Mines a 98 and! Used green that said it Was for multiple use and Ford etc., etc., Is I'm gonna be Mad as Hell if the antifreeze I bought Wasn't listed for My Pick up.
Great video. It helped me a great deal. I don't need to change the pump now, but with 140000 miles on my truck it will go soon. Also the heater pipes from the pump are rusted so I'm watching them as well. I always like to see exactly what the old pump looks like when it's out and on the workbench. That is to ensure I am watching the correct video I need. It looks easy, but you made it look easy. Thanks, keep up the great work.

@@TRQ What happens if you put in a green fluid, because you didn't have any gold fluid? I did that grabbing whatever we had on the shelf. Is there gonna be a problem down the road?

Wish I would have payed more attention to the fan. Ford put two different fans on these trucks depending on the trim package. The one shown here has a standard fan. My king ranch has an electric fan. The hub sizes are different, and I am 3/4 of the way through installing the wrong pump. The local parts guy didn't ask enough questions to get me to the right pump.
Very nice video. If you mentioned which engine this is I missed it. I'm thinking the V6? Did you use any thread sealant on any of the bolts or studs? It appeared you installed the Water Pump gasket dry, is that correct? Thanks again for the video.
Freaking awesome. Thank you I only had one issue. One of the long bolts that holds that bracket- would not bottom out. Not sure what the problem was- I used a little bit of oil and eventually it seated -but it felt like the bolt was going to snap. It was not cross threaded. Strange
I replaced the water pump and heater tube but it is leaking from the heater tube . It seems the tube is loose when inserting it into the water pump . I tried adding more o rings and silicone but still leaks . Could it be the new tube is defective (incorrect width ?) also what bolt size is needed ? The screw( small bolt) I have seems smaller and seems to be slipping while tightening . Please help

Thank you. That bracket on top of the water pump has kept me from changing the cam position sincronizer. It is frozen on there.

Nice clear, well-lit video. So rare for how-to's on UA-cam. Great job.

"I put the wire there to show you if it's stuck behind it would be very bad..."😂

I noticed that as well. Wondering if you need a sealant....and how much do you use?
How do you know if you need a m30 or m36 size water pump?
Great job. I would not want to be a mechanic up North. Every metal surface is rusted, what a pain in the a** that has to be..
+ANT CIARR Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Did you replace the heater core assembly pipe Or did you use the old one
Great job 👏

I use a green Prestone antifreeze. It says it’s for ford. Never had a problem
Link for the tube
Should the water pump and collant tube be flush to the pump

No silicone on water pump or gasket ?
I think I would have replaced radiator hoses and the hoses connected to the water pump

Something is missing at 11:09.
Doesn’t look like a 5.4
What the hell are you working on it certainly isn't a 2004 to 2008 5.4 3 valve
Why do you have to hold on to it when your using a air wrench😂😂😂😂😂😂
For get it hire a macanic.
My 05 f150 looks more like the 03 model video.
My 4.6 f150 is nothing like this. Mine looks much easier
Outstanding video, thank you!
