Dear Soundpaint. I admire and like you very much. And yet I can't help but ask: do you really think that dark, terrifying, epic, monstrous, monstrous, dirty atmospheres are more useful for music creators than clean, clear, sonorous, romantic and melodious ones? Why the advantage of the former over the latter in Soundpaint? Thanks to the brilliant Soundpaint engine, I can stain any sound color, but it is much more difficult to clean it. Why do I miss the hybrid production of bright clean sounds? I must be weird! PS. I loved Adastra.
Dear Anna. Thank you for your feedback. Soundpaint is a universal eco-system of instruments. To your point there are many forms of music that won't benefit from the dark, epic and monstrous sounds. At the same time Soundpaint has over 150 different libraries, including dozens that do lean towards more clean, romantic and melodic styles of music (which is what I personally prefer too btw). If I may highlight our Alternative Ensembles (ex. Glockenspiel Ensemble), emotional cinematic ambiences, harps nd strings, dozens of vintage guitars and warm oldschool synths, many different pianos and so forth. We will continue to elaborate on this universal eco-system of instruments. I'd be curious to learn what instruments you would like to see more of? Ps. Thank you for your kind note on Adastra. The sentiment is shared. Cheers, Troels!
You're right, Troels. I bought and use many of the beautiful instruments you write about. But I miss "shows" (compilations sounds and textures) that you can create based on them, but without the pressure of dark tones, dirty colors, unconquerable emotions, tragedy and epicness. Maybe it's worth opening up more often in these compilations towards emotions, nostalgia, love, relaxation, caressing, dreams. gentleness... I feel the advantage of testosterone over estrogen. Am I right? :-)@@Soundpaintmusic
Did you try our Hybrid Emotions? This is perhaps more in that vein of thinking in terms of cinematic instruments. One of the eternal challenges in building this universal eco-system of instruments is to offer meaningful depth in all genres of music. My personal preference goes towards the softer side of things, but that is a counter reaction to the fact I used to think the opposite. So for that reason you are seeing both "epic instruments" and more lyrical ones in our catalogue. We live and learn - and that is reflected in the catalogue too. But there are also powerful instruments that I love with equal measure. For example my 66 trombone ensemble, which really just givers a powerwall of sound that cannot be achieved with lesser means. So ... see it as spices ... you make like certain dishes over others - and prefer to cook with certain ingredients. Whereas other sonic chefs likes to cook differently. My job (in terms of creating paint) is to offer as many colors as possible. But I am going more in the lyrical direction moving forward. From super epic to super soft.@@AnnaMuzyka54
So are you converting Hybrid Tools to SP with this related to Hybrid Tools 2 and the other you just came out with is Hybrid Tools 1? Do I email SP support for crossgrades?

What instruments, you ask? I would love to hear: upright bass - played jazz pizzicato. Middle Eastern lyre - oud. Argentine bandeon.
