I was “ wrapped “ in bubble wrap as a kid ,then left home 4 horrific decades of being lost ,then almost died,cried out to God and finally woke up and was saved. Praise the Lord who never gave up on me.

Hardest thing I ever done was to tell my 19 year old son he had to get out of my house due to his drugs. I’ve been to the hotels to bring him a meal. I’ve been to the hospital with near overdose.
But he finally got it together. Got a great job and a son of his own. One day he told me, Dad, kicking me out was the best thing you did for me. Love him
Been there Mom! Had to offer rehab or the street to my oldest when he was 19. He eventually got sober, married and have four great kids...4 of our grands. Tough love is hard, but not helping our loved ones kill themselves with alcohol and drugs is worse.

Voodie you are a good teacher of the word. The world needs this all these kids today have been in front of a video game. The government wants children to fail so they can't think without being told how to think GOD help our children.
Amen. A lot of parents can not handel it. Letting them fall hard.

Wowww as a parent who is hurting watching my son struggle, I needed to hear this 😢 I put him in Jesus hands to heal his mind and restore his life 🙏🏽✝️❣️😞
Absolute Truth and 50 years later I am still grateful to my courageous wise Father that had the guts to let me fall on my face .
The man changed the direction of my life by letting me fall so I could begin to climb up and out of the hole I dug myself in .
It's called tough love. If you want them to succeed you have to let them fail.

Much to learn and opportunity to grow in failing. My mom had many wonderful words of encouragement: if you haven't failed then you haven't tried enough; it isn't failure until you stop trying; and God won't give you more than you can handle with Him (teaching us that we can't do it on our own). Keep preaching and applying His Word, thank you Vodie!

I was always allowed to fail and I always had to pick myself up too. Was never taught how to do either though. I'm as lost today as I was then. All I know is failure. If I ever did anything right, I don't know. Teach your kids. Teach them howto fail and teach them how to get back up and tell them they aren't a burdensome mistake.

He serves as Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia
@@supercooldude824 Voddie also takes visits to America quite often and preaches at different churches all over. I had the pleasure to catch a surprise sermon from him because we were out of town and had to go to church somewhere random, and we saw him after songs come up and preach.
