My journey with Rey:
TFA - She's not a Mary Sue, give her time to develop her character.
TLJ - Ok she's a Mary Sue.
TRoS - She's basically space Jesus.
I like the picture of Michael Myers
chetn9ne she was a Mary Sue from the TFA
@@AnimeLuffyFan Yeah I realized that after TLJ. I was just giving her the benefit of the doubt.
chetn9ne Yeah I feel the same thing
I really enjoyed the Force Awakens, I wasn't crazy about the last Jedi, I really enjoyed The Rise of Skywalker. My take away is J.J. Abrams should have done all 3 movies.
Hell no
I don't really care if JJ Abrams disrespected Rian Johnson, since Johnson disrespected everyone, including the Abrams, the fans, and Lucas.
Fitting that a man whose surname is slang for dick was a dick.
The way RIAN's name is spelled even pisses me off. Lol.
Tom Ffrench RJ disrespected what JJ did first! All these people are concerned that JJ is disrespecting RJ when he's the one who started it!
Well, according to most comment sections, I guess I'm *almost* the only one who *actually* enjoyed it...and I hated, loathed, and utterly despised The Last Jedi. Rise of Skywalker wasn't the story that I, personally, would have told (with all of the source material that's available)----but...I legitimately enjoyed it. I'm quite surprised. It actually made The Last Jedi *semi-watchable* ----and THAT is an accomplishment (considering it used to be unwatchable garbage).
I'm actually astounded by all of the chronic-hate that this movie is getting. But, having said that----I *completely* understand. The Last Jedi broke the fandom, and it *never* should have happened. Darth Kennedy should be stricken down and made to disappear.
This trilogy is deeply-flawed, but I enjoyed ROSW just as much as TFA. I'm judging it for what it *is* ----- *not* for what I wish it was or what it may/should have been.
I was thoroughly entertained. What can I say? I'm genuinely surprised by this. I've been reading the leaks for *months* and I had already decided to hate this movie. But, it's one thing to read *one person's description* of a film's events than it is to watch it be executed in real-time. I hated The Last Jedi to such a degree, that I actually feel guilty for liking TROS. But, it is what it is. I'm not going to lie to myself just to go with the flow of everyone else.
I think that we modern people are so analytical, that if everything doesn't reflect the understanding of *the real world* -----we wholeheartedly reject it...and in the process, we lose the ability to be entertained (thus becoming a nihilistically-based bottomless pit of morbid-criticism that refuses to allow our minds to wander into the possibilities of the impossible). When we think we know everything, we lose our sense of awe and wonder, thus preventing the enjoyment contained in the suspension of disbelief. This says more about *us* than it does about the intellectual properties that we over-analyze, pick apart and cannibalize.
People are so blinded by hatred (from the perpetuation of TLJ) that they lack the self awareness to realize that they're seeing TROS through the lens of their blind-rage-bias. But----- *that* is Disney's fault. I'll never project the blame on the audience. This entire trilogy is so nuanced and problematic. What a mess. Having liked TROS it's surreal seeing myself write such things. But, it is what it is. I refuse to engage in denial through the conduit of my own, personal bias.
Nobody:
Cody: They nailed her!
😂
I 1000% disagree. I respect that you uploaded your thoughts for the internet to see.
My biggest issue (and there’s many) is that the return and defeat of palpatine completely retcons and undermines the entirety of Luke and Anakins journey to ending the sith. In this new universe it’s not Luke and Anakins victory, it’s Reys. I mean, you can’t be any more disrespectful than that. My anger for disney and all the people who worked on this shit is immense...
Edit: spelling errors.
They brought balance to the force it just wasn’t forever. You could hear Anakin talking to Rey to bring balance in the force as he once did
Personally I'm just sticking with the original trilogy with the exception of Rogue One and Solo at times. Mainly because they're in the timeline of the original trilogy / Galactic Empire. Other than that I personally don't like the prequel trilogy or the sequel Trilogy. There's some good individual characters, but as far as movies, just an original trilogy fan. Personal preference. Regardless I still love Star Wars always.
@Dr. Me Right. I don't like the sequels or the prequels but I respect that they exist but I just choose not to watch them again or have them in my collection. Now if they made a trilogy which is rumored of the Knights of the Old Republic, you damn right I'm going to check it out and that would rejuvenate the series big time.
There's only 3 star wars films. Everything else is just unnecessarily tacked on
Going into Christmas break done with my exams playing Resident Evil 2 and watching the homie Cody Leach. Hell yeah baby!
Episodes 1-6 are canon. Episodes 7-9 are pure heresy.
@Tom Ffrench Because they were made by George Lucas, and actually make sense as movies. 7-9 don't even make sense... Especially 8 & 9.
I think you mean treason haha
@Tom Ffrench Oh hell no. The prequels are levels above the sequels... Especially episode 3. George Lucas wrote them all, and they at least don't shit all over the original trilogy. Bringing Palpatine back for Ep9 shits all over Anakin's legacy.
Funny that you speak of heresy but just like thousands of others you think canon which is a noun is an adjective when canonical is the real adjective. So much for investment that only parroting the wrongly used words of others are used. Good job.
As bad as 1-3 were 7-9 made them look like Oscar winning artistic masterpieces in comparison. There are some good parts to the prequels and some "so bad it's good" meme worthy stuff in them too. 1-6 are a full story. 7-9 are more like standalone films passed off as a continuation of 1-6's story with Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, R2, 3PO, Lando and Palpatine only being there to make you think it's continuing on from the original trilogy.
You took all my thoughts and perfectly laid them out there in a logical way. Well done!

I just saw The Rise of Skywalker & i Really ❤ it.
Good and fair review! I did, however, want to point out that in The Last Jedi when Rey and Kylo’s minds were bridged and they would speak to each other without actually being together physically..Kylo Ren ended up getting some water on him from Ach To where Rey was training. He wiped it off and looked at it on his hand. So they did kind of hint at the fact that matter can be transferred from one person’s location to the other person’s via this Force bridge. So in this movie the object transfer worked for me, personally, because it finally payed that moment in TLJ off.
I’m so glad someone finally mentioned how Palpatine was introduced was negative. Because of how sudden, it makes the past two movies look weird and it makes you confused in a really weird way
Haven't seen it yet, but I just want to say how grateful I am that, in this polarized community, your "positive / mixed / negative" approach to the review gives it some much-needed nuance.
The Rise Of Skywalker is sci-fi/fantasy, space schlock and I had fun with it. They made the best out of a bad situation. It was the first of the modern Star Wars movies to have the old adventure serial tone that Star Wars was initially intended to have and I am fine with that. The original trilogy was accidental perfection, I would never expect any additional storytelling to live up to that standard. I may be the minority opinion (as usual) and I am fine with that as well. Would we ever expect another film to live up to The Empire Strikes Back? That is a near impossible feat. It all comes down to taste and I love sci-fi/fantasy, space adventure schlock.
This is the realest shit a Star Wars fan has ever said. Never been able to put it in words myself thank you so much. These movies get way too much hate and they are just as bad in as many ways as the prequel which just automatically get a pass!
When you think about it Cody, Luke catching the lightsaber was not really a retcon. Luke evolved to that character by the end of The Last Jedi. He even explains to Rey that he was full of fear at the start of the film, but she pulled him out of it...
I disagree, because the way the scene itself is executed feels fundamentally off. Much of it has to do with Luke's line about how a Jedi's weapon deserves more respect than to just be tossed into burning wreckage. That clearly wasn't an opinion he had about lightsabers in the beginning of The Last Jedi, which is even weirder considering another lightsaber-related retcon is seen in the movie which is that Luke had a lightsaber on Ach-To (Leia's). The whole point of Luke going into exile was that he wanted to die in isolation, far removed from any galactic conflict, believing the Jedi Order did more harm than good. He, along with the final traces of the religion (the sacred texts), would be gone. In The Last Jedi, he didn't have a lightsaber with him (what happened to his green sword isn't known) because he had no intention of fighting ever again. But, for some reason, he kept Leia's lightsaber hidden away in his hut. Luke being in possession of any lightsaber while on Ach-To contradicts and undermines the nature of his disappearance.
I LOVED it! I am not yet sure what you said and its ok either way.
I loved this movie, I can see why a lot of people won’t like it but I loved it, 4.75/5
Who else is waiting on Cody's review of Cats?
Never!!!!!
Fuck that shit . I don’t give a shit about Cats.
@@CodyLeachYT Never? That's you being catsphobic! 😸
Watch out for any member of the Fandom Menace because they keep talking about how Star Wars is destroyed, Rian Johnson is the anti-christ that destroyed Star Wars, and calling J.J. to Jar Jar Abrams. I understand some of the criticism of the sequel series but good lord why is everyone in the Fandom Menace sometimes have to be toxic about a fictional movie, I get that the sequel series haven't lived up to the hype but don't get your panties in a bunch if someone likes it. Just saying because it's tiresome of seeing everyone fighting over opinions about the series. Great review as always Cody.
One of the force abilities was used in Mandelorian episode 7. The disney+ show...just so you know.
@Go Time Now it's still connected ...just saying.
It's so lazy they did that
12:57 That's because bringing back Palpatine was just a nostalgia bait stunt Cody. Abrams lied that they'd always planned to bring him back but it's clear that it was a last minute thing to try and get people who didn't like 7 and 8 to come back. It's clear that Kylo was intended to be the sequel trilogy's main villain but after people's reaction to them wasting Snoke as a character then killing him off in Last Jedi they were probably like " Bring Palpatine back then people might go and see 9."
This is the way
Oh dear cant wait for this...
And I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm pleasantly surprised that alot of the fanbase is embracing it after the hate the leaks were getting online.
I kinda enjoyed it. I feel like I didn't really get any connection to Rey. Not like with Obi-Wan or Anakin, etc. I felt more connected with Kylo. I however did enjoy the ending when
*spoiler*
Mace, Obi-Wan, Yoda and everybody else was giving her strength. I loved it. I was hoping that would happen but mostly hoping it would actually show them giving her strength lol. Oh and I balled when Leia died because that was it. 😭 oh and how the items were transferred was so nightmare on elm street lol.
A brilliant T-shirt Cody 👍.
I enjoyed it very much. It didn't blow me away, but it at least felt like a Star Wars movie, which the last one didn't feel like at all.
You should review slither or dead alive (aka braindead)
I'm so pissed I wanna watch this so bad but I can't do to the fact that i woke up sick as a dog today. so i had to miss star wars today but this is gonna be the very first thing I watch after I feel better and get to make it to the theater.
I have no intention of seeing this movie, but oddly love hearing all about it. Anyway, the transfer ability you spoke of *was* established, kind of, in TLJ, when they were communicating in one of their Force Skypes, one of them was in a place it was raining, the other was not, after they talk you see water drops on the one that was not in the rain. Ta Da! there is your prior introduction to this ability. Does that make it all better for you though??
I got the feeling that the stuff that Rey and Ben/Kylo do that we've never seen other force users do before this is special and exclusive to them. Which honestly is good and bad. It eventually brought the balance to the force that everyone believed that Anakin would.
Love your channel. Just marathon watched all your horror reviews over the past week.
I really enjoyed this movie! I am a huge star wars fan so it was difficult to not have to high expectations for this one. But I'm so glad I can say I left the theater with a smile on my face. I aggre that the emperor palpatine return should have been more like a OMG he's back moment. Some plot points do feel a bit rushed at times too, but it was still a good movie for me and end to this sequel trilogy in my opinion. It had some jaw dropping and emotional moments! Especially in the final act! I can't wait to see it again! Great review once again Cody🤘
Revenge of the Sith definitely had alot more hype back in 2005.
A lot more hate*. No one liked that film back then.
Rise of Skywalker, Endgame, and Joker, are my 3 favorites of the year. Awesome films, just great all around. Great review Cody as always. 🤘rock on dude, stay metal⛧!!!
They use one if those force abilities in Epi 7 of the mandelorian show. Just so you know...
You think theyll make a trilogy based on knights of the old republic era? Events leading up to episode 1?
News on the blue ray movie coming out for Doctor Sleep. You will get the 3 hour directors cut to watch. I can't wait. Hope their is more footage on Rose the Hat. Great film. Great character. 👍 Shine on!!!!
We’re did u get the Jason shirt at that’s bad ass
Hey Cody! I’m not really a big Star Wars fan so don’t really care about this specific review, lol. But I’m a big fan of yours and just wanna wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄🥂🎊 Definitely looking forward to your movie reviews for 2020!! Hopefully we get some great Horror movies next year... 🎃
Love your shirt man 🖤
For me the three trilogies happen in different and parallel universes. I like to leave to my imagination where does Alec Guiness Obi Wan comes from and what happened after ROTJ.
Best spoiler free review of I’ve seen. Well done sir.
I'm also a moderate Star Wars fan Cody. I don't hate it, but not obsessed either, I think its fine. I'm not in a hurry to see this in theaters, but I'll most likely buy it on BR just to complete the series.
commenting before the video is even going..i thought it was really good..Very well done.
Great review Cody. Back in top form bud👍
They basically destroyed the whole saga. Anakin´s story is now pretty much useless. Only 6 ST movies for me. Great Review brother !
Why do you feel that way?
I agree man. I wanted to like these new movies but I just can't
icebergthegamer well, Anakin was the chosen one from the beginning right? He was supposed to bring balance to the galaxy, right? By doing that, killing palpatine. The whole saga is about Anakin/Luke because luke turned his father back to the light side. Now that palpa is «alive» that whole sacrifice is wasted 🤷♂️ Rey wasn’t mentioned one time during the first 6 movies.
bruh the prequels are terrible the only redeeming quality they all have are Ewan Ncgregor and the final fight in the third acts. The sequels aren't the OT but theyre miles ahead of the prequels.
@@royalwarlord2342 that's you're opinion, the sequel first movie was a bad new hope remake and it's second movie was a SJW agenda movie and destroyed Luke character.
Emperor: "Good good. Let the hate flow through you."
New sub to this channel but I just wanna say I think you so a really good job. You take your time and dint get over emotional and give some actual context to your viewpoints
The best thing they did with this movie was the interplay between Po and fin, jannas character cause she was a great new add, and baba frick cause that thing was fucking hilarious
Honestly, I liked it for the most part.. But it is obvious that Rian screwed things up for JJ big time by killing Snoke. Hence he had to bring back Palpatine to "course correct" his vision for the end of the saga.. I am fine with The Emperor being the main villain for the saga, but not as a 2nd choice because of The Last Jedi having so many "Fuck you JJ" moments...
Darth Sidious' development was so rushed, but like you, I loved the presence he demanded in every shot! What are your thoughts about future star wars films? Where do you think they're gonna go from here? Love the channel! ✌
After Rey reveals her name to the old woman on Tatooine. The film should have ended with Rey’s eyes subtly turning to Sith eyes as she smiles and we hear Palpatine’s evil laugh in the background as the camera pans up implying that He successfully possessed Rey. Much like Norman Bates ending in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho 1960.
Even though Rey killed him Palpatine basically won in death anyway since a Palpatine has now stolen the Skywalker surname despite only ever knowing 3 of them, barely known them, only liked and wanted to redeem one of them so she could bang him, became more powerful than the galaxy's greatest Jedi despite not training with him very long and I think Rey only had about 1 scene with Leia in the whole sequel trilogy if that. I bet the dead Anakin would be horrified to learn that him saving his son by killing his old master and his sacrifice and redemption meant nothing since Palpatine came back anyway and now his granddaughter has stolen Anakin's family name despite not being blood related to them and not carrying on their legacy in any way.
@@Xehanort10 Palpatine did not win because his only goal was living to rule. Like always.
Palpatine in Star Wars Legends, he came back due to cloning, in the original trilogy he was practicing with cloning because he new that he was going to die eventually. So he cheated death. Me personally they should have gone in that direction.
@Go Time Now ya that's another thing
@Go Time Now ya I know and that's sad because the comics are awesome
That basically is the direction they went, first thing they said when the resistance learned about Palpatine was Sith Cloning as a known part of Sith lore.
Is it just me or does he sorta look like a deadite. Evil Dead Star Wars connection CONFIRMED
I'm kind of jelous of you in a way in that you did find some things to enjoy even if you were mixed. I was beyond that though, I straight up didn't really enjoy it at all. I think that it's competently made enough, I think the visuals are good and I think there's kind of some fun here. But mainly... Nah mate, if you ask me they kind of screwed up for the potential they built. See, I'm a fan of The Last Jedi and I LOVE The Force Awakens, I was pumped for this; But bad decision after bad decision just continously beat me to a pulp to be honest haha. Extremely dissapointing for me.
But great video man, there's always something really watchable about you. Like even when your videos are fairly long it doesn't feel like a hassle like it might on other channels if that makes sense. Well presented mate.
"take both lightsabers, the script will require you have two in about twenty pages...."
As a huge horror fan as well, I LOVED the Palpatine scenes
I think your review was spot on. A mixed bag but overall satisfying, and I agree that this film is more enjoyable than TLJ but that TLJ is a better made film. I’ve heard some people say that the Force power of transferring objects was foreshadowed in TLJ when Kylo had ocean water on him after Force-Skyping with Rey. Not sure if that’s legitimate foreshadowing but I did enjoy that power in Rise of Skywalker nonetheless. Did you make spoiler reviews for this film and TLJ? I was looking but couldn’t find them. Anyway, gonna check out your Star Wars ranking ASAP!
You hit on my main problem with this trilogy. No cohesive storytelling from movie to movie. They should have written a script and given it to one director for all 3 movies.
The individual movies are good by themselves.
I enjoyed all 3 of them but the trilogy just didn't work as a trilogy
I loved it alot , I hated two plot holes in the movie but you know JJ was kinda fucked with Rian killing off snoke but I liked it anyway and I agree with you on the horror aspect of palpatine
Rian Johnson is the main reason why this movie is a mixed bag.... Jj Abrahams had to start from scratch with the story....
My thought on Luke saying “a Jedi would have more respect for his weapon.” Was a ha ha joke to himself as well as what he was saying to Rai. With the look on his face as he said it it was obvious and the audience here was laughing when he said it. I am a huge Star Wars fan and have read all the books. They did change things and I was ok with that. I think what JJ Abraham’s did was awesome. I will agree with you on Fin as a side note. I was disappointed in what they did with him. Over all I was very pleased with the whole film. P.S Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
One correction in regards to THAT force power. They showed in TLJ that Kylo and Ray could interact with each other's inviornment. Additionally, there's something they say specific to this film that also explains it.
I think with Carrie fisher they could have killed her off screen, like at the beginning of the movie they are desperate, it’s been a year since the tlj, and they could have said she fell during some great escape or done a small flash back to it. It would have set up a feeling of this is for her, we have to finish this fight in her memory.
I understand where your coming from but for me I feel doing that to Leia would be very insulting to Carrie Fisher and the character
I honestly felt like what they did in the film was tbh, they didn’t do the cgi the best and all the interactions with her b roll was extremely awkward and honestly she didn’t do anything for the plot of the story that couldn’t have been done with a cgi force ghost.
Yea but how could they use the Jedi transfer before if Ben Solo and Rey weren't on the same side. They are the only 2 Jedis left.
Leia said hes been pulling the strings since the very beginning... Good callback
Glad you liked it
I don't get the love for the trio being back together in Rise when they were never together in Force Awakens. People seem to be remembering the movies as what they want them to be instead of what they are.
It's the first time all three are together but finn and Poe had plenty of time with each other and Rey and Finn were together most of TFA.
@@CodyLeachYT They fly now? 😆
@@pandamera1 That's just funny to me when they said that. 😆
@Mr Hootiedean. In the original trilogy Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, C-3PO and R2-D2 were nearly always together as a group as friends. They had a bond as friends and in Luke, Leia and later Han's case family. Rey, Finn and Poe were a trio who barely knew each other , hardly shared scenes with one another and had no bonds either friendly or familial.
JJ had to include his second movie in this one as well as a third movie. Critics be damned! I loved it!
I really enjoyed the film, but it does have issues in it which are kind of present throughout the trilogy. I've made an analogy that kind of sums up this trilogy, which I call "The Mash Potato Dinner Party" and it goes like this:
JJ Abrams has a load of people round and gives them all extremely small portions of some mashed potato that he's made. Half of the people there say things like "This is amazing, can I have some more of this?" and "What's your secret?" He replies with a smile "There'll be more of this coming as the evening progresses and I'll tell you all about my secret method later" Whereas others are saying "This is no different to any mash I've ever tasted before, in fact, it's exactly the same as the mash I always have. This is so unoriginal" He then realises they are low on drinks, so goes out to purchase some more and asks his housemate, Rian Johnson, to watch over the guests.
Rian Johnson then enters the room and scrapes JJ's mash into the bin, and when there isn't enough room for it all, he throws the rest out of the window, into the garden. He then presents the guests with bowls of porridge that have orange juice, chocolate and lard all mixed in it. Some of the guests are saying "Wow, this is so different and is like nothing I've ever tried before, I loved it" and "This is great because we were only expecting mash and this has really surprised me" Or, 'subverted my expectations', you might say 😉 Others are saying "What about JJ's mash? and what's his secret?" Rian responds "We aren't having mash anymore and there's no secret, it was just store bought" People then start complaining, saying the food is disgusting and Rian responds with things like "You just don't know good food" and "You're just ungrateful, if you don't like it then get out of my house" He then receives a phone call and leaves the room, when JJ returns.
He tells everyone that someone phoned him telling him what Rian had done, so he went around asking everyone's families how they liked their mash and he has now made 10 different types and has also bought some ready made stuff. Instead of asking each guest how they like it, he's just piling bits of every mash on everyone's plates. Whilst doing this, he also takes the porridge Rian made off everyone's plates, even off the plates of the guests who liked it! He also scrapes the potato Rian threw away out of the bin and out of the garden, dumping them on people's plates too. He then adds double the amount of milk and butter to his own mash, which he also dollops on their plates as well. He doesn't even give people time to finish the mash already on their plates, before shoving even more on them. He also spends the remainder of the evening telling people what the method for his mash was, before giving them all a laminated piece of paper each with it written on to take home. Some of them leave only liking JJ's mash, some only liked Rian's porridge, some got annoyed with the inconsistency of the evening and others enjoyed the whole thing, but it was ruined by others complaining, meaning no one walked away completely satisfied.
Here's a glaring problem with the ending: it undermines one of the film's own messages. At least twice, Rey is told "Don't be afraid of who you are," "Don't be ashamed of who you are," but at the end when she tells that lady she is "Rey Skywalker," isn't that EXACTLY that, being ashamed of who she is, a Palpatine? In addition to it being a lie? I wouldn't have put Palpatine in this movie in the first place, but to me it would have been more meaningful if Rey hesitated with her last name like she did, but then say "Rey Palpatine." And the lady would gasp, and say, "Like the evil emperor?" And then Rey can respond with something like, "Or like my parents...who loved me so much they risked their own lives to protect me from him. Or me, a Jedi. One man doesn't get to decide my family's legacy." To me, that would have been much more powerful than just "I'm a Skywalker because I don't want to be a Palpatine and I said so."
I am curious now maybe this weekend
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Palpatine's return makes sense. The dude got blown up in an electric shaft for Pete's sake!. To me it seems JJ tries to piggy bag off of the stopping death powers introduced in Revenge of the sith but even that doesn't cuz again he was blown up in an electrical conductor!
Well he did die. Sidious himself said it. He revived himself.
I really enjoyed this one. Far better than the Last Jedi which I loved on first watch in theaters but grew to dislike over a few rewatches unfortunately. I don’t think it deserves ALL the hate it gets, but the constant subversions became a joke and the film also didn’t feel like Star Wars to me.
Please reread your comment.
Maxspeed7 I did. I don’t see a problem. My opinion still stands. The Rise of Skywalker is good and I enjoyed it much more than the Last Jedi which I don’t think deserves as much as hate as it gets.
2:49 I completely agree. I can't believe how numb I was before, during, and after the film :(
Cody I'm entering the comment section zone without having watched the movie. I Have tickets for tomorrow, great review as always
You're the first person I've seen on youtube, that actually enjoyed the movie
Ranking of the whole series?
9:46 itchy down there?
I still think they should have done it up to 10 star wars X sounds pretty badass and cody broke it down perfect brick by brick much respect🤙🏼🤘🏼
This Star Wars movie also didn't have a geat opening sequence in my opinion!
Personally, I wanted to see a "Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers" kinda opening with Palpatine being thrown in the abyss and surviving.
And after that some stuff about him and Snoke.
I'd have liked it if Snoke was Palpatine's former master Darth Plagueis and them deciding to form a partnership of some kind and create the First Order.
The things I really hate about the movie is the simplistic explanations for some of the stuff I had huge questions about after seeing The Last Jedi and/or no explanation at all, like:
-Who was Supreme Leader Snoke?
-The Knights Of Ren, who were they and what's their relevance in the story? (they are pretty much useless in this final movie)
-How did Palpatine survive his fall?
-And that whole "Wayfinder"/"Sith Dagger" Harry Potter "horcruxes" kinda stuff...bleh :(
Etc.
I understand that some people feel differently, including Cody, and that's fine, but to me, it's baffling how some people think the sequels were better than the prequels. Much respect, but I just don't get it.
The movie was enjoyable enough for me, but one of the most frustrating things is that apart from Star Wars: Visions, the Star Wars franchise just seems stuck in the era of everything has to occur between Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.
The only exception apart from Visions is Star Wars: The High Republic
i personally loved the stories ending, and i agree with most of your dislikes,BUT i just used my own imagination, and just rolled with it,my only two problems are i wish we could have seen what LUCAS could have done or maybe what he had an idea for,and where did Palpatine come up with all those Planet Destroyers, they just appeared,my guess they had been building up,but other wise this ended just like it should have, kinda opposite of episode 1!
I do not think I am going to see it because I am not a big Star wars fan
It sounds like an old video game type of storytelling that Jeremy Jahns was talking about.
It felt more like a middle chapter than a ending. I thought it was okay force awakens still is better to me.
I felt TLJ felt more like an ending chapter than a middle chapter so thats funny
You really don’t think TFA is just a remake of ANH? A young person is found on a desert planet and meets an older mentor who killed by a bad guy while on a mission to destroy a world killing machine?
We do know Han nailed her, that's how Ben was born. 😂😂😂 Couldn't resist, and you shouldn't have said anything. After you said not to, my mind went in that direction.
It wasn’t terrible but wasn’t good
How can u say they took pieces of E4 story to E7. They tooo the whole f movie
What I love it that start wars was made at least in my opinion, for 3 generations. There’s the original 3. Then the prequels which was were the ones I grew up watching n then these 3. For the next generation of Star Wars fans. Kinda cool in my opinion.
AUTOGENERATED SUBTITLES: “Star Wars Episode Nine The Rise of Skywalk tells a story of rape...”
ME: “Um... what?”
I liked it for the most part. I didn't necessarily find the decisions they made in this one as maddening as some ppl but I can see where some could have problems with it. I do feel bad for the actress that played Rose they all but wipe her out of the film completely. She was subject to a lot of harassment online and it sucks that ppl just can't dislike things without being wildly irrational about it. I do agree with you about Fin, for a main character they give the least as far as a story arch.
Good job
Finn has a little bit of an arc in TROS but I can’t say here.
Great video.
Is that a Garden Tool Massacre shirt?
Will there be a spoiler-filled review?
Do the spoiler review with sean chandler
So Anakin is not the chosen one... He was born in the force but did not balance it...
Anakin in the movie said he did balance it.
