      @You Mad? No, black people have way too many types of hair for a "generalization" that like generalizing the numbers 1,2,3,4,5, its not just 3, it's all of them. On ther other hand, white people have very few variations of hair.

      You Mad? Clearly you know nothing about black hair we all don’t just have one curl every black person has different curl patterns like 3b 3c,4a which are the more loser curl patterns to 4b and 4c which are the more tighter curls just like white people who hair can be from straight from wavy to curly black people hair is from the loser curls to the tighter curls we don’t all have the same hair texture

    Not every white girls hair is thin and long.. and not every African, African American, (s) etc hair has that texture either. This video seems very stereotypical to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ a lot of work goes into both hair types, all hair types for that matter.

      Zedet Hi, um I know white people can have afros I’ve seen it. Its in in other Races to have kinky hair. If you have it they call it a syndrome and I’m not saying all Africans have kinky hair because sometimes we are mixed with another “black” race. Like me I’m part African but I have straighter more fragile curls because I’m mixed with something else. And yes your right there is no real reason that black hair is different because curls are hard to take care of anyways

      Agne B. can someone please answer this questions for me.. I have been trying to get this answered.
      why do black woman say they are proud to have black hair and %90 of them like to where weav?
      I have seen many videos of Indian girls & Spanish girls getting their hair shaved off crying because they are being force to get it cut off.
      and black woman buy them not caring. my coworker had black hair and our company let her have her natural hair and she never came into work with out wearing weav.
      also I have to ask I'm Latino and for the most part I have never heard of a Latina women going out and buy black woman hair. They use their "natural" hair.
      also another question why do black woman get defensive and get all insecure about "natural" hair when they have weav on and plan on having weav on their head for the majority of the year?

Your assuming. Just like how if I said "Oh all latinas date older men for their money" or " all they care about is money"

    • @pastelpepe
      @pastelpepe 6 років тому +104

      young Assasin It's honestly not 90%. Also, just because we are proud doesn't mean we can't have fun with it. I am proud of my hair and I can still perm it, flat iron it, wear weave and extensions all I want and that doesn't make me less proud. That's like saying because someone with brown hair bleaches their hair blonde, that they aren't proud of their genetics for giving them brown hair.

    For those who actually wanted science: Straight hair follicles are round in circumference, like a rod. Curly to kinky hair strands are flatter, more ribbon-like. And if you've ever seen a whole bunch of ribbons, they like to clump together and tangle. Hence the difficulty of curly and kinky hair.

For the hair stylist to just stop doing the black girls hair, made it seem like black hair is this struggle and stressful thing to tackle. This video was pointless. Next time, if you put a title on a video, make sure the video does what you actually claim it's going to do. I don't feel informed, I just feel annoyed. • @Adriftinasea
      @Adriftinasea 4 роки тому +17

      @ኄኖክ ኃይሉ actually we don't know that. our hair evolved to be kinky, just as other groups evolved straight hair over the same time continuum. the original ancestral hair was probably of a curly type that was silkier than the hair that we now have, judging by the fact that everyone else has straight silky hair but us. just as the original skin color for humans was probably more of a medium brown/golden tone, rather than an extreme on either end (light or dark).

    Edit: Actually this view is just plain ignorant. Here are my gripes about this video:
    1. Black people can have multiple different textures not just 4c hair (My hair is 2c,3a), and it is extremely silly to say that you must be of another race to have wavy hair. Show how diverse the black race is!
    2. Black people can have long hair! I'm going to give you guys the benefit of the doubt and say that was to show shrinkage... but it just came off as saying black people can't have long hair because of their hair texture.

    I feel like this video put a negative connotation on black hair; that it is difficult and takes longer to style and manage compared to white hair. Which is true in a lot of cases, but not all. And I feel like only showing 4c natural hair may make white people that are unfamiliar with black hair think that we all have 4c hair. Or that we all have natural hair. I would've loved to see different textures along with 4c, and relaxed hair as well. Show the frustration but also the joy and beautiful styles that go along with black hair. Sorry, but I was gravely unimpressed and disappointed with this video. 😕🤷🏾‍♀️

    FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT A REAL EXPLANATION:
    The texture of black hair is different from white hair. I'm not talking about curly and straight but I'm talking about every individual strand of hair. White hair usually has to be washed every day or every other day or it gets "greasy" right? Black hair could honestly go weeks depending on the person. This video only shows the struggles of having natural hair (not straightened/relaxed). Me personally, I am black and I straighten my hair. I usually wash it once every one-three weeks depending on if I'm busy. I say that because when I wash and straighten my hair it takes a lot. Not just an hour... I have to plan my day around it assuming I don't just go to the salon. Don't get me wrong some white people can have trouble with their hair too but black hair is definitely different. I don't know if I answered all the questions but yeah

      Oh ma jesus and white people thought i was crazy saying i dont need to wash my hair that often.. (not full black, only have like 3A curls but get what you're saying)

      Us white people really shouldn't be washing our hair every day..we've just been conditioned to over wash it and then it overcompensates by producing more oil. I wash mine every 4-7 days

      +Amelia Brackett it depends on the person

      Carlie Olivia what you're saying is just as stereotypical as the video. When I wash and straighten my hair I have to plan it out because it also definitely takes longer than two hours. It's all about a person to person basis. Not black, white or any other race because that is when people start grouping individuals together in an unrealistic way.

      well it depends on the texture of your hair. She stated "Don't get me wrong some white people can have trouble with their hair too but black hair is definitely different"
      we cant sit here and pretend race doesnt exist.. black textured hair is its own thing, and thats something black people have, and you're allowed to say black people have textured hair cause they do... it's not a 'stereotype'

    Why do people call it “ black hair” every black person has different hair. For example my hair has big curls and parts that are wavy.

      eh i guess because you can't get past 3c hair if you're not at least partly black (at least in my experience). even the 3c one is rarely seen in white people.

      Queen Lee Depends on where in Africa you’re from, most african Americans originate in west Africa typically Bantu population this genetically have rough hair someone from Madagascar or the Horn of Africa will have curlier hair and more loose.
      In the end it’s not “black hair” just depends on your heritage.

      They chose the most racist, and stereotypical way to represent black hair. Not all 4c hair looks like that either. Ugh, just shows you how little progress has actually been made.
