I remember being in a record shop in Brighton and the sales guy asking what The Staves were like.
I went through the tracks, on Dead and Born and Grown, and when I got to The Eagle Song the best way I could describe it was to say that it's like Bohemian Rhapsody - only better.
Saw the same guy a few months later and he told me I was right!l

I love all their Take Away Shows, but this one is my absolute favorite...so pure, organic and free, just like the eagle they're singing about.

We couldn't find a pub, so we took The Staves on the edge of a cliff in Cornwall. There, they played 'Eagle Song' for us. Just lots of beauty (the song, the girls, the moment, the landscape...)

i hope this isn't saying the wrong thing but a compliment; The Staves are the female vesion of crosby Stills and Nash's first album; such high-reaching harmonys. Wow, I love the Staves. This is real music.

Never capo a uke? Utter nonsense! There are many capos available especially for ukuleles as well as banjos, bouzoukia even dulcimers. Perfectly acceptable and very useful for the keys in which The Staves play. cf. Facing West.

Two times. The oldest is Jessica Staveley with the dark hair. The other two are twins I believe.
