’s just a shame that I even have too.🙄
That is a gorgeous bag though and great cond.😍 I actually have one nearly the same. But it’s the anniversary edition from 70s & has a anniversary tag inside plus the Gucci tag. It’s soo unique and I’ve never seen any Gucci bag with these tags. I can’t bring myself to resell it. Plus it’s coated canvas and so it’s Wonderful cos it never stains or gets wet etc. I do wish the size of mine was larger though. (It’s about the same size as yours.) I prefer enormous bags.! 😂 I’m super tall though & it’s just way more practical for my life to carry huge bags. I.e. neverfull gym, Chanel xxl flap, etc.
Another thing that drives me INSANE ~ is when you list the exact dimensions in description it sells. Then I’ve had the buyers write me saying “It’s not as big as I thought it would be.” HELLO ~ UR BUYING A PURSE.! Take out a tape measured & compare the dimensions to ones that you carry often to see if it’s practical.! Alexandro Michelle from Gucci said it best ~ “Common sense is not that common.” 🤷🏼♀️🤣🤣 it’s true.! If I buy a bag (which I’m a purse addict.) I find out exact dimensions then see if it’s the same size or close to one of the bags I often carry. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ 🤦🏼♀️ It gets soo annoying. I can totally relate. Great video gorgeous and don’t get discouraged.
If I am watching an item that ends and then is relisted it still shows in my watched items. So if you do relist your watchers will still see it. Ebay even sends an email to let me know it was relisted. Just thought I would let you know that you don't lose your watchers if you have to relist the item.
I’ve had multiple people that just don’t pay. I don’t sell on eBay anymore.
I’ve experienced the same. Maybe you should try poshmark or tradesy. I try all platforms to get things sold. I know people also sell via Instagram and Facebook. Did you try getting a quote from Fashionphile? This is a lovely vintage bag and I’m sure the right person person will purchase at the right time. Stay safe and stay blessed! 💕💕
this is fascinating. my boyfriend sells on ebay and i just learned that not paying is even a "thing." i use poshmark and their 20% is more appealing now that i hear your story! i just ignore the time wasters on poshmark and wait for a real offer. i can feel your pain! annoyance.
jennifer g. lapan totally agree, I use Poshmark, higher fees but less headache! I price accordingly and may take a 30% hit but the process is cleaner.
If you consider the 10% discount which you may offer to buyers, the fee is actually 30% in the end with posh's 20. Ebay's fee is 10% if you have good standing, or 14% if bad standing plus the 3% paypal fee for those who pay with paypal, so the fee is only 13-17% compared to 30% on posh.
I hate listing on ebay I have the worst luck ever. I sell mostly everything through poshmark which is what I would recommend....gucci sells really well on posh plus if they submit an offer and you accept it there is no way of back tracking on their end cause they need to submit payment before sending an offer. I would honestly try listing it on poshmark! Just leave some wiggle room for offers and poshmark fee. I have waaaaay more luck on poshmark than mercari or ebay.
I have that same bag and i reall love it.
I like poshmark as a buyer it is nice because sellers do not get paid until buyer receives item..i just recently purchased a item on ebay and have not received it yet afraid it may have been lost in mail the tracking stopped on the 25th no updates or nothing since then..will have no choice but to file a claim here soon..a $78 purchase the seller has been paid ..but i have not received...i do like poshmark and mercari.. I understand your frusteration...about selling on ebay it can be a alot of work..in my scenerio i have contacted the seller but she acts like it is my problem now she was paid end of story..i hope i get my item and not.have to deal with this trying to get my money back...i am not sure how that works...i do like setup for poshmark and mercari ..i am quick to reply when item arrives so seller can get paid...but with ebay you have to pay first and in my situation i have not received yet...
See if the person is serious on buying before accepting the offer ask to see the amount in there bank account because it cost you the listing and this bag is easily replicated so people aren’t serious buyers when there looking for only replicas when this is real !
I’ve those times on Poshmark my bag was brand new it made it easier for me to sell
And then I’ve had time where I deleted my account because it was to much for me to do at the time

Do you ever sell shoes? I had a guy message me telling me his gf wanted these Chanel sandals I had listed & they asked me if I could send pictures of them on my feet. (the user name was a dudes name, so I knew it was a guy.) but omg ~I was like ok kinda weird but watever. So I put em on had my bf. Take the pictures, sent them to dude & the perveted pig started telling me how sexy my feet are and all this nasty stuff. I had to report the person.! But it’s like soo rude.! I wasted time taking pictures for what?!? Some disgusting pervert/predator 😤🤬🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ He had zero intention of buying them.

eBay has been terrible the past year! I think it’s because you can’t leave negative feedback on buyers. I had a buyer not pay and I left a neutral feedback on her and she threatened me after 😳 What the heck? I have never had this happen and now at least 5 times in the last year. I gave up and stopped listing stuff.
I don’t trust ebay feedback anymore. So many times I’ve not been “allowed” to leave negative feedback for buyers and sellers who truly deserve it!

If I may be correct this could be cause people that make replicas are asking you questions on this bag because it looks like it’s easily replicated !
It’s a low price bag so it attracts a lot of people who can only buy low-priced items…not all but many.

I had a large florentine Barlow once. It was very awkward to carry because it was so wide and the straps were too thick and short. I’ve seen the mini Barlow in person at an outlet I think and it’s definitely a cute bag! And I think it would be easier to carry. It is very small though, so just be aware it might not hold much.

Omg I have the same issues on eBay! I really think eBay needs to start going after these people. I constantly have handbags sell and they never pay! Same issues with the questions also...can I get more pics? Does it smell? Where did you purchase it? A million questions and then I never hear from them again! It is so frustrating and i have been so annoyed at times that I come close to deleting my eBay account! People just don’t care and it’s almost as though they’re playing a game where they purposely bid or buy and don’t pay. I feel your pain!!!
