The incomparable Duranice Pace. She was a member of the Anointed Pace Sisters, a gospel singing group, who were also family. Her sister Lashun Pace was a powerful singer. They both have gone on in the Lord.
I will never be able to hear Happy Birthday again without wishing She was singing.

This is Duranice Pace. She passed away January of 2021. She was very loved in the gospel community🤧🙏🏾
I'm not black but my biggest idols growing up were the black musicians around me and I learned so much from them, how to improvise and harmonize like this. I am the worst musician when compared to them but the best musician with regards to improvising amongst my more western-classically inclined friends! It may be talent but it's also just lots of frequent exposure at regular intervals

For those who don't know, this is the legendary Georgia gospel group, The Pace sisters. Duranice (and I think that was her son singing alongside the sisters; all the children sing regardless lol) is the lady singing lead.
Some of you may recognize her sister, LaShun Pace, from the meme where she's singing and moving the mic from side to side.
To me, the Pace Sisters have the best and most unique sound in gospel history- Duranice being the most unique-sounding of all 8 sisters.
R.I.P to Betty Pace (their mother who also sang), Daddy Pace (their dad who sang and preached), Murphy Pace (their brother who sang and preached), Ms. LaShun Pace, and Ms. Duranice Pace.💖
