Side A’s Forevermore is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful OPM songs ever written!
They are the only band in the philippines or maybe in the world that release a cassette with only 2 songs, forevermore and tell me on each side which sold more than 90k copies according to wikipedia. Very courageous move 🤣

One of the well-loved bands in the Philippines. And this song stood the test of time, never lost its magic. It's been covered so many times, used in commercials, tele-seryes, weddings, Valentine's day celebrations, etc. Up until now, whenever you play this song, Pinoys will start to sing along. ❤️❤️❤️
American Idol David Archuelata recorded this song and was part of his album back in 2012. This song was/is David Archuleta’s favorite Filipino song and was always part of his repertoir in all of his performances.

FYI: Forevermore was written by Joey Benin of Side A and was released in 1995. Joey Generoso is the lead vocalist of the band, Side A and it became their hit single, earning so many awards and accolades.
Omg! I forgot about these guys. They had a concert in Florida (in the early 2000's) with Freestyle and Aiza Seguerra. My ex-bf was the one showing them around and we ended up going to Disneyworld with them. I was so embarrassed because I didn't know who they were. I only knew mostly filipino solo artists and Aiza was new back then. But they were all so kind and then I got to watch the concert the next day and their voices, LIVE.... blew me away. Videos and audio just doesn't translate to how amazing they sounded in person.

Side A is the most sought after band during the 90's. Before Freesyle came in, we all have Side A. Every song in their track is something not to be missed. Timeless. Everytime I listen to their songs, I always feel nostalgic. Oh, the 90s, it brings back a lot of good memories. Thanks for reacting to Side A. Side A was an icon this band was for the upper class of our society. My favorite songs from them were SO MANY QUESTIONS and SET YOU FREE I remember the tv commercial of the once most beautiful Filipina celebrity Lucy Torres then.
Lux Shampoo! With Richard Gomez on it! 90s really was the best era for entertainment in the Philippines and even for movies and TVs abroad including Hollywood. 🔥
Side A was the most famous band in the Philippines during their peak, and Forevermore was a favorite wedding march song. Their lead vocalist Joey Generoso has left the band, but Side A was able to maintain their definitive sound. I used to watch the band perform live in their gigs, and it was a beautiful experience.
Side A was and is still my favorite band. During my college days, me and my friends would track where they were going to have a concert or a gig (bands in the Philippines aren't particular with where they play) and we'll be there, singing our hearts out with them.
We grew up with this band and sing along with them like a national anthem..

Super iconic OPM! I remember when married couples used to give CD tracks to wedding guests as a "souvenir". You can always expect to have this included as one of the songs 🤣 I think this deserves to be known all over the world. Its very well written, arranged and sung 🙂

This is a perfect wedding song
Side A was formed in 1985 so yeah, they've been in entertainment forever. what makes them so solid is that they made the rounds of clubs and bars, gig after gig after gig until they got noticed and signed up and boom. fame didn't change them but nothing lasts forever and they guys slowly made their own paths. Side A still exists, although some members aren't with the group anymore.

Joey Benin who is the bass player wrote this song for his wife. He even sang it to her when he proposed to her again on their 25th anniversary. This is an iconic song and most played song during weddings. The best about OPM is the lyrics. Filipinos are very poetic. Forevermore, rainbow by south border, with a smile by eraserhead and you'll be safe here by rivermaya has the best lyrics for me. "With a smile" is my comfort song as a child and even up to now

Oh my...my favorite band and one of my favorite songs. Many women of my generation were in love with Joey Generoso's voice. "Hold On" is on another level.
It was the 90's and I was in college and my friends and I were like groupies who'd follow Side A wherever they had concerts: amusement parks, bars, universities etc. Their tickets were always affordable for us students and well, Joey Generoso is such a sexy man!
