I'm having nightmares Wayne with this total dog of a build, even the promotion beauty shots the model looks poor and the deflector looks awful. Price mark on this will be over 2k with all the mods it will require will be interesting to watch the build however

I've gotta say it the deflector dish looks awful iam a die hard fan and detail is important I just think after the mess that was made of the first release these are mistakes they shouldn't be making.
I'm not sure if anyone else had this but with Pack 2 I got another nacelle and I'm not sure why it's mentioned on packing slip but not in magazine so I'm confused to why I was sent it again
One way to limit light bleeding is to carefully file the edges of windows and lifeboats to remove imperfections (like remains of sprue spurs) and ensure that they adhere well to the frame.
@@WorldofWayneUK good they also pulled the millennium Falcon and Delorean I am doing all 3 the Delorean is on its third year by the way really enjoy your videos makes building these a lot easier
On assembly 6 i can't get the two pieces of the frame attached to the larger portion tight. I'm scared I'll strip the screws if i try more. Any suggestions?
I know you've said you're doing a vanilla "as is" build on this project. But please, please do one thing and black out the vents on the top deck. They are not supposed to be lit, just paint them black to match the other side and remove the LED.
just subbed to the ent d, the falcon, the delorean, the knight rider kitt, and ecto-1. Staggered them so hopefully every week I'll be getting something to do

I bought into this right before the company went bankrupt and I no longer have the means and money to complete it. If anyone wants to get a jumpstart on this build I’d be willing to sell my completed parts off at a severely discounted price. I got up to stage 21.
do you think this one will have the same issues like the one from hte previous bankrupt model? isn't the same kit ? the fitment issues, the light bleeding, or did this company improved it?

I just received my issue 1. I was a bit disappointed as it looked as though they just threw it into a brown box and shoved paper on top. I also thought the pin set came with the first issue. I hope they get better...
This looks a great build Wayne, what type of oil are you using for the screws, are you sent the complete sets to build these models or do you have to wait for each pack to come out cheers.
Definitely some improvements to the build from Fanhome such as labeling of the wiring to the lights. Might try to label moving forward. Do you still have a link to Amazon for supplies? I’ve looked but not found. I’m interested in the container you now use for the oil and adding the stronger screwdriver you utilized in this video. Thanks in advance. Great video as always!
i'll look into the supplies as well, but I'm not too keen on the oil. Don't like working with oil, it's too messy. You don't really need oil, they'll screw in just fine.
might it be an idea to use 3M photomount spray on the insides of the panels, so that the windows and lifeboats stay in place as you assemble....once covered by the back panel it shouldn't be a problem if used sparingly. ..
Hey Wayne, I noticed that this time around, you bypassed the the design issues with the model, compared to the studio model (ex. the lit vent at the bridge), do you plan on incorporating mods or are you just gonna do the model as is?
With all the problems experienced the first time around, aren't you practicing the definition of "insanity" - expecting a different result doing the same thing?

I wish they made a part works 1701-A, it would be a great alternative to the Polar Lights kit which takes quite a bit of skill and patience. 😊

I totally messed up stage 3 🤦♂️ I superglued the lighting in the wrong way round I don’t know why I done that now

I was wondering that too, I'm slightly confused but I assume Wayne's just started over again.
I started over as the plans I had for it wouldn't work. The frame goes right behind the windows so you can't use a central light system on it.

Use oil. Don't worry about platesnon the edge aligning. Only plates that go next to each other. The edge gets pulled in when the side pieces go on

It's a good idea. Definitely
I use the blue painters tape. it hold everything inplace till the back plate is installed and is easy to peal off. can also be reused.

It's a good idea to wrap the hands with electrical tape so they clamp but don't scratch the surface of the panels.
