Awesome looking beer! What a huge amount of (dry)hops 🤭Great video with technical instructions AND humor, you did make me laugh LOL 🤣 You have another subscriber btw. Cheers!!!
Christmas Vacation is my favorite too!! Our family tradition is watching it after thanksgiving dinner 😂 another good Christmas movie is The Family Stone.. if you haven’t seen it, you might want to check it out!
Thanks for making and sharing this video. This is the Best Brewing Video I have ever seen. Hilarious, technical, and informative. I use BrewTools as well. Keep making these, please. Cheers!
Man I watched this again! Great system, legit helpful brewing tips, honest mistakes made included, phenomenal looking beer, hilarious the whole way through! Best brewing video I’ve seen in a while.
Great video, looks amazing and a great film too. Even with all that brewing kit there's still a few problems in the process that gives a novice like me reassurance 🤘🤘
Cheers to home brewed beers, we just subscribed after your video found us . We love to brew beer grow some hops, make mead and different wines and others on our channel. Stay thirsty friend and brew good beer.
1.026FG is pretty high 😅 Is this your goto range for NEIPAs? Also have you ever had any problems with hop creep having such a high FG? Happy holidays! 🍻🤘
It's high according to the BJCP, but you do want the sweetness to stand up against the hops. What does the FG have to do with hop creep? If you never let the beer get hotter than ~15 degrees Celsius when canned I see no problem?
@@WestumHjemmebryggeri thanks for the insight, my latest NEIPAs were always below 1.020 but I found maltodextrin to help a lot with the perceived mouthfeel and sweetness. Have you made any experience with maltodextrin or lactose additions?
Damn Son, What fine equipment you have there! I especially enjoyed how you purged your hops in the dump valve with CO2 before the addition. Next time use silicone spray instead of WD40 as WD40 is petroleum based and this will jam up your seals.
That's a great brewing set-up! I'm a professional and I don't have all of those bells and whistles! What an enjoyable video that was to watch. Thank you.
Interesting that you use whirlfloc, I would think you wouldn't want any clarifying to keep the haze. Have you tried without whirlfloc, or is it for sure doing something you want?
Good question. That’s what I learned back in the day. Just googled and I see the preferred temp is 167°F 🫣 Looks like I been doing it wrong for 9 years then 😂 Shit….
Great video, but I have to disagree with your recommendation to never bottle carbonate NE IPAs. I regularly brew NE IPAs, almost exclusively bottle (not keg), and have had no issues with oxidation during conditioning.
How much hops per liter did you use then? People have been trying to convince me about bottle carbonated NEIPAs for years and several people even sent me bottles, but nope...they did not taste good and got that nasty oxidation flavor in the background (even some was still yellow). Why take the chance at a style like this that is so sensitive to oxidation? Not worth trying, in my opinion.
@@WestumHjemmebryggeri I know, I keep adding it to my morebeer cart and then taking it out after I see the price. 😀 I'm also a B80 user and love their stuff so I'll just save up a bit longer, it looks perfect for what I need. Nice job again, enjoyed the video!
Fin video.
@@WestumHjemmebryggeri no sadly we only ever see their 'greatest hits' over here. I guess you are either talking 'cask'. Or mixed ferm barrel aged etc. thanks for the reply mate.
@@MrFlyingguy ooh if you’re into imperial stouts and barleywines, you should try to find it. Their barrel program is amazing! I brewed a collab with them earlier this year. A wheatwine that is currently resting in a bourbon and rum barrel 🤩 Can’t wait to try the result!
Blir jo litt svinn pga humlemengden, men brukte rundt tre og en halv time med hjelp fra svogeren min. Men med nok smaksprøver underveis, så går tiden fort 🍺😂
It's a shame not to make bread from these cereals. Many hungry ppl out there in the world due to Yank invasions, but the Yanks gettin fatter every year. Observed that in walmart, where ppl cruising with wheelchairs through the corridors.
My wife often makes bread, crackers etc of the spent grains. Most craft breweries over here in Norway got deals with local farms so the spent grains get fed to their animals

Awesome video, just subscribed. Where are you from, sounds like Canada Eh? Brought back childhood days of the McKenzie Brothers!!
Thanks a lot, man🍺😁 No I’m from Vikingland, AKA Norway! 😈🇳🇴
One of the best brewing video’s i seen in me time as a homebrewer🤘 Half of the freezer of hops in that beer🍺🤘

Dude make more videos!
I’ll try 🍺😊
This is amazing. Loved every bit of it. Definitely will try it out myself anytime soon!

Thanks a lot 🍺😁 Haven’t been to the New England area since 2019 🫣 I need a new “beercation” ASAP
I hope you will make more videos. Your videos are really high quality! I enjoy your videos just as much I enjoy Clawhammer videos
Thanks a lot! That means a lot! I'm working on new content as we speak :)
Daimn that valve got proper stuck... Where do you need to put lubricant to avoid this?
Great video by the way!
Thanks a lot! Honestly, I’m not 100% sure 🫣😂 Need to ask the Brewtools guru’s

I was a bit quick with the video edit. After the trub dropped the FG was 1.024. But yeah. 1.020 is normally the minimum I try to land at.
And no…no problems with hop creep.
@@rob1965g-i3b yes it's generally no problem if you can cool the beer, but what if not or you're not in control because you sell some beer...

Curious to know what you do with all those cans? Do you sell them or drink them all?
I share a lot with family and friends + some trading 🍻

I used to brew NEIPAs without as well, but it makes it easier to drop out other crap you don’t want. They’re equally hazy/murky if you do it right 🙂
@@WestumHjemmebryggeri Didn't know that, I will give it a try next batch!
Why mash out at 172 degrees. I thought anything over 170 releases tannins

12-14 g/l is typical for my NE IPA recipes. Granted, if I had all the equipment you do, I would not bottle either.
Can I come brow with you? I won't be able to spend 3 weeks so we need to do an IPA.
Where in the world are you located?
