      10/10 would run Primitive personally. They use the absolute highest quality components in their lifts - no cheap Chinese parts 😬 and their springs don't start to sag like some of the other options out there. As far as the other spacers you'll need, their kits should include everything necessary. But give them a call. They've always been really helpful to me when I've had a product question.

    What up man.. I actually liked this video cause it opened up a better view of what I'm looking for. I have a 2014 Impreza that I'm starting with. I'm a long time Jeep guy so I know about lifting a vehicle with a proper lift not junk. This is my first ever Subaru build so I need help, first of all to find a lift for this specific model. I keep hearing that I can go with anything that will fit a Forester, is that correct? Please I would like to hear your Comment. Thanks in advance 👍

      Welcome to the subie club! I know the older Imprezas could be lifted with Forester suspension and had the same suspension configuration. But I don't know that it's still true on the newer ones like yours. I haven't met anyone that's built a 14 yet. There are some good Impreza kits made specifically for your car. So I'd look at those first.
      I also have an XJ so I'm all about that stuff too! Love it💪💪

All of those companies should have something for your car and are Subaru-specific brands with great r&d and customer service. • @clappedoutsubieshoopties2216
      @clappedoutsubieshoopties2216  8 місяців тому +1

      The hitch shouldn't cause any issues that I'm aware of. We just installed a 2 inch lift on a friend's outback that already had a hitch installed with no issues👍 having a hitch is actually a really good thing for off-roading since it gives you a safe place to recover from (just don't pull from the hitch ball 😅)
      But yes, you're on the right track! 1.5 - 2 inch lift with multi link spacers is what I would do personally on that car. The multi link spacers help recenter the rear wheels on the car after lifting.

    On average what would you guess the cost of a 2” lift kit after all’s said and done ?

    • @clappedoutsubieshoopties2216
      @clappedoutsubieshoopties2216  2 роки тому +2

      That's really hard to say. But I would imagine that if you do it properly, you're looking at around $450 to $550 for the kit. But that would be if you just did a strut spacer kit, which is most common. The price is all over the place if you choose to do a full suspension lift like iron man, flat out suspension, or one of the Primitive lift kits that includes King springs. And then you have to factor in whether or not you're going to do the lift yourself or if you will have a shop install it for you. And that price can very pretty dramatically depending on your location and the number of shops in your immediate area. But I found that most shops that I called wanted an average of about $580 to install a lift. But even that price will vary depending on the style of lift that you choose and how old your current suspension is and if they have to fight old rusty bolts.
      The good news is that there's not really any hidden costs aside from any other components that you choose to replace while you're in there. The next upgrades that I would do after a lift would be skid plates and then wheels and tires.

      @@HamSandvich what kind of Jeep was he looking at? Depending on what type of stuff you're trying to do, across track can be just as good as a jeep. But I actually own a lifted Cherokee and for actual wheeling, my Jeep is a lot more capable. Having a low range is really helpful on steep inclines when trying to spin bigger tires. But most of the time I enjoy driving my Subaru more. It gets a lot better gas mileage and it's far more comfortable to drive around.

      Of all the budget kits out there, they seem to be one of the better ones.
