What I'm saying is that we're likely at this point to see a similar spectacle reserved for Sonic's friends, as a major upgrade from the vague three-second flashbacks for each of them that we saw in the original.

Interesting note; Alvin confirmed that Metallix would have won without the powerup from the Emeralds he had, he just got fed up with Yoshi smacking him around.
Still, it's impressive that Yoshi hopped up on A SINGLE EMERALD was able to sufficiently annoy Metallix enough to push him to go all out just to get the fight over with. It illustrates just how potent having all seven Emeralds can make you that a single one turned the fight from a complete stomp to a genuine back and forth where Metallix took some hard hits and had to actually put in work.
And that’s why you don’t commit tax fraud.
Oh yes. We were all waiting for the episode where Yoshi gets absolutely wrecked. Even though he put up a fight in the reboot, his beatdown was brutal af. Can’t wait for the next episode!
You and SuperNard have the most RAW reactions to poor Yoshi getting BUTALIZED!! Like seriously, it's just pure agony to watch, especially if you're a veteran of the original series.
