    Wonderful comparison Jason..!!!
The 8 year old is can be found in the US if you're willing to pay 200 to 300 USD for it.
The Talisker Distiller's Edition is a perennial favorite of mine.

New Talisker 18 price in the UK is £175.

You twisted my arm, ordered a bottle costing £76.99 incl delivery (approx €92) Indy Taliskers aren’t any cheaper here in Scotland so thought it was worth a go.

Can I ask where you were able to buy it at that price? I've been considering picking up a bottle and at £76.99 I'm willing to bite!

Nice review, Jason. And great recommendations.
The only Talisker I have tasted so far is the 2017 Distillers Edition. Liked it very much. Have also unopened bottles of the 18 yo and the new 10 yo waiting their turn. As for the Special Releases, the 2021 hasn't made it to Bulgaria yet, but the 2019 and 2020 ones can still be bought. The prices are absurd though so I've been ignoring them. If the 2021 release actually makes it to our market at price below 100 euros I just might consider a purchase. Still not very likely though. 8 yo single malt, matured in "just casks" albeit bottled at cask strength is a 60 euros worth in my book. 70 if you factor in "rarity" which in Diageo context is an utter BS.
    Cheers!

Interesting, Jason, I haven't tried this yet, but was sent a sample of it by a youtuber friend, so just waiting to recover to assess it properly but it is hard to resist listening to your review...I think I might have answered your question already in another video, so may skip the "collector's" or "unicorn" rare stuff mention (you see it coming : a 1955 G&MP, mindblowing) to more "mortal" contemporary stuff... i'm worried about this new 10 (first off I hate the new torn-like label, its color which suggests me 2 things : Heavier caramel colouring, Heavy char on tired casks. I might be wrong, but....I liked the old 10 (even more my 1989 or so bottle, with the map on half of the label, a masterpiece), dismissed the "Skye" until I got used to it, prefered to it the "Storm", loved the 2005/2007 years of the Talisker 18 yo (which within my groupe of collector friends we were naming "the mini-Port Ellen" (or poormens's Port Ellen), saw a change on it after 2007/2010 (still got one that's good, but more caramelly) loved a lot the cask strength 25 yo & less the 45,8 % version, loved the 20 yo CS I have, but...sometimes, when very good selections, prefered the indie bottlings alternatives, more impressive...For instance, Adelphi's Fascadale No 1 release (caution, not all Fascadales were Talisker, some were Highland Park, etc), WB6745.

Since they are no longer the only distillery on Skye, maybe they'll replace that wording on the label with more about their coloring or chill-filtering processes. LOL.
