@@kirgeez-gaming switch is the best version through Sega Ages. Yes it lacks the FMV opening since this is a genesis rom but M2 pretty much incorporate everything from the Saturn version (you can even switch the VS to the original MD and either use or not use a better blast processing setting to eliminate the slow down) and fixed that Saturn only problem which was the SFX and STYX is playable once you clear the game
I was concerned that Switch version would have worse input lag than the other versions like many Switch ports do, but it seems like at 3 it probably will be the same (Saturn version wasn't tested but all the Saturn shmups that were tested were 3 indicating that might be the minimum possible for the setup): docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IbAWZ2g10kp7m8OwbVAbrTJRoAmeZoro-wRjg0s1geM/edit#gid=0 Bless M2.

saturn or genesis what's the best version?
Genesis has better sound. Saturn has better replayabilty with the extra ship and no slowdown.

Personally I still like the Genesis version better as it sounds correct.
