Hey Michael, I discovered your reviews just a few weeks ago and am really enjoying your fresh approach to checking out these places. The only comment I have is about your labeling a certain roast beef sandwich as the best sandwich in America. In my opinion, while a north shore sandwich is good, it does not compare to Philadelphia's greatest sandwich; and it's not the cheesesteak. It's DiNic's Roast Pork. Tommy puts together his work of art on a large rusty italian roll, heaped with slow roasted thinly sliced pork, roasted red peppers, aged provolone, spinach, and au jus. There is NOTHING that comes close. Someday, plan a triip to Philly and check it out. It likely will be a humbling experience for you! In the meantime, keep up the good work! THAT'S IT. I'M DONE!
Love the passion And I love Philly And yes that spot has been on my radar I’ve heard that John’s is better But I’ll do both No doubt And North Shore Beefs are just unmatchable Yet I love Angelo’s cheesesteak in Philly
Yo Michael, Got a non food question You mentioned your love for the Pats In your opinion, rank the popularity of the 4 big Boston pro sports teams In Philly it's Birds, Phils, Sixers, Flyers. The city loves all four and shows up even during the dark times, fans show up. I know Boston is the same.
That’s a tough one to list Cause baseball has really turned for everyone This city has always been Red Sox first…..but it’s changed Celtics are always big here Bruins next Pats last This was never a football city until they started winning So that order But Sox have dropped off
@@michaelimondithereal I have a lot of respect for the pro sports in your area. a truly rich history with hockey, basketball, and baseball in Boston. Hell football too with all the recent success. I remember pre-'04 when the Boston sports scene was very similar to Philadelphia. A long tradition of coming up short. Celtics look damn good again. Sixers cant get their best players healthy or on the court at the same time. Flyers have been a disaster since Snider passed and even during his last years. But the future is looking bright.
Atha's is a calzone spot. They were in Lynn it was great not sure about Peabody but i think it's the same owners
Try Phillips roast beef in Rowley. I'm not gonna tell you it's life changing or anything, but it's definitely a good beef, better than average!!
Thanks for the tip
I’m sure I’ll eventually get to it
But for a long list to go
