So that’s what she’s been up to. I missed ya’ll. The past 3 years, and why I left the ‘London Life’ and my 6-figure business behind to travel. I’m not ungrateful for the life I had in London and the lessons I learned from it. I feel extremely grateful that I got to the stage I am now at, even if I did work my ass off for it and sometimes times were shhh. But it was definitely time to go.
I made this film for myself more than anything, to remind myself of what I did to get to this position and to take a crack at making my own films again. The wonderful thing is I’m now doing pretty much what I was doing in London, (editing films), but I’ve realised I can do it from anywhere in the world. I left in October 2022 and while there’s been a few big ups and downs, I am so content with this change.
So I can’t wait to share this next stage of digital nomad and remote working film stories with you. So far it’s been Bali, French Alps and St Lucia, but there’s so much more to come.
Comment and let me know what you’d like to see: tips and tricks for becoming a digital nomad, remote working film maker / editor, more of what I got up to - London flat tour, starting a film business, travel films and the best places to go? I’m all ears.
If you have any questions you wanna ask about any of this, holla!

Brilliant great to see you back 👍
Every now and then I remember how much I used to love your videos and I’m so glad that this time I there was something new from you!
Been watching your content since the early days of Longboard UK. So happy to see this. Can't wait to see what else you put out into the world!
Sorry the content has changed so much but thanks for still being here 🙏
@@wiildblooms No need to apologize lol, I've loved watching your filmmaking evolve :)
Great video Ella, and a great story. Looking forward to the next one......and finding out where you went next............
Good day,amazing , take it easy~ 👏
I have been waiting for this ;) Good to know you are fine so far. I am looking forward to the new content here and wish you the best.
It takes courage to do what you've done, and that in itself is so damn inspiring! Looking forward to see what future have in store for you! 😊
Good to see ya again here, finally quality is back here at YT again!:)
Appreciate that bud 🙏
One of my favourite filmmakers on UA-cam. I followed you to do the nc500 and then you went to Japan my favourite place in the world. What you need to do now is to get a campervan and travel the length of Japan. That I would love to see. Keep up the great work.
Best of luck. Very best wishes.
Ayyy been some time, looking forward to the new content 👌
You really went from teaching Longboard tricks on UA-cam to running a successful videography company to now traveling the world, such an amazing story. Been a fan since day 1 of LB UK, I still have my Original Apex 40 Double Concave that I bought based on your video. Excited to see where your story goes from here, Ella!
Cool video, glad you are still about, and making videos, glad I clocked subscribe long ago cause you skated ❤
That’s awesome I appreciate you sticking around!
I dont how how you’ve showed up in my youtube feed….but Im happy you did. This was amazing, real and refreshing all at once.
Subbed.
This is soooo good 🙏🏼🥰 made me emotional at the end… you’re so good at editing
Great to see your back on the tube been waiting for an upload for such a long time i loved your videos 😊
Long time no see. :)
so glad you finished editing it, so cool! :))
Cheers Hebes
My goodness, the last time i watched you you were longboarding what the helllll
Don’t tell me you moved to bali aswell I just been through a similar process and ended up in bali but im not yet established as a filmmaker/editor yet and if I don’t find an income, I am having to return to my „home“ austria aswell
I’ve already done and left Bali 😊 it was amazing but I’m doing more of a slow travelling stint - living in lots of different places over the next few years. Keep at it, I know it’s a gruelling process. If you do need to go home, save and establish yourself more before you continue there’s no shame in that! I get it, it would suck a bit, but you’ll come back and hit the ground running next time with a better idea/plan of what’s to come 💪
@@wiildblooms crazy that you are back now and we get so see what was going on with you, I originally stumbled upon your videos when i was searching for longboard tutorials haha long time ago, back then you could already tell you have a thing for video editing thats why I loved your videos even back then
Thank you for sharing this video Ella! This is a fantastic story documented with true honesty (what more content on socials and UA-cam needs!). It's amazing to hear you know what your true calling is (as many people don't) and you're now focusing on it. Sometimes our true calling, when we're most happy, isn't the easiest option or the option that makes the most sense to everyone else but if you're sure it's the best for you it'll almost certainly be the right option!
I'm on a similar journey myself. After being a freelance product designer/software engineer for 3 years and making 3x my previous salary I've recently pivoted my focus to building a Road Trip Planner called Wilder Trips. This currently makes absolutely no money but it's something that makes me so unbelievably happy! Sharing travel stories and helping people plan life-changing road trips is all I want to be doing and now that's finally the case.
