This might be the entire reason to get back into Friday Night Funkin. I've been a huge fan of creepypasta/horror type mods for a while with adapting all sorts of collective lore and concepts in a rhythm based game like this. It really captures the core and hidden meaning if you dive into it before or are curious when you play the mod first hand. This mod is absolutely amazing, AND nobody in the group were called out for being cancerous/toxic/or creepy, so thank god this mod didn't get cancelled. IT'S TOO GOOD!!!
This is why I love this games mod there is always mods like these that are diamonds now I’m just waiting for indie cross (as long as we ignore the entire community, content farms, the truth about half people, the fact- holy crap this sucks-)

The thing I love most about this mod is not the visuals, songs, or any of that (don’t get me wrong I absolutely adore them) it‘s the fact that if you die a certain amount of times in a song, Luigi will appear and offer to complete the song for you, essentially acting as a botplay (SMM2 reference). While I think that it’s extremely cool and I love smm2, it offers the less-skilled players to also experience the mod by themselves, increasing the playability of the mod. I feel like that alone makes Mario Madness V2 much better than most mods currently. ❤
There were a few times where my potato laptop couldn't handle the song and the framerate would lower to like 12, making it essentially impossible to play. If it weren't for the luigi mechanic I wouldn't be able to enjoy half of the mod. Shout out to Luigi. 🔥🔥🔥

Mario’s Madness went from being the third wheel creepypasta mod to the sole survivor, and it completely blows the other two away. It’s amazing what avoiding drama can do for a project, hm?
Despite all of the drama within the community, this mod is definitely a comeback for Fnf. The quality is insane, and it’s so amazing to see everything so polished and finished, and it’s very apparent that all of the developers put in tons of effort into every song and the mod in general these past years since the release of V1. Down to the clean sprites, the amazing music, the well thought out and difficulty scaled mechanics, the voice acting and chromatics, and even the Kirby-esque menu descriptions that you can’t miss, this mod was super fun to play. I hope the community can stay strong and collaborate in such a healthy and fun way like this mod did, and hopefully improve itself.

One thing about FNF mods based on pre-established properties is that the musicians tend to use instrument synths from the property's soundtrack in new and interesting ways. Like. "Alone" is built using the synths that make up the Luigi's Mansion soundtrack, but rather than "ooo spooky ghosts are gonna getcha!" it gets used to make a genuinely somber piece.
Mario’s Madness was a masterpiece of a mod. As someone who’s watched and played v1, I still liked v1 it for its uniqueness. It was really the start of Mario.exe mods. But when v2 came out, after 2 years in development, I was blown away. You can really tell how much care and effort they put into the mod. The fact it went from around 20 minutes to almost 3 hours is crazy. The mod still holds its uniqueness and it’s a one of a kind. Honestly, Mario’s Madness is a S tier mod and one of the best mods of all time. Definitely one of the best .exe mods, the team really outdone themselves. This is a mod I’ll probably never forget. I can yap and gush more about everything about this mod, but I’ll not. Seeing everyone’s reactions like Sticky’s and Lisa’s was really enjoyable and funny, even if it was 3 hours long. Have a great night/day Sticky! And I bet editing this was a pain ☠️🍀🍀

In my head I thought of a cool thing it could do where beating certain songs will give you stuff like the chaos emeralds and sonics shoes to go supah speed and then it could end with final escape if you haven’t seen that song just look up final escape sonic exe, it’s five minutes but it’s a banger. Unfortunate that people have to be weird but also the internet is just really good at canceling people for stuff they did years ago to maybe even last week.

After two years, Mario's Madness has returned, and it certainly didn't disappoint, well done to the devs and I hope they get their well-deserved rest. My favorite song from the mod has to be Unbeatable, it's so catchy!
This mod was definitely worth the wait, everything about it is insane and it’s definitely one of the best mods for FNF out there. The art looks amazing, gimmicks add to the challenge without doing anything too unfair, the songs are absolutely bangers, the voice acting is really good, and overall the presentation is fantastic. 10/10 mod right here,

The scariest part of this mod is "Last Course", because Mario ate all the creatures.. And the reason why it's named "Last Course", it's because Boyfriend is the only creature to be eaten by Mario itself. *God damn.*
Fun fact or 3, this Mario is named Turmoil, and happened because he ate a funky Mushroom that contained Yoshi coding. He's also blind, but has excellent sense of smell and hearing. He also won't eat his friends from what I gather, but does take the most gruesome bites he can on his enemies. [Potentially why Boyfriend became a Galoomba; Turmoil has no reason to eat a human boy, but will eat a common grunt enemy.] Other fun fact: the original creator ScrubbDubb discarded this Turmoil for a different version, now some sort of yokai (Japanese spirit).
This mod was an amazing surprise to finally see release. 2 years of development is crazy. Even though Marco said some of the sprites are like a year old they still look phenomenal. Same for all the songs. My favorites being Dark Forest, Powerdown, All Stars and Unbeatable. All the songs each have their 🔥 moments and i love that. The mechanics too are so unique. I swear the DS functionality is so cool (imagine using a actual DS stylus). I was part of both the original stream chat and premiere chat. It was fun to relive the experience with its fun moments. Thank you Sticky for bring such amazing charm while playing this mod 🍀🍀

Honestly, Mario's Madness v2 is both one of the most visually impressive mods I've ever played but also one of the LONGEST and most anticipated mods of all time. But what makes this stand out is how ever single song is an absolute banger. You'll never get bored of playing the songs over and over. More importantly is how accessible this mod is with Beginners to FNF / Rhythm Games with a Bot Play option in story mode after you fail a song 3 times, and how the mechanics aren't that punishing. Plus, this mod itself is a huge love letter to the the fans who made all sorts of Mario content from .EXE variants and to even entirely new stories such as Secret Histories & Day Out. This mod is pretty much PEAK perfection with no major issues! (By the way, All-Stars is absolutely PEAK.)
I totally agree! I've had the mod since I found out it was out (I loved the v1 of it) and I beat it within a few days, its so captivating. Everything about it is so intricate and smooth, and what you were saying about the botplay option and the mechanics not being super difficult to work with is whats already made me a better FNF player. This mod gave me a lot of room to improve on my own skills while enjoying the music and NEVER getting tired of it
Crazy to think how this mod COMPLETELY rose above my expectations. Back around the Funk Kast announcements, the return of Hypno’s lullaby was my obsession. Mario’s Madness was a cool thing to see, but it just felt like sumtin to do in the meantime while we wait for the main stage to redeliver the prodigal son. DANG how the turns have tabled. This masterpiece of a *game* exceeded high above so many of its peers. It has a crazy high amount of banger songs, consistently amazing presentation, a story that concludes? There we go! That’s what I’ve been missin’. Not to mention, JOHN DICK’s kickass trumpet game. I rest my case, man, Lullaby’s got their work cut out for them.
FnF was on a lifeline for what feels like forever and this mod definitely brought back a lot of people and almost jumpstarted the fanbase back up and I’m happy for that. As someone who has watched the community evolve it feels like we might be moving into a new era of fnf. I also find it funny that this mod kinda mimicked history in that Sonic was more popular than mario at one point but then fell off and mario has been standing strong ever since.
This was my number one most anticipated mod ever. I remember seeing gameplay teasers of v1 when it was still called Vs Mario.exe. The art blew me away at the time and it is even better in v2, definatly the best art in all of fnf. Then v1 came out, and while most of the songs were just ok in my opinion, I still loved it. Then when v2 was announced, I would go on UA-cam just about every day, type "fnf marios madness v2" into the serch bar, just to see if there was anything new. And now that the mod is out, I can say that it was totally worth the nearly 2 year wait.
Considering the dude full-combo'd the song on his _first try_ (and that the original intention was that a full combo on All-Stars would lead to an alternate ending where BF would've actually defeated Ultra M)... I'd say he damn well lived up to the claim, in fact.
Such an amazing mod. The fact that this mod is mostly based on Super Mario World makes this mod even better. Also love watching your streams! Been watching you since you started playing FNF.
Man I love the Paranoia song so much.... I love the music, I love the chart! The best part is when it MOVES your window and changes the background, this song is cherished in my heart. I do love the other songs...damn some of them are absolutely BOP! 🔥 Also you are just epic at this FNF mod anyways so this makes it more special 😄
One thing I like about this mod is that, they didn't forget BF. A LOT of mods tend to focus on the new characters, so much so that, when BF is involved in a song, he's normally drowned out by the other characters. In this mod however, THEY LET BF POP OFF!!!!

This mod is So Cool tho. Like top 3 best fnf mods ever. The wait was long Overdue, and many had a nagging Paranoia in them that this mod wasn't coming out. They thought it had an early Demise, the thought of this coming out was nearly Unbeatable. It was as if crossing through a Dark Forest, only to see light at the end of the tunnel. The ghastly negative Apparition of dought faded and this masterpiece dropped out like, hot damm, i felt like an All Star. When i saw a vid on UA-cam about it, i quickly Powerdowned my ps4 to check it out. Then i hear Its-A-Me and holy damn i felt like I Slaughtered a crowd of Starmen.

Fun Fact (If you didn’t know): The mechanic in MARIO SING AND GAME RYTHM 9 was changed in v2.1, because it was crazy stupid in v2. In v2, the mechanic was that if you missed a ring, you would lose ALL your rings. In v2.1, they changed it so that it just takes away a single ring like if you missed a note.
all of the songs are absolute bangers but we gotta give credit to paranoia. its actually peak fnf. its visuals are beautiful even though its mono color, its character is wacky and unique, creepy but not overly dramatic, the music is a bop, and mr virtuals voice is great fitting both the character and the music, the mechanics are top tier, not just showing neat stuff like moving the screen, but it even incorporates stuff thats not nearly as commonly utilized, and lastly, the drop having so much overwhelming stuff going on is amazing. revealing that he killed GF, while also controlling your entire monitor, while chanting menacingly, then when he morphs back into his original form it looks so clean. as i said, so many great songs, but i think paranoia is just in general one of the best songs to come out of fnf generally.

Can we just say hands down, this is one of the best phenominal mods out there in FNF? I mean, this doesn't only poke at various popular Creepypastas but at other internet sources like Flashgitz's Racist Mario, Mashed's Secret Histories Dictator Mario and of course..... Grand Dad!! (Finally did my research and I'm calling him out as my favourite bootleg character). I mean, every song is a complete banger and the whole mod itself just showcases each and every Mario fan idea that completely got a spot on the big leagues of the internet. And probably our childhood. (both comically and horrifying) I mght get stuck listening to this songs but it's too late, I'm always magnetised to them.
My favorite song would probably have to be Demise. I throughly enjoyed the animations for it, the song, and the fake out near it's end. It all made for a uniquely "maddening" experience within the Mario's Madness mod.

Where do I even start with what I wanna say for this mod? I think, to start off, I'll say that this mod was a MASSIVE glowup from the first version and a freaking PHENOMENAL glowup, at that. The music, the characters, the sprites, the references, EVERYTHING was peak. I would dare say it's beyond peak lol. My utmost respect and love goes to the Dev team. I have no clue who let them in the kitchen, but the two years they spent cooking, they cooked a 16 course, 5-star gourmet meal of a mod. Like bruh, this was Insanity. The best kind of insanity. This had everything you could ever want in a Mario creepypasta and/or FNF mod, and more. I think my personal top 3 favorite songs from this mod in order would have to be... All Stars, Powerdown, and Starman Slaughter, with Golden Land and Overdue as honorable mentions. I know there are a lot of other bangers in this mod, but these are just my top 3. If there's anything else I'd wanna say, it's that this mod honestly feels like a comeback for FNF and, I know this will probably be too much to ask and/or hope for, but I really hope that this mod will serve as a sort of inspiration to people out there who really mess with FNF and wanna get to creating their own cool little mods. They won't be as GOATed as Mario's Madness, probably, but I have faith that they'll still be something pretty decent, so long as they put plenty of time, effort, and dedication into them. They can do it, they just have to believe in themselves. I believe in them. But uh...yeah, GOATed FNF mod overall. Funny thing is Bf actually won. Ultra M killed him before the song was over and thus cheated. Bf wins by default. Ultra M lied as well. He said Bf broke their deal by leaving, but Bf came back and fought him in All Stars as the third song. This is why he was killed before the end, he was going to win and M wouldn't allow that since it would mean he would have to let him go. Really makes that whole 'Why do you still fight?' thing stand out more.

From great references to the Mario community, to unique and fantastic mechanics with Bad Day, Paranoia and No Party (to name a few), to bop after bop after bop, to beautiful artwork, to great twists and turns, Mario’s Madness gives me a joy I haven’t felt towards a mod since Indie Cross or Online VS. After not TOO much action in 2023, this mod makes the long down period worth it.
@axl256gamesx7 No Hope has a dodge mechanic. It’s not a bad one, and I do appreciate it being a audio cue rather than a visual cue. But it’s not unique, we’ve seen dodge mechanics in plenty of mods already.
Let's appreciate that if they did implement the good ending like they were going to originally, Sticky would've gotten it. My boy full-comboed a freaking 8 min song!

Despite all of the drama within the community, this mod is definitely a comeback for Fnf. The quality is insane, and it’s so amazing to see everything so polished and finished, and it’s very apparent that all of the developers put in tons of effort into every song and the mod in general these past years since the release of V1.
Down to the clean sprites, the amazing music, the well thought out and difficulty scaled mechanics, the voice acting and chromatics, and even the Kirby-esque menu descriptions that you can’t miss, this mod was super fun to play. I hope the community can stay strong and collaborate in such a healthy and fun way like this mod did, and hopefully improve itself.

One thing about FNF mods based on pre-established properties is that the musicians tend to use instrument synths from the property's soundtrack in new and interesting ways.
Like. "Alone" is built using the synths that make up the Luigi's Mansion soundtrack, but rather than "ooo spooky ghosts are gonna getcha!" it gets used to make a genuinely somber piece.
Mario’s Madness was a masterpiece of a mod. As someone who’s watched and played v1, I still liked v1 it for its uniqueness. It was really the start of Mario.exe mods. But when v2 came out, after 2 years in development, I was blown away. You can really tell how much care and effort they put into the mod. The fact it went from around 20 minutes to almost 3 hours is crazy. The mod still holds its uniqueness and it’s a one of a kind. Honestly, Mario’s Madness is a S tier mod and one of the best mods of all time. Definitely one of the best .exe mods, the team really outdone themselves. This is a mod I’ll probably never forget. I can yap and gush more about everything about this mod, but I’ll not. Seeing everyone’s reactions like Sticky’s and Lisa’s was really enjoyable and funny, even if it was 3 hours long. Have a great night/day Sticky! And I bet editing this was a pain ☠️🍀🍀

In my head I thought of a cool thing it could do where beating certain songs will give you stuff like the chaos emeralds and sonics shoes to go supah speed and then it could end with final escape if you haven’t seen that song just look up final escape sonic exe, it’s five minutes but it’s a banger. Unfortunate that people have to be weird but also the internet is just really good at canceling people for stuff they did years ago to maybe even last week.

This mod was definitely worth the wait, everything about it is insane and it’s definitely one of the best mods for FNF out there. The art looks amazing, gimmicks add to the challenge without doing anything too unfair, the songs are absolutely bangers, the voice acting is really good, and overall the presentation is fantastic. 10/10 mod right here,

The scariest part of this mod is "Last Course", because Mario ate all the creatures.. And the reason why it's named "Last Course", it's because Boyfriend is the only creature to be eaten by Mario itself.

Fun fact or 3, this Mario is named Turmoil, and happened because he ate a funky Mushroom that contained Yoshi coding. He's also blind, but has excellent sense of smell and hearing. He also won't eat his friends from what I gather, but does take the most gruesome bites he can on his enemies. [Potentially why Boyfriend became a Galoomba; Turmoil has no reason to eat a human boy, but will eat a common grunt enemy.]
Other fun fact: the original creator ScrubbDubb discarded this Turmoil for a different version, now some sort of yokai (Japanese spirit).
This mod was an amazing surprise to finally see release. 2 years of development is crazy. Even though Marco said some of the sprites are like a year old they still look phenomenal. Same for all the songs. My favorites being Dark Forest, Powerdown, All Stars and Unbeatable. All the songs each have their 🔥 moments and i love that. The mechanics too are so unique. I swear the DS functionality is so cool (imagine using a actual DS stylus).
I was part of both the original stream chat and premiere chat. It was fun to relive the experience with its fun moments. Thank you Sticky for bring such amazing charm while playing this mod 🍀🍀

Honestly, Mario's Madness v2 is both one of the most visually impressive mods I've ever played but also one of the LONGEST and most anticipated mods of all time. But what makes this stand out is how ever single song is an absolute banger. You'll never get bored of playing the songs over and over. More importantly is how accessible this mod is with Beginners to FNF / Rhythm Games with a Bot Play option in story mode after you fail a song 3 times, and how the mechanics aren't that punishing. Plus, this mod itself is a huge love letter to the the fans who made all sorts of Mario content from .EXE variants and to even entirely new stories such as Secret Histories & Day Out. This mod is pretty much PEAK perfection with no major issues! (By the way, All-Stars is absolutely PEAK.)

I totally agree! I've had the mod since I found out it was out (I loved the v1 of it) and I beat it within a few days, its so captivating. Everything about it is so intricate and smooth, and what you were saying about the botplay option and the mechanics not being super difficult to work with is whats already made me a better FNF player. This mod gave me a lot of room to improve on my own skills while enjoying the music and NEVER getting tired of it
The only song I thought actually sucked was So Cool, but then again it's just Chris Pratt.

Crazy to think how this mod COMPLETELY rose above my expectations. Back around the Funk Kast announcements, the return of Hypno’s lullaby was my obsession. Mario’s Madness was a cool thing to see, but it just felt like sumtin to do in the meantime while we wait for the main stage to redeliver the prodigal son. DANG how the turns have tabled. This masterpiece of a *game* exceeded high above so many of its peers. It has a crazy high amount of banger songs, consistently amazing presentation, a story that concludes? There we go! That’s what I’ve been missin’. Not to mention, JOHN DICK’s kickass trumpet game. I rest my case, man, Lullaby’s got their work cut out for them.
FnF was on a lifeline for what feels like forever and this mod definitely brought back a lot of people and almost jumpstarted the fanbase back up and I’m happy for that. As someone who has watched the community evolve it feels like we might be moving into a new era of fnf. I also find it funny that this mod kinda mimicked history in that Sonic was more popular than mario at one point but then fell off and mario has been standing strong ever since.
This was my number one most anticipated mod ever. I remember seeing gameplay teasers of v1 when it was still called Vs Mario.exe. The art blew me away at the time and it is even better in v2, definatly the best art in all of fnf. Then v1 came out, and while most of the songs were just ok in my opinion, I still loved it. Then when v2 was announced, I would go on UA-cam just about every day, type "fnf marios madness v2" into the serch bar, just to see if there was anything new. And now that the mod is out, I can say that it was totally worth the nearly 2 year wait.

The wait was long Overdue, and many had a nagging Paranoia in them that this mod wasn't coming out. They thought it had an early Demise, the thought of this coming out was nearly Unbeatable. It was as if crossing through a Dark Forest, only to see light at the end of the tunnel. The ghastly negative Apparition of dought faded and this masterpiece dropped out like, hot damm, i felt like an All Star.
When i saw a vid on UA-cam about it, i quickly Powerdowned my ps4 to check it out. Then i hear Its-A-Me and holy damn i felt like I Slaughtered a crowd of Starmen.

Fun Fact (If you didn’t know): The mechanic in MARIO SING AND GAME RYTHM 9 was changed in v2.1, because it was crazy stupid in v2. In v2, the mechanic was that if you missed a ring, you would lose ALL your rings. In v2.1, they changed it so that it just takes away a single ring like if you missed a note.

its visuals are beautiful even though its mono color, its character is wacky and unique, creepy but not overly dramatic, the music is a bop, and mr virtuals voice is great fitting both the character and the music, the mechanics are top tier, not just showing neat stuff like moving the screen, but it even incorporates stuff thats not nearly as commonly utilized, and lastly, the drop having so much overwhelming stuff going on is amazing. revealing that he killed GF, while also controlling your entire monitor, while chanting menacingly, then when he morphs back into his original form it looks so clean.
as i said, so many great songs, but i think paranoia is just in general one of the best songs to come out of fnf generally.

Can we just say hands down, this is one of the best phenominal mods out there in FNF? I mean, this doesn't only poke at various popular Creepypastas but at other internet sources like Flashgitz's Racist Mario, Mashed's Secret Histories Dictator Mario and of course..... Grand Dad!! (Finally did my research and I'm calling him out as my favourite bootleg character). I mean, every song is a complete banger and the whole mod itself just showcases each and every Mario fan idea that completely got a spot on the big leagues of the internet. And probably our childhood. (both comically and horrifying) I mght get stuck listening to this songs but it's too late, I'm always magnetised to them.

Where do I even start with what I wanna say for this mod? I think, to start off, I'll say that this mod was a MASSIVE glowup from the first version and a freaking PHENOMENAL glowup, at that. The music, the characters, the sprites, the references, EVERYTHING was peak. I would dare say it's beyond peak lol. My utmost respect and love goes to the Dev team. I have no clue who let them in the kitchen, but the two years they spent cooking, they cooked a 16 course, 5-star gourmet meal of a mod.
Like bruh, this was Insanity. The best kind of insanity. This had everything you could ever want in a Mario creepypasta and/or FNF mod, and more. I think my personal top 3 favorite songs from this mod in order would have to be... All Stars, Powerdown, and Starman Slaughter, with Golden Land and Overdue as honorable mentions. I know there are a lot of other bangers in this mod, but these are just my top 3.
If there's anything else I'd wanna say, it's that this mod honestly feels like a comeback for FNF and, I know this will probably be too much to ask and/or hope for, but I really hope that this mod will serve as a sort of inspiration to people out there who really mess with FNF and wanna get to creating their own cool little mods. They won't be as GOATed as Mario's Madness, probably, but I have faith that they'll still be something pretty decent, so long as they put plenty of time, effort, and dedication into them. They can do it, they just have to believe in themselves. I believe in them.
But uh...yeah, GOATed FNF mod overall. I hope the entire Dev team, the composers, the charters, the animators, the VAs, the coders, EVERYONE, gets the respect and support they deserve for what they created. They have mine, that's for sure. :)
Funny thing is Bf actually won. Ultra M killed him before the song was over and thus cheated. Bf wins by default.
Ultra M lied as well. He said Bf broke their deal by leaving, but Bf came back and fought him in All Stars as the third song. This is why he was killed before the end, he was going to win and M wouldn't allow that since it would mean he would have to let him go.
Really makes that whole 'Why do you still fight?' thing stand out more.

From great references to the Mario community, to unique and fantastic mechanics with Bad Day, Paranoia and No Party (to name a few), to bop after bop after bop, to beautiful artwork, to great twists and turns, Mario’s Madness gives me a joy I haven’t felt towards a mod since Indie Cross or Online VS. After not TOO much action in 2023, this mod makes the long down period worth it.
