If you flip one carousel, they will go in opposite directions. Just saying, it would be more symmetrical that way. The tail stamp could be only interesting to me, if I had different districts. Then I would give every district its own tail design. But I don't use districts anymore, therefore the tail stamp is nothing I consider important to this game.
You didn't need a 5x5 space on each end of the sunken storage, only a 3x3 (you made the same miscalculation in the R&D episode). When you checked the prototype for spacing you counted the end tiles of the overhangs across the top of the underground storage but those are not needed for the design, you just need 3x3 with the inside corner accessible to the central pathway. I'm also still rather confused as to why you feel you need a dedicated channel from the reserve storage to the front sluice outlet, you really don't. All you need is to feed the reserve into the main reservoir (the sluice already does that) and you're done. It'll function exactly the same way as it does now with the exception that the reserve will kick in to stop a total dryout if the main reservoir ever empties.
hey Skye, can you give us a quick overall power update. did all the gravity batteries get put in? how much power is stored? what was the final power output after it has settled down over a few seasons?, and how much power are all your added pumps consuming.? thanks loving this series.
38:48 You could run the power under the path to the upper pumps on both sides by pushing the power lines one closer to the centre, then connecting to the pump via a 90° corner like how the pumps are connected together.
It's looking really good. Besides the storage project I'd suggest irrigation and forest, that little/big one valley is going to look sweet when it's all treed in, and that hill in the middle with all the pondlets on it is an eyesore, like an abandoned water park, lol, if it was built out of terrain blocks and planted with trees it could be a focal point. Skye it might be worth making yourself a makeshift tunnel around the path under the badwater fall with impermeable floor parts so the beavers are much less likely to get sick
if you put plattforms in your helix staircase you can make it a 3x3 with the pathes. and you have created two 1x1 tiles of water underneath the bakerys for your power solution.
The dam around the skyebeavers is kinda shaped like a big ship, with some changes to the pumps on yther end you can make the whole thing look like a recoverd ship that the beavers made their home (it already has 2 smoke stacks)
A chance of a forest fire during a drought would make things interesting. If it gave the spot a buff for growing plants for a single crop cycle, that would balance out the chance of losing your entire forest/crop.

What had been really cool is if you could build a pipe running from the middle of the emergency reservoir underneath the city coming up behind the fountain. So basically a hole that spews forth water when it dry. But I can't figure out any way of hiding the levees forming the pipe and seeing them kinda running the illusion of water just appearing.
His storage is to the floor, there is no way to get water under it. And you can't build legitimate pipes right now. You have to do the wooden pipe levees. Which is an eyesore. There wouldn't be "water spewing" it would be water coming up from a hole slowly. Like a water source.
@@Bama_Boy if you put dam piece at the end of the pipe with platforms inside the pipe and cap it all will an watertight floor. You could get the water 'spewing out'. Or do the same but with a sluice gate would also get that effect. But as I said, you can't make it look good. And of course you couldn't put storage all the way down to the bottom of the map, if you did something like that. But as that is obvious I didn't think I had to point that out.
I guess the branding allows to make different districts more distinctive, *if* you are using districts. Kind of fitting, it is a feature for people who embrace pain.
I wonder if there's not a way to fill the emergency part of the dam using the overhead sluices during the next wet season, just to test out the whole system if nothing else (because I'm certain there will be at least one issue with it). Or just leave it flowing that direction permanently, let the beavers have a trickle-down waterconomy.
The double helix structure isn't just good for providing acces in two directions, as you mentioned a couple of videos before, but for easy access to different levels

Tebi is a larger number than Tera. Tera is the metric number, so 1000x1000x1000x1000 while Tebi is the binary number, so 1024x1024x1024x1024. You get less Tebibytes out of the same hard drive than Terabytes, but the actual number is larger.

The devs took them out of the game, causing too much of a performance problem on some hardware, so they pulled the feature so it doesn't stop the official release of 0.6 on the 10th of October. They promised they'll bring them back.
Alright, I will admit it. I have screwed up similarly on my own saves, but not with trees. I ran out of water because I was busy elsewhere and forgot I'd paused the water pumps during one of the longer droughts. That was a painful one.

The repositioning of the pumps was actually a good thing when you consider the lore; now the pumps are far more efficient because water pours from the arch above directly into the collection basins below. It's a reverse gravity pump! The beavers inside are actually there to close the collection diverter because it's actually so effective they are needed there to prevent flooding of the pump house ;)
I am sure the stamper could be somewhat useful for worlds with many *many* districts a world with like 7 districts could be made interesting to have each one with a unique differently coloured stamp and design, so looking at who's working at what at any time (especially those on the borders of districts) could be fun?

The Church's potatoes died off! Was it the wrath of the God Skye and His Prophet Picture? No! It was sabotage! A disgruntled scrapbot saw how good the Fry-ery of the Holy Potato had it and tried salting the fields! Little did that bot realize... all he was doing was pre-salting the fries!

I play Timperborn myself and you help a lot with your knowledge about the game. But! I found something out, I want to share with you! Every couple of days or circles I give my beavers a day of. I put the working hours on zero. I found out that after the colony is very big, beavers dont use the things you build, because they dont have time anymore. running and building takes too long. So I give them a day of, so they can use everything. This boosts the happiness! But be carefull, dont forget to put the working hours on again. It happened to me that i forgot and i was wondering why nothing was done :D Anyways.. Wish you and your better half a wonderfull day! Thanks for the videos! Nia
Should of put the detailors in scrap city. They remind me of tattoo shops which goes with the post apocalypse feel. Or even better use the designs to designate what district what never comes from and say it’s some kinda rival gang thing going on or something. I dunno if lore is your thing I can see a million reasons to like the detailer.

Now we need a cliff-edge carousel so when the kits act naughty or have been caught skye-ving off school/work, you take them to the carousel on the edge of a cliff and make them really scream in terror! Bonus points if the carousel is at the top of the skye-box drop goes to this games version of "bedrock" so we can get maximum punishment!

I agree re the tramp stamp machine.. To gameify it in my last map i made 3 gangs, and they were their gang marks. I even brought in my own images.

You can move the waterfall over the bridge to make it a feature. Free shower for beavers returning home from work.
