"Check Engine Light" should be on when Key On/Engine Off - It is a bulb check so you know it is working--- Have seen cars from used car lots with the bulb removed so customer didn't know they had an issue which needed attention. Nice vlog on all the little fixes!
The way I understand it, the exhaust back pressure sensor controls the exhaust back pressure valve which is located under turbo on the turbo pedestal. I replace my Garrett factory Ford Turbo pedestal with a Garrett pedestal that doesn't have the EBP valve built in. Probably built for non Ford applications. The fit is perfect. You have to replace the original Turbo Exhaust housing with a exhaust housing that doesn't have the valve built into it or delete the valve from the original housing and block all the holes. Everything is fairly cheap and it's all pretty straight forward.
You need to put a boost fooler on it and a wicked wheel in the turbo.. that's what I run... You also need to put a 6.0 trans cooler in it.. the 7.3 trans cooler is a 1/4 of the size of the 6.0... it's a easy job...7.3 are the best motors you can have just need to know the does and don't... Don't ever do the PVC delete you will burn the turbo up....
Do you happen to know my my EBP doesn’t change? on my 02 f350 7.3, my edge monitor shows it stuck at 29. Has a new sensor and tube. Have a stage 2 turbo and did the EBPV pedestal delete and placed a SPOOLOGIC Exhaust Back Pressure Valve Terminator on the pigtail.
Ford used those valves to help bypass the coolant before the thermostat was open. Without it, you'll go through heater cores often. Huge issue for the 92-97 trucks
Only problem with a programmer on a diesel and towing, is the trans doesn't pump very fast with low rpm diesel spins. Keeping the programmer turned down with that upgraded trans cooler towing will help help make the trans live. 7.3 will pull the load in OD it just builds alot of heat. Love the new truck btw
I pull a 14k lbs. 5th wheel camper. My trans runs cooler in OD . I have a BTS transmission with a 6.0 cooler. Has had a few HP mods just short of bigger inj. Will probably do that some day when needed . But for now it has enough HP.
I have a 2001 F250 with a 7.3, love that thing. What tuner do you use and where did you get it? Also, there is UA-camr named Fix-it-Nick that has done every upgrade imaginable on his 2000 F350 7.3, might be worth a look to you.
Mine was a bear, the coupler was so froze up, someone used JB Weld on it to keep it from leaking so I had to change the Evaporator. Getting it back together was a real pain in the butt too. I noted that when you do it you have to do the bottom corner 1st, after that easy peazy. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
Only buy the oem sensors I found this out the hard way.you may as well change out the crank sensor or buy a new one and put it in the glove box. Also watch the oil level if it is using oil it will shut down and won't start until you get the oil level corrected.the oil rings on the injectors sometimes erode and let oil bypass."this happened to me" I found out to only use the new oem injectors unless you like working on these things.
Great trucks, just beware of the weak factory valve springs. If your going to play around at higher rpms it will save you a fortune to just upgrade them ahead of time. That's the only problem I've had and I abuse the hell out of it.
John are u going to 710 dragway tomorrow to get in the 28s shootout they giving away $3000 and they got someone from South Carolina motorplex to prep the track
@@TurboJohnRacing I'll post a video soon on it and mention it in one of your videos so you can check it out I already put a Godzilla 6 position chip in it lol
Please slow your camera work way down and back away slowly so we can see where you are in the engine better. Maybe even get a pointer and touch the parts physically. Great job otherwise. Subbed and liked!
NEED EGT GUAGE. TS TUNES RUN HOT .. HYDRA TUNING IS MUCH BETTER, COOLER BETTER MPG. IF YOUR TRANS HAS NO INTERNAL MODS..DP TUNER IS EVEN BETTER, ALMOST PERFECT CAN GET EPV VALVE AS EXUAST BRAKE. DP FOR TUNING IS GREAT. COST YOU ABOUT 500 BUCKS. I WENT THRU ALL THIS. BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY. IF YOU TOW MOSTLY FLAT TS OK.KEEP ON 75 FOR BEST MILAGE.
TURBO JOHN #SBFNASTY #LSNASTY HEY JOHN THANK YOU FOR THE SHIRT~!!! LUCKY- ( -1299-HP-) THANKS BROTHER ....................guys these shirts on the site are amazing~! grab them #WINNER

the cover is for the high pressure pump gear bolt access.

I had a 95 chevy that the evaporator core was clogged up with dog hair and dirt. Cleaning it made a huge difference!
Thanks for this video. Where did you get the water control valve.
Getting her all fixed up. She’s gonna be a good one.
I purchase same off Amazon, after market EBP sensor went bad under two month. OEM EBP sensor installed still 👍 8 months later.
It's awesome that you keep improving ! Gotta go get em bro !
I've got the launch CRP123x and it works great for my 02 f350. And it's not super expensive like forscan or autoenginuty. Also, awesome video☺️👍

Please let me know or anyone else why I have this issue.
hey i have had some great results with JB weld.. sure, you should replace that but hey, it could have been working like that for years?

What kind of silicone did you use when you reinstalled the back plate?
Cleaning the evap coil in my 2001 made a huge difference. It wasn't terrible to pull but it wasn't great either.
