In GT4, the Lotus Elan S1 '62 is a hidden gem of a car. While its raw numbers don't sound particularly impressive at 210HP and 581KG fully tuned, the car possesses borderline stupid amounts of mechanical grip. On top of cornering speeds approaching levels usually seen on full blown race cars, the car is also extremely easy and forgiving to drive. Lastly, due to its light weight and low power, its tire and fuel economy is second to none. With its power maximised, this car becomes truly ridiculous. During testing, it managed to win both the NA and Turbo professional event races, the Pan European championship versus 500HP+ supercars, the Tuning car gran prix, the hard tarmac rallies versus group B cars and even the road car endurance races like the El capitan 200 miles and the laguna seca endurance event, the former of which running stock power! I'm pretty sure that with nitrous, this car can contend with JGTC machines, albeit briefly. Update: After more testing with the maximally upgraded Elan, it managed to outright beat JGTC machines by 5 seconds or more in full 7-12 lap races on tight tracks like Laguna seca, Hong Kong and Suzuka east, while also being competitive with LMP's on Tsukuba for a lap or two with nitrous. This car is stupidly broken.
A relatively broken car in GT4, imo, is the HPA Golf. Costs less than 32k, can be upgraded and starts with a baseline bizarre level of performance, in special for the early game
THIS. I bought that car for pretty much every playthrough in the game, and I am suprised that few even know it exists in the game, let alone that it is a damn good car in early stages of the game
Love the use of the Ace Combat 7 soundtrack in the background! I've always thought that AC7's soundtracks fit extremely well with GT's aesthetics and I think you've proved my hypothesis.
the broken car for me is the ac cobra, i originally bought it out of fear another one would appear in the euro classic cup, but then realized it can compete in events you wouldnt think it could enter, like the world compact car cup, and the supercar festival (i actually won the supercar festival using the car with a bit of upgrading, and it was very competitive, even against the cien).
This car and the Amuse S2000 were demons in Gran Turismo 5 Open Lobbies too, at tracks with high speed corners like Spa or Nürburgring none of the other cars could come close
I've heard so many people say the RX7 has trash handling in GT4... which is exactly why I used it for as many races as possible. When fully upgraded and tuned properly it can hit 264mph on Test course and even faster with Nitrous. Definitely one of my favorite cars to use in "Like The Wind".
I ran one of these in GT6 to see how many races I could enter in Career Mode: I won 73 separate races. Then, I tuned it to top out around 285MPH on Route X and stomped the LeMans cars in Like the Wind. Awesome machine.
The Opera S2000 has singlehandedly caused me the most headache out of any car in the Tuner Car Series. It wasn't until I used the RX-8 LM Concept that I was able to beat it.
Best broken car in Gran Turismo PSP is the Nissan OPTION Stream Z '04, it killed everything in tsukuba and you could grind credits for days with that beast
I had two broken cars that really stuck with me, both in GT2. The Dodge Copperhead (Concept Car) LM Race Car from the MR cup at Red Rock Valley, and the Skyline R31 Silhouette formula from one of the five race series there. Both are easy to grind, super fast and worth a ton of money, plus fun to drive. Very easy to break progression once you pick either up
@@YellowbirdYT Very much so! Probably one of the most usable priza cars in the game with a decent setup stock. You can squeeze a lot more out of it if you tune the suspension (shameless TeaKanji plug) but it's really not necessary in such an easy game lol
The tigra ice race car in gt2 is the one i remember the most. Also in other racing games the micra on rallysport challenge 2 was mental, you could go flatout on tracka the whole way lmao
It would be very easy to name cars like the Buick Special, AC Cobra, TVR Cerbera Speed 12 and even the power trio (Minolta, R92CP and C9) But for Gran Turismo 4 I'd forward the Cadillac Cien and HPA Stage II R32. You can win the Cien in the very first event from special conditions, so you can go from a used rustbox to an 800 HP supercar in the same category as the Speed 12 and W12 Nardo, which is absurd even without receiving access to the Supercar festival. The R32 is a 500 HP AWD beast for just over 30k. Shoutout to the TVR Griffith 500 as well, which costs 20k and can easily be tuned to keep up with full-on supercars while also being a production car unlike the Cien and HPA R32. For Gran Turismo 5, the Furai and Tommy Kaira ZZII are the obvious answers. ZZII is another top tier supercar, and it goes for 50-60k in the UCD (though you need some luck to get it). And the Furai, well... Tune it to keep up with, and BEAT, prototypes, and you get the thing in the B-spec amateur league... Edit: Can't really talk about GT5 without mentioning that the Red Bull X2010 can legally enter half the game's events, including 8 out of 9 endurances.
Fun fact, you can win the All-American Championship with just the Cien, I have done it without the need of the so overused Camaro, true, the 2J is still op in Seattle Circuit regardless of the power of the Cien, but the Cien can be a Group C or GT1LM wannabe if you know how to focus it in Top Speed, tbh is more like the mythical Porsche 976? Can/Am, Powerful but lacks in cornering, even the cien has exaggerated braking power but eats tires like a Toyota Minolta with turbo in a Nurburgring with soft tires and 2 laps
What about the HPA VW Golf R32? I remember seeing it only cost 30 grand back in like 2005 and I instantly became obsessed. 500+ horsepower AWD and a wing was attachable i believe. Although considered American(I think it's actually Canadian) I'm pretty sure you could use it in the off road rally events? That was a ridiculously broken bargain in gt4
In gran turismo 6, the light car company rocket is pretty overpowered. It’s fuel efficient and great on tires. Its downside is obviously the top speed, it’s underpowered compared to the lemans race cars I was often put up against, but its handling made up for it completely on tracks like lemans and Nurburgring
I remember using this car in one of my first playthroughs of the game back in the days since I loved the Honda S2000 and this was the coolest one available. Then as I progressed on the game I realized how broken it was and it surprised me how underestimated it was by everyone.
I'd say my favorite broken car is the Nissan GT-R concept LM race car. LMP/Group C level handling and speed while being comedically large in comparison. I managed to win GTWC in B-Spec mode using it.
The Tommykaira R in GT2 was my first real tuning job in the game. It could crush any street car in the game. I still wish it had returned. Buick Special in GT4, no tuning needed. The car I first beat Amalfi with. Just wish it was eligible for 1000 Miles. AEM S2000 in GT5 and GT6 was fun to drive and counted as an American car. Jaguar E-type '61 in GT5 and GT6 wasn't necessarily broken, but surprisingly versatile. You could even enter it in British Lightweights if you modified it enough.
My profile pic says it all. Specifically in the Normal Car Cup where it turns the normally brutal event into a Cakewalk. I will never not stop giving GT1 the attention it deserves.
when you realized that taking the pole and win the first race in normal cup makes money faster than going for the entire tournament In a viper on top of that. Should take you like 5 minutes to get 60k. Other cars definitely take longer
When I talk about broken cars, I refer to cars that are undriveable. On GT7, you can ruin Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo by applying large wheels & lowering the ride height - the car becomes truly broken, & you can create awkward road blocks that’ll scatter across the track if you use it as an opponent car from your garage!😂😂😂😂
broken (in the bad way) lemans prototypes wiggling at high speed and flying off the track because I played the European version of the game which has less grip overall lol
The Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept '01 is the pinnacle of crazy good handling. Properly tuned, I could run Autumn Ring in 3 -4 gear almost entirely on throttle control and steering alone. Anyway, great video! What is your interface? I use a Thrustmaster T150 these days, but I have been through 2 Logitech GT Driving Force wheels since GT5. Anyway, liked and subscribed. Cheers!
Nobody will know this, but in Gran Turismo 6, the Autounion Type C Streamliner was the most secretly op car NOBODY knew. I can say this because I played GT6 online for 4 whole years, and I was ALWAYS the only one who even knew you could use that car. Well, it was basically a speed demon. It's undrivable stock, but once you put 25kgs ballast to the front and then worked on the suspension, it became much more stable, and with ASM, it could be usable in any condition. So you had a 600-650PP car that could keep up with most cars from that class, but could go 400, 450+ Kmh on the straights (around 260 to 280 mph). And that with between 500 and 750hp It was my main car, i've driven over 46000 km on it along my GT6 career
For me it’s the dodge ram in gt4, it for some reason handles like a sports car and it’s an easy way to get high a spec point races because of some calculation error (And it can go into the super car festival lol)
So, while the Opera S2000 is good, the Amuse R1 is a tad better. It has higher power and slightly more grip in corners. But for what it is, the Opera S2000 is incredibly good.
Wow, I knew the Opera Performance S2000 was good, but I didn't know it was that good! I be the Amuse S2000 is worth a try too, and I may have to test it at some point.
The broken car for me in Gran Turismo 2 undoubtedly are: Spoon S2000 (All Gold from B License), Dodge Concept Car from Gran Turismo 1 (All Golds in A License), and Kanon Shibuya's Concept Car LM. The Concept Car with Racing Modified applied and on Racing Super Soft tyres could easily dominate ⅔ of the Gran Turismo 2 events and even can easily beaten the "CHEATER CAR" in GRAN TURISMO 2, the 1966 FORD GT40 from Nico Yazawa on Historic Car Cup Race 2.
I never played GT4 for a very long time now. Please correct me if I got it wrong. The Mandela effect is kicking in. The reason behind why this particular model of S2000 OP is the amount of downforce setting it has? This car is faster than an NSX-R with full upgrades in the Nürburgring. ( I use RD tires, rear wing, all driving aids turned off & no nos ) This car is able to do a 7:40's lap time something like that I can't remember well, butt It's as fast as the Mercedes 190E DTM on super hard racing tires but take note it's running only on RD tires. How much more if you're using sport or racing tire. An underrated OG of GT4! I really wanna revisit GT4 again bro! Great vid.
If you want a really OP car without the specs looking OP, get the "Nur" Skyline GT-R. Costs just over 60K and can get up to Stage 4 upgrades, hitting 900+BHP with fresh oil, while being able to obliterate any event it can enter on even default settings. Most importantly, it performs amazingly on both road and off-road, decimating Lan Evos and Subarus in special conditions after adding a spoiler wing to max downforce and even beating LM cars on road circuits. It also has extremely good tyre management despite how heavy it is, allowing you to go multiple laps more than other cars on almost any track, even on Sports tyres, let alone Racing! The only downside of the weight is that you have to account for the balance shift when braking to not overshoot it, but that's easy to get used by simply smooth braking rather than hard smashing the brakes.
I am sure you can achieve 200pts using the Suzuki GSX/R, please give it a try, it is more broken than the Opera Performance S2000. I did most endurances with a Suzuki GSX/R for 200pts each time.
I set an extremely fast time in Tokyo route on PSP after I tuned this car. I'm talking F1 fast damn near floating over each turn. I have the vid saved somewhere.
Me as a kid: _"Why is this car so cheap and turn so good with this much horsepower? And why is it called an Opera? What is a Polyphony? :\"_ And you're a real one for playing some AC4 in the background. I have that song on my playlist in my car 😂😂
Broken car for me will be always the Chaparral 2J on GT4. Unbeliabely cheap for a Dishwasher (It costs sightly less than a GT500) and obliterates most (if not all) the events that its allowed. GTWC is a breeze with the Stage 3 Turbo (you can buy the Stage 4 too, but its literally unnecessary). Just find the right settings that works for you.
One of the later models of Lotus Elise once fully tuned or the Lotus Elise race car (100K), they'd lap GT1 and JGTC cars in endurance events if you can get the setup right but it's a finicky machine when compared to the S2000s in GT4 and GT5.
@@YellowbirdYT It's quite a finicky machine that I've found blisteringly fast. Even the cheaper variants, but particularly the Motor Sport Elise as they're all with the same twitchy handling that's like a caffeinated squirrel with a power to weight ratio which is quite impressive and a weight total that's essentially a feather.
GT6 has a LOT of really fast cars available for super cheap (relatively speaking, considering how quickly you build up credits in the game). 51k for a C7 Corvette i believe WAS the IRL average around the time it came out and while that's super expensive IRL, it becomes a trivial af cheap price in GT6 when you've already made over 400k just from racing and you're only on the National A events the Mitsubishi GTO TwinTurbo in GT1. holy FUCK that thing was broken once you tuned it properly
Man, i dont known if i am the only one that notice that, but has anyone else noticed that the Dodge Ram lm only races against cars that are much weaker than it? like, almost the weakest cars in the game, I remember that even increasing the difficulty to 10, the Dodge Ram was still able to beat its opponents with some ease
How about the NA version of GT1? The dodge concept car with the race mod was the most broken car in the game. Now granted you had to get the setup right as the physics were a bit wonky, but my God that thing was stupid fast
Every skyline and supra after getting out the tuner store 😂😂 Also the escudo pikes peak version, i had that car once at gt3, i've beaten everything with it.
I absolutely fucking hated this car when I did my first (and only) proper playthrough of the game months ago, I was driving the Cien in the tuned car championship and this car kept kicking my ass. It was by far my least favorite event I did in that playthrough
One broken car that really sticks out to me is the Tommykaira ZZII in GT6. 60k Cr. for an RB26-powered AWD sports car is unbelievable value for money
Ah yes, in GT3 it was quite broken too, I have to see if the trend remains with GT4.
Propper that rhe viper gtsr and gto were my gr3 goto cars
It’s a crazy price considering it comes with over 500hp stock while only weighing 1000kg, plus it has insane grip due to the AWD system.

I used to dominate with this s2000. Good times dude I’m glad I ran into this vid
You're welcome!
That car is OP and a pleasure to drive, indeed
The Nissan option stream z was really good, it carried me through 25% to 40% of the game
Bro drives like pastor maldonado
It is indeed an broken car, but it will never touch the mythical Pikes Peak Escudo!!!!
Too bad that Escudo doesnt hit 200mph in real life since its limited to rallying only
14:11 CERTIFIED BANGER!
The tuned gray R32 Golf was OP as well for the money
The most broken car in GT4 is actually a truck, the Ram 1500. Any race that is less than 200 points is actually easy.
I'm aware of the RAM, it's quite known by now!
the tvr speed 12 is also based
I never played GT4 for a very long time now. Please correct me if I got it wrong. The Mandela effect is kicking in. The reason behind why this particular model of S2000 OP is the amount of downforce setting it has? This car is faster than an NSX-R with full upgrades in the Nürburgring. ( I use RD tires, rear wing, all driving aids turned off & no nos )
This car is able to do a 7:40's lap time something like that I can't remember well, butt It's as fast as the Mercedes 190E DTM on super hard racing tires but take note it's running only on RD tires. How much more if you're using sport or racing tire. An underrated OG of GT4!
I really wanna revisit GT4 again bro! Great vid.
It doesn't have more downforce than any other car with a GT Wing upgrade (30/30)
in gt4 I used golf mk4 hpa motorsport, very cheap op car you can get early in game
IN GT2, winning the GT40 LM for me is switching the game to easy mode as it can smoke the competition, even in races with much faster cars.
I know about the GSX/R, and yes, it's broken too.
Dodge RAM with a Supercharger just eats up EVERYTHING while scoring 200pts!
Man I always loved driving the Toyota Minolta race car
back with another GT4 BANGER
Thank you!
I set an extremely fast time in Tokyo route on PSP after I tuned this car. I'm talking F1 fast damn near floating over each turn. I have the vid saved somewhere.
Man I saw this vid again and almost commented on my own comment. Head over to FourLugFilmz for tuning.
Did you link the list of grip modifiers from TeaKanji? I don't see it in the description.
There they are, I knew I forgot something.
I remember watching my dad use Opera S2000 destroying XJR-9 level car at Trial Mountain
3:54 I don't think that's a creative strategy man, that's just straight up playing dirty
Me as a kid: _"Why is this car so cheap and turn so good with this much horsepower? And why is it called an Opera? What is a Polyphony? :\"_
And you're a real one for playing some AC4 in the background. I have that song on my playlist in my car 😂😂
Thanks! Glad you noticed.
Who needs wings when you got ground effect.
One of the later models of Lotus Elise once fully tuned or the Lotus Elise race car (100K), they'd lap GT1 and JGTC cars in endurance events if you can get the setup right but it's a finicky machine when compared to the S2000s in GT4 and GT5.
The Motor Sport Elise? Yes, it can be quite tricky to drive.
@@YellowbirdYT It's quite a finicky machine that I've found blisteringly fast. Even the cheaper variants, but particularly the Motor Sport Elise as they're all with the same twitchy handling that's like a caffeinated squirrel with a power to weight ratio which is quite impressive and a weight total that's essentially a feather.
funny how this got posted today after i spent the entire evening yesterday trying to beat it in the tuning car championship
Happens! A small trick is buying racing slicks, you can use them in Tuning Car GP.
Yea, figured out that a hard tuned Mustang SVT with slicks can do it while still getting some decent A-spec points :)
Awesome video, pretty funny as always
You're welcome!
love the tokyo xtreme racer music, great videos btw ^^
Thank you so much!
Ace combat ost spotted
Radar lock?
GT6 has a LOT of really fast cars available for super cheap (relatively speaking, considering how quickly you build up credits in the game). 51k for a C7 Corvette i believe WAS the IRL average around the time it came out and while that's super expensive IRL, it becomes a trivial af cheap price in GT6 when you've already made over 400k just from racing and you're only on the National A events
the Mitsubishi GTO TwinTurbo in GT1. holy FUCK that thing was broken once you tuned it properly
Saw title before thumbnail and said "Probably an S2000"
There's little choice!
you guys needs to try the fully upgraded SL65 AMG,
it got 999hp and almost beats the CLK GTR
Opera S2000, when all the traction just isn't enough
All the grip please.
@@YellowbirdYT Yellow you grip goblin
The First Truly Broken Car I ever experienced was the Toyota GT One Road Version on GT2.
The FTO in GT 2 I think was the proper broken car what?
Man, i dont known if i am the only one that notice that, but has anyone else noticed that the Dodge Ram lm only races against cars that are much weaker than it? like, almost the weakest cars in the game, I remember that even increasing the difficulty to 10, the Dodge Ram was still able to beat its opponents with some ease
The Honda NSX concept R with light tune competes way above it class, it is a gt3 street car i stopped using because it felt unfair.
have you ever thought about uploading song lists for your videos? There's always one in each one that I'm like: "damn, I wish I knew what that was"
Done, check the description!
@@YellowbirdYT hey thanks so much man, that's very kind of you to do!!!
How about the NA version of GT1? The dodge concept car with the race mod was the most broken car in the game. Now granted you had to get the setup right as the physics were a bit wonky, but my God that thing was stupid fast
You dive bomb the GT-R, the GT-R dive bombs you, and you punish them out of the track?
You are CHaotic Evil.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Every skyline and supra after getting out the tuner store 😂😂
Also the escudo pikes peak version, i had that car once at gt3, i've beaten everything with it.
God Arm approves.
Absolutely.
Bro has it out against the GTR Concept Race Car
Do you have a video of the emulator you use and settings? The game looks fantastic
I used a guide available here, on UA-cam made by Rowdy.
I absolutely fucking hated this car when I did my first (and only) proper playthrough of the game months ago, I was driving the Cien in the tuned car championship and this car kept kicking my ass. It was by far my least favorite event I did in that playthrough
is it possible you could share pcsx2 settings please because my game stutters sometimes and I'm not sure why
The most broken car overall in Gran Turismo history is the Suzuki Escudo ofc
It's hard to challenge, absolutely.
I tuned the heck out of the slk compressor. It killed if you really tuned the transmission
1st gen Honda nsx Forza when you modify it and AWD swap it, oh lawd ❤️
2:25 i know how you feel there dear😅
