Solution to IQ puzzle: Cookie Monster will figure it out first. Starting with Soldier, he sees a blue hat and a red hat, but he can't be sure whether Bear has a red or blue hat, so he couldn't figure it out. Cookie Monster sees 1 red hat, but it gains the extra information that Soldier must've seen a blue and a red hat, because if Soldier would have seen 2 red hats, he will deduce that his hat is blue, and vice versa. So, Soldier must've seen 1 red hat and 1 blue hat. Since Cookie Monster sees a red hat in front of him, it only makes sense that its hat was the blue hat Soldier saw. So, it deduces that its hat is blue.
The formula of (n / 2)(first number + last number) = sum works only for consecutive integers. After we 抽2出來, the expression becomes (1+2+3+4+...+100) which equals the sum of consecutive integers.
