These three angels are 'heaven sent'
Honestly, the Staves are one of the best groups on earth in my opinion. Their three part harmonies, amazing arrangements and tones....they are unstoppable. I am so looking forward to their next album!!

Wow you can really hear the Bon Iver influence in this song. So good!! I saw the Staves open for Bon Iver at Red Rocks and was blown away... beautiful voices.

CikisHelyzet they sure can stand on their own, but it’s no secret Bon Iver, Justin especially, influenced the girls BIG TIME. Hell, he produced this album, he even sings on this song. There surely is no need for any more proof I sense. Apart from that, the three sister always refer to Justin as someone who influenced them very much. Also - all the collaborations that revolve around Bon Iver and Justin are so beautiful and definitely so much more that any feminist war (with Justin being a feminist himself). The whole thing is about art and the pushing of artistic expression without any 'I get credits for this, I wrote that'. It’s about creating, together.

I've seen Joni Mitchell live with c.s.n.+y.James Taylor.kate bush on her Lionheart tour in the late70s.and ' Fleetwood Mac.and too many to remember now.! And I can honestly say you ladies are on a par with them all.

When I think back.all the gigs most of them I have forgot.I worked on my 1st concert in 1989. At g.mex in Manchester. It wasINXS..and been a stage hand ever since.rod Stewart Elton john.the stones Paul mcCartney.Stevie wonder Madonna.too many to mention The Staves are by far up amongst the top of my list.I've not worked on their gigs yet.but would gladly work for nothing on that one.they are for song writing alone on a par with Joni Mitchell and Fleetwood Mac.
I agree with the songwriting! It's so intelligent and mesmerizing. D&B&G is filled to the brim with evocations of snow, mountains, hills, and rivers; and the BEST part is, their voices carry you on a magical blimp to whenever or wherever their lyrics decide to portray.
