My grandfathers song! We are irish, and we always will be, hope yee enjoyed yer st Patrick’s day couple weeks ago! Hope yee enjoy da one next year to in 2020, Thank you, Even though it got out of him years ago, please make a prayer for my grandfather that he doesn’t get cancer again, please, it would help a lot. Thank you for stepping by.
I first heard this song from the singing of Liam Weldon from Ballyfermot, Dublin in the early 70"s. Another great favourite of Liam's was a song called "The Blue Tar Road". My favourite version is the one from Sean Tyrrell but this is also very nice..
Joe Nevib Cathy Maguire is not a travelling woman. Why would you say such a thing? Cathy Maguire is an accomplished singer, songwriter, model and TV presenter who was born in Dundalk, County Louth, Republic of Ireland, on 11 October 1981. At a young age Maguire became a child star, recording her first album at age twelve.[1] At the request of several listeners, she was invited by Gerry Ryan to perform a live set on his radio program, an opportunity that sparked a career that included numerous TV appearances[2] and production of three albums by the time she was 17.
@@hissycissy2748 "Cathy Maguire is not a travelling woman. Why would you say such a thing"....says a lot about where you're coming from...This is a travelers/tinkers song and only a travelling person can sing it properly in my humble opinion.
Beautifully performed by a beautiful Irish lady.

It's actually a compliment from the travelling community to say such a thing!! it should NOT offend you or anyone else.
