Great video, very informative. Just wondering, on your 42"roll cab. Does your roll cab have 2 -90* angle braces underneath the roll cab, between the wheels? The reason I ask, I bought 2- 42" roll cab recently. One had more and beefier bracing (4 total), and the other had fewer and flimsier bracing, only (2). Which I ended up returning and getting another that had 4 support braces. Facing the roll cab, one had U shaped bracing at each set of wheels, along with 2- 90* angle bracing between the wheels. The other had only 2- 90* angle brace at the wheels, instead of the U shaped bracing. No bracing between the wheels.
@wIzKid16100 not sure, but I have a feeling it won't actually fit. I've played around a little within the 42" bottom and top chest by moving a deep in place of 2 shallow drawers and that works.
Yes I have the 56" also and it appears to be the same. The 42" feel slightly sturdier. I think bc the drawers are slightly smaller with the same amount and size slides and what not.
What do you think of the box I’m interested in getting one for myself as I am an automotive painter and I do some light body repair as well. I’ve outgrew my little tool cart lol
If you just need a slightly larger one, I might opt for finding a used snap-on for under a grand. But if ur set against spending a grand then definitely get these. I have a 56" snap-on packed out and wanted to changed it up some. So i got 2 42" and 1 56" us general. These will be just fine for me.
Thank you I have been looking for used boxes near me and for comparable sizes snap on boxes are selling around 2500/3k I know it’s a better built box but I don’t use my roller cart hard and it’s the original us general box lol
@CRFHONDARIDER100 o then ull be just fine with these then. Same slides across all size boxes so the 42" drawers feel really good. The 42" is a bit pricy at 600 to me. But im happy with them.
@@Nitrokz71 I have the original 42 at work and went shopping today and am almost sold on the series 3 42” but the latching drawers just seem like a hassle to me on a box that stays stationary 90%+… it makes sense on service carts but for my main box it just feels like an extra step! It seems like all of their boxes are latching now so if that’s the direction they’re taking I guess I just need to “get used to it” 😢
I've been waiting for someone to say something lol. Tug-of-war box had the brakes on 😂. Other box came out like a breeze which is why I didn't remove the boards 😅
I hate these fucking toolboxes that don’t have grip latches built into them. For the life of me, I don’t understand why they just can’t make it standard as you would having wheels on the damn thing!
Not a word was spoken, but still answers every question I had. Awesome review, Thank you!!!
Thanks! Yeah I didn't want to mess up the review by talking lol
Best overview of this tool chest I've seen on UA-cam. Solid job man.
@@VillainCollector1 thanks I appreciate it!

@gilbosdiy have no idea honestly. I've only been underneath one to install the larger casters. I want to say it has 90° bracing but I can't remember
Is it possible to swap drawers from the 56 to this one? Specifically the deep power tools drawer by removing those two semi deep one

Do you also have the 56"? Is the gauge of the steel the same on both? Are they equally sturdy?

I posted a video of the 56" as well
@@Nitrokz71 Thank you. It helps to know that. Because while I love the look of the 56 in the store, the 42 is going to fit my space better.
HF specs show the drawers are 22" deep. Looks like they are only 19 3/8" inside.
Definitely not 22 inside

Fyi- us general full service cart is pretty bada** for the money!

Are those 2 boxes bolted together?
No
HF website only gives exterior box dimensions. Drawer dimensions are what we want to know. 👍
That's right. Any other dimensions you might need, just let me know!
@Nitrokz71 how tall is top drawer . Wanting to know if it will fit a socket set in a blow molded case
@milesc1985 at about 04:38 of my video it looks to be around 4 & 3/4 inch. I can get a better measurement if need be.
How do you like the drawer latching? Is it smooth or bothersome?
Pretty smooth honestly, but not as smooth as my snap-on. I'll be loading them down in 2 or 3 weeks, so that will be a better time to ask.
Should add- it still only latches on one side. But ur able to open it from anywhere on the drawer now

@@user-wr3gp8hj3i you can remove the latch and just have it as a standard drawer
Everything is loaded down now in my latest video. I'm surprised how good the socket drawer feels!
Can use those skids as dollys put wheels in them I do
O nice, didn't even think of that
Those bottom boards are removable so you don’t have to lift the box.😂

Not heavy, so not a hassle to lift.
I would've done the same.
Like green very much a lot better then pucky crappy graycolor
I actually like the grey lol. I have a 56 snapon with the hutch in grey. But I need more room. And love this green so im switching
@@Nitrokz71 I don't like pucky gray colors way to much grays colors in cars trucks so tired seeing grays
