I’ve had the two worst experiences with this dealership. It started when I bring my car to them due to an error light being on after a bodyshop did some work on my vehicle. They charged me a customary fee of $189 to assess what the issue was, and returned my car with the light off.
About 20 mins later, the same light came on. I immediately called and the receptionist Cora, scheduled an appointment for me to bring it back the next day. (Quite an inconvenience given I live about 45 mins away in Downtown Detroit)… When I bring my car in the next day, I wait there for 3 hours for them to tell me “the bodyshop forgot to plug in a sensor”. “We’re just gonna charge you $200 for the labor”.
Now mind you, I JUST paid $180 the DAY BEFORE for the SAME ISSUE that they failed to fix initially. We’re it not for my insurance adjuster saying “them charging you again makes no sense”, I would have paid simply to speed things along.
Fast forward 3 weeks, I made another appointment because the headlight and turn signal in the bumper that the bodyshop painted were flickering (terrible body shop as well, I know). When they were able to accommodate me (no Leander car available) I dropped my car off Monday morning and heard nothing from them until Wednesday when the receptionist called and said “We don’t see anything wrong with your vehicles lights”.
Much like the prior time, their tech’s completely missed the issue that was the cause of me bring my car to them.
When I responded with a picture with the lights out, they said they would look at it again. This point, my car has been there THREE DAYS FOR A LIGHT. The next day they called and said that they see the problem and will fix it to the tune of $450. (Insurance was going to foot the bill but they refused to say “the damage could have been the fault of the bodyshop) so I had to come out of pocket. Now I would have replaced the bulb myself and not paid the $220 in labor they charged were it not for me dealing with my insurance company and wanting an accurate assessment.
This situation prompted me to write a negative review on Google, to which an hour later I was contacted by Martin who’s a manager at Acura of Troy who told me that he was erasing all my vehicle records and saying I should never return there again. When I went to respond to him, he hung up. When I called back, he hung up in my face again.
Absolute worst experience ever. Can’t believe this is a dealership’s service department. Couldn’t be more disappointed in how I was treated

Why did you wait for your adjuster to say something? You don’t have a mouth? Also it sounds like you knew what the issue was from the beginning and chose to take it to take it to the dealer when you yourself say you had a body shop work on it. 😂😂😂 basically you could’ve avoided this if you took it to the original guy, but I feel for you.
But also why are you trying to force people to say your light is broken due to another accident, only you would know that, the amount of people that come in to a shop and expect to put someone name on the line for a car you drive and should know like the palm of your hand.
Frankly the way you came on UA-cam comments, sounds like the body shop should have its name in here. But you want to blame the last person who touched it for and accident the body shop did.

Honestly, in the position you're in being the car youtube game, this is prime opportunity to put that dealership on blast. The service manager's attitude was awful. Taking a defensive approach is not the way to handle things, and as a manager, he should know that. This is one of the best cases ever to do your own work or take to a better dealership. I hope you let Honda head office know about this. Also, fitment of the front end of the ITS seems to be hit and miss, the first few batches at least. I looked a few last year and all the PWP either had gap issues or the colour was off. That clown of a service manager shouldn't be saying " oh they all come like that", that's bullshit.

Dealerships need to be very careful with who they employ because that service advisor you were dealing with was so bad he makes all of Acura look bad, I was thinking of one day adding a Type S in the garage to compliment the Type R but after watching this video I don't want to buy an Acura ever, just because I don't ever want to risk having to deal with such a low life individual like him. It was already bad seeing a brand new car leaking oil like that, then the fact that they didn't seem to want to fix it under warranty, then their shoddy workmanship with everything they touched, then to actually curbing your wheel and trying to act like you're the one that did it... They make all of Acura look bad.

Does Acura realize every prospective buyer of the Integra and Type S brand has a high probability of coming across this video, eventually? Most interesting thought is the horrible marketing this video is for the Acura brand in perpetuity. As a previous Acura Integra owner in my youth, I am the target audience for this vehicle. Yet, recently, directly because of the insights learned here, found myself more attracted to and more aware of the Toyota Brand, even Honda and Subaru. Trust is my most important factor in the buying process. Trust for the reliability of the vehicle and its future servicing. Additionally, Toyota (GR), Subaru (WRX) and Civic (Type R) are still produced in Japan, which highlights the trusted contrast in reliability as I know these vehicles were made well (statistically speaking). Most serious buyers will run away from anything gimmicky, Acura certainly appears gimmicky and criminal here. The open dishonesty and lack of concern of this dealership and the corporate brand is reflective of a mindset that only cares about cost savings and cutting corners. Poor quality / workmanship and service = look elsewhere.

I know you did an IS and this car comparison. Now compare dealer service. There is a known issue with front bumper/sagging on the IS500. I pointed it out on my 2023 and the dealer looked me straight in the eyes and said: Yeah, that's an embarrassment for Lexus. We will put the note in your file so you won't get dinged out of warranty for the complaint as it's a known issue but they have not received and TSB for it (ie: no fix in the near future but we don't want to bone your for it). I know there are some online fixes for it, but it seems to be that that fix will put a lot of stress on the section of the bumper where it joins the fender....so I decided to wait for a Lexus fix. Also, they offer a free car wash with every service but warn it is not touchless and ask to verify if I want it or not for this reason....just class.
I have heard rumor that Honda quality is sliding a bit...looks true.

But now I have a 24 VW Golf R. Same 10 k free change crap. I just took it in at 5 k and paid for it myself. Good thing about getting oil change at dealers unfortunately is that’s in the cars service history on car fax. So when you go to sell or trade it helps with the cars resale value IMO.

I was taking my 4Runner to a big family Toyota dealership for oil changes and tire rotations for a while. The first time I went for my appointment, they didn’t charge me “because we took longer than expected”. I was shocked and pleased and went back there for more services. Every time I had an appointment, and the wait times got longer and longer. 3+ hours for an oil change and rotation. I eventually gave up on them and went back to my favorite small independent oil change shop and local Discount Tire. I always received great service from both of them and spent less time waiting even though the places were not near one another.

That front bumper part is actually easy to fix. Theres no clips on the body portion its just 3m tape and 1 clip near the end. You can shimmy a tool and rip the 3m tape off, realign it, replace the 3m and stick it back on the fix it. I misaligned mine when pulling off my front bumper to put my front lip on and realized you dont even have to pull that portion off.

The e-brake thing you gotta keep in mind, at dealerships they tend to have young under paid guys called porters. They're the ones that bring the car from the car wash and helps clean up the facility as well as they drive the car from the service drive to the parking lot before it goes to the technicians. I used to work for a Nissan dealership. But yeah going back to the e-brake thing, these guys are usually inexperienced. Also I'm pretty sure it's electronic ebrake and for me personally I'm always searching trying to find the switch cause they put em in different places where as the hand brake is always in the same spot.

Bro, you need to call corporate. I had this done to my Subaru STI in 2016. They scratched my car they fucked my rims up and they deliberately took a screwdriver and scratched the top of my engine. I didn’t accept the keys from them I called corporate. They gave me a rental and I was able to get a brand new car under the false Claims of service.

Most of these dealerships either document previous damage as they are checked in or have cameras that film cars as they initially roll into the service garage to document damage that was done before the cars enter the garage. I would have asked them for their footage. If they don’t have either, they are idiots and leaving themselves defenseless against lawsuits.

In their defense. Your video of the wheel was from your previous visit to them. You said you had to come back in 4-5 days, that curb you were mentioning would have been on the passenger side if they hit it and I’ve seen a lot of integras with that same exact hood issue. Only mistake I see them making was putting an oil filter on when the repair probably didn’t need it.

Crazy watching the Service Advisor's behavior and knowing the service department makes a majority of the profit for a dealership. Makes you wonder how the dealership is even in business because it looks like it shouldn't be. Nor should they represent a luxury brand.
As far as the wheel damage, if you go by the books, Acura Service Advisors are required to do a walk around to log any noticable damage of any vehicle before servicing a car. Burden of proof is on the dealership after accepting the car for maintenance. However, considering that advisor is just terrible all around, I'm sure he didn't value Acura's training. The situation you manage to capture on video illustrates the incompetence of the dealership so there would be no issue proving the damge came from an employee.
Hopefully your situation will get resolved. Never know though it's probably a sign you need to buy a Supra 👍🏾

Learn about the flat rate warranty, then youll realize why most techs rush and dont give a care.
Then add the quality of the manufacturer and youll see why everything is how it is in the auto industry, especially in the dealership side.
