So basically make it into everything else that ESP LTD offers? Don't get me wrong, I love EMGs but I don't want EVERY model to be a carbon copy on just a different body style. Throw some Duncans, Fishmans, hell even some DiMarzios or Bareknuckles. Hate getting a guitar and having to drop another $250-$400 just for a different set of pickups. I'd like to see some variety for every type of player. I've already got 3 guitars with EMG 81/85s why would I want another guitar that's just gonna sound the same? LTD won't put Duncans or Fishmans on an guitar unless it's either a very specific guitar like the EC-1000, or a signature model.

I did purchase the M-400 in Deep Red Metallic. It turns out that what color you choose changes the pup's. Mine came with Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck position and a JB in the bridge. I'm still confused as to why their is no "Tone" knob! I like the fret board and the Floyd Rose Special Tremolo and the 6 pound 10 oz. weight. The pups are a little confusing, but I switch between them to change the tone. I also ordered a new Randall RD5H Diavlo head because I can't get a great Metal sound out from any of my 9 amps (4 of them are tube amps). I had a hot rodded Marshall JCM 900 amp with a full stack of JCM 900 cab's and from that rig I could get fantastic Metal tone. I sold it and all my gear because of injuries that prevented me from even holding a guitar. I still have great pain when I play. I tell people that I'm blessed that way-ouch!
Props to them for sticking to their guns. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But nothing they have been releasing lately has captured that same excitement that I got from them models they were doing in the late 90s and early 00s. But obviously these will catch someones eye. Surprisingly I thought the TE sounded better than the M400.
I would also like to have heard TE-200 in a clean mode... but could not from this ridiculous demo. But I bought one anyway, a red... and just wanna say that, I've not been disappointed, it's really a great guitar, adjusted a little on the string height and lowered the pick-ups a bit. I think it sounds good with the neck pickup and the neck plus bridge, the bridge alone is to much treble for my taste, but I think generally not many guitars sound good in the bridge position.
Swap the pickups out on the TE200 and it will be a decent tele... Or just get rid of that shitty ass Marshall... I got the TE202 from Amazon for $184 swaped out the pickups and it's one of my main axes
These are sweet - solid Mahogany with designer pups at $400+ maaaaannnn! And that Bass is bad asssss- (sorry my keys are sticking) and are you allowed to say Bubinga and Wangay and what the hek is wangay is that WuTangs little cousin???
The Jim root has different controls, different pickups, less frets, no binding, different neck join and a different neck profile. Just because the particular model he had at hand to demo with looks slightly like it, doesn't mean it's a ripoff. The TE-200 also comes in different finishes that don't look like the Jim Root
so basically they probably took all the M330s that never sold, repainted them and took the ESP designed active pickups out and put emgs in them is what it looks like, I'm just gonna but the Ltd kh330 which is the KIRK Hammett signature in the 330 series that has a tone and 2 volume knobs and a bolt on neck and put the EMG James Hetfield set of pickups and I'll have a 50 times better guitar for $200 less( guitar-300$ and het set-200$)
I'm sorry I thought it was 700 not 800, so I'll save $300, I'm so glad this video just happened to pop up on my UA-cam home page or I would of wasted a lot of money, if anyone is thinking about getting this M400, save yourself 500-600$ and just get a M330, the can be found used for 200-300$, the ESP designed active pickups sound just like emgs
Put some active EMGs in that TE200 and change the tuners and you have a monster workhorse on your hands. Love it.

I really wanted to like the TE-200,but after hearing a sample, I've changed my mind. IMHO it sounded horrible.

I'm pretty sure that TE-200 has an almost 14" radius. That's what the website says. Anyone know if it's 12"? I'd prefer 12".
