Yes to the Mothership videos. For me, iIt doesn't even matter if the looks are repeats; you are so good at explaining stuff that it's always worth listening. And one often sees comments that the palettes are scary and hard to use/wear - but you generally do looks that most people wouldn't be afraid to leave the house in 😊 I think it would be valuable. ❤
I would watch you do you entire Pat series all over love you passion for the brand. What if you use a random number generator to roll a wildcard shadow you must incorporate into your look from the same palette or a different palette.
Glad to have you back! For Black Friday I made a completely unplanned order from Pat at 50%off! I got Nude Nocturne, I believe you have it, it is so so gorgeous, similar to Velvet Sorcery but a bit warmer. First time I am trying this formula, it is so soft, so easily glides on the lips and last well! Also got Skinsane to test the Blitztrance formula (cool mauve with gold sheen) and it is moisturising and a unique colour for my collection. And lastly one Bronze-blush+highlight trio in Fleurever nude which at £26 was so worth it, very happy with all of it ❤
That's an awesome haul! Yes Nude Nocturne is going to rank as one of my most favourite purchases this year. I am so glad I bought it. Pat's mattetrance is actually really solid.
I hope Mariam does this series and as an eternal Subliminal fanatic I’d like to submit my unsolicited opinion and say that out of all the Motherships Ive tried/have it is definitely the easiest to get softer, everyday types of looks for sure! It is more neutral than Divine Rose and more unique than Sunlit Seduction (ones I would consider other ‘approachable’ offerings in the Mothership line)
Lewk? Love. Complexion? Airbrushed (again). Flawless. Motherships? YASSSS. And Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I went NUTS, knowing I’m going to be on a low-buy/no-buy all next year to make up for this year, where I replaced all of my old, janky make-up with top shelf things I’ll enjoy until they go rotten (or I do 😂). Last night was my last purchase, the baked gelee (inspired by you!) Lancôme Louvres palette from Lisa Eldridge-it was 35% off at Macy’s, so that was the piece (imagine the accent grave, I’m too lazy to hunt for it to type it in) de resistance for me. Thanks for another gorgeous video to savor, Lovely Mariam! ❤
Thank you babe!! You are so sweet! Wait, you are going on a no- low buy??? That is gonna be hard, Ok when you get that palette, please let me know if the formula is indeed baked gelee, because. Claudia mentioned that it actually isn't. Apparently, it is more of a cream to powder...? You gotta let me know!!!
@mariam.a. I think the low-buy part of it was me knowing I wasn’t going to be able to do a no-buy. 😂 I went no-buy a few years ago and made it until the summer. I think where I got into issues this year was buying makeup just to have something of quality to buy, which is the wrong mindset. I’ve never been fully entrenched in the beauty community, but have become so, and the allure of a beautiful formula, interesting finish, etc. has become too tantalizing to ignore! Definitely need to step back and thoughtfully look at my whole collection now before considering a new purchase. My tastes in makeup have also changed dramatically, so my old stuff doesn’t really fit who I am anymore (all cool tones, which make me look 💀), so have now been getting into warm colors and bronzes, grungy greens, golds, things I pretty much avoided heretofore! As for the palette, I wasn’t really interested when it came out, though I saw Charlotte Holdcroft’s video on it and she made it look gorgeous. But seeing it so marked down, knowing Lisa was behind it (goddess!!!), and knowing that I am rocking more warm tones these days made me bite the bullet. Shame about the baked gelee, serves me right taking what I read on Reddit as gospel. 😆 I’m not sure if I would know the difference, to be honest, as I’m still wrapping my head around the differences in formula!
Hello, Mariam! Nice to have you back😊I love the idea of “10 days-10 Mothership palettes”. During Black Friday sales, I grabbed some Colourpop items that I have been wanting for a while, as well as some restocks. Also, I bought a few Rephr and BK Beauty brushes for the first time. I also bought 3 blushes from Cult Beauty (Westman Atelier, Saie and Danessa Myricks) to try! And finally, I bought a Charlotte Tilbury Mystery Box plus some makeup from her website. I think it is accurate to say that I went way overboard!!😬
Yes, Please, Mothership videos! I'll be watching! Love your makeup look, as always! For Black Friday (or other sales), I only shop for my refills and products I've been wanting to try.
I haven't bought a single makeup item for myself this Black Friday. Can you imagine? Only a Mothership for my friend's birthday. But I bought a few hiking clothes for myself instead, which I actually needed. I think you will love the Hourglass palette. I got the Dragon one when it launched, and it is perfection.
It’s been a while since I could watch and it was nice to be back! I did no shopping for cyber Monday and got a few items on BF that I’ve had on my list for a while. A few lip balms/oils and one of the Laura Mercier Caviar eye shadow sticks. Should be arriving soon. 😊
I bought a re up of rephr. Brushes, brush soap and their moisturiser. I also bought some stuff from one of Australia’s online retailers that has the best sales (adore beauty) Bought some expensive skincare (medik8), fixing spray (kryolan) , perfume (Juliette has a fun) and lip liners (Mac and make up for ever) and my Mac eye primer. Just the essentials. Also some shoes and gifts! I love Black Friday because it’s right after my birthday. Perfect timing
Hi Mariam. Look forward to hearing your take on the CT Popshot; your reviews are always special. I love my Hourglass Elephant palette (got it for half price in Douglas' bargain basement). I can use all the colours and it's all I need for a full face, since I can use the bronzer as eyeshadow (I don't use bronzer per se at all 😂). I was doing so well resisting the sales (PC, SVR, G&G, Colibri...) but Douglas got me in the end. Some for my teenage daughter. (And I'm not letting on about the proportion 😂) Always good to see you. Byee
@mariam.a. I mostly got reduced skincare - like the VitC and EGF serum from The Inkey List. I used that last year and thought my skin looked particularly good, but was using NIOD's CAIS2, too then, so I chose the cheaper of the two, to run the experiment of which was so good 😉 I'll let you know 😊. The most expensive was an eye cream from Kiehl's. A 14 (sic) gramme pot for 40€. It had better be as good as the saleslady claimed! And I got my teenager the TirTir foundation. I'm very loyal to Douglas. It was here when I moved to Germany (Sephora is much newer) and it was started by a Brit, hence the name. All the best, Anne
@mariam.a. I got mostly skincare, stuff I've had my eye on. I got my daughter the TirTir foundation. Biggest ticket was an eye cream: in a fourteen ml pot. 14ml? Shrinkflation! It had better be as good as the saleslady said 😂
Morning! Oh yes, Mothership videos!!! That's a really lovely look! I like cool toned ones on you. I'm curious if you like the CT eyeshadow. I honestly hope you're going to love Rose Topaz. I love it! No damage done during the Black Week 😊
I purchased the Pat holliday collection and some comfortable shoes (this store never has sales). I had some VBB on my wishlist but don’t need it so I held myself and postponed it to some next sale ☺️
I also bought a Tom Ford quad - the new black Diamond one. It was on sale at Nordstrom. And I got last year’s mothership on sale too. I am wearing pink more this winter so I gave in and got it.
Hmmm I think I missed this new TF quad because I. have no idea what it is. I hope you will enjoy the mothership. I remain untempted (is that a word? 🤣 )by it.
I really love the Hourglass palette. The blushes are not all pink…one is a swirl one with peachy red that is gorgeous. The strobe is light enough that with a light hand blended with the ambient powder works great for me
I like the highlighter a lot (also mixed with the ambient lighting powder), but on my cheeks those pinks are gonna look the same. I can guarantee you that noone will ever see the subtle difference.
I absolutely lost my head during the Surratt Black Friday sale. They had 40% off and I’ve always been so curious about the brand and couldn’t resist at 40%. I splurged on their brushes. 😩 Also bought some Chantecaille at 30% off - their rose face tint and their shadows. I absolutely love the mothership idea ❤️ I really love grwm using older favorites!
Haha well from what I hear Surrat is pricy so 40% off is a steal. I love them too, we already have SO much beautiful things we should not let them rot in our drawers unloved.
I’ve had Westman Atelier products that basically went off the moment they left the store, and the customer service couldn’t care less. So they’re an absolute no for me, and I try to avoid clean beauty as much as possible anyway. It’s all a scam, I want parabens back 😭
After Bobmindset listed the Revlon Prismatic eyeshadow palettes as baked gelee from Italy, I bought all six😊. (Plus the Prismatic highlighter & bronzer). ❤
I bought nothing this year for Black Friday. I'm kinda embarrassed that it was as hard on me as it was. A bit "white-knuckling" through the past two weeks, but I'm proud that I made it through! My bank account truly cannot afford me spending on nonessentials right now, and I have lots of gorgeous makeup already. Really glad that sale season is behind me!😅
I don't use regularly at home the hourglass palette ( i have the Elephant and the light one from 2021) but when i travel...is the first thing that i pack.
I got one of the patrick ta duos, restocked on the CT wand in spotlight, got the two multichrome quads by linda hallberg, a couple of rephr brushes (and some as a present for my mom), and a nice wool jumper. Also a yesstyle order. I had also planned for a viseart palette and some more highlighters, then thought of placing a colourpop order but decided to do it later in the new year... I had budgeted for all of that and more but felt weird spending the entire years budget even if i saved it for this reason. Jumper is part birthday present so i think it's justified. 😂 Love the mothership vid idea, hope it happens!
@mariam.a. I didn't find them that expensive for what they are, plus i got it on a discount which was great. Excited to see what they're like in real life, but I'm pretty sure it's going on every trip with me in the next few years!
Love the Path mothership idea! I was wondering how the formulas age, is it worth buying a mothership I. palette in 2024/25 or are other brands more advanced (matte formulas especially). I could never get tired of this topic in different interpretations:)
My oldest one is from 2018 and I can't say that I have noticed much if any difference. Her formulas have evolved since then so they feel different but not because they are older.
You did so well showing restraint during Black Friday sales😅 I did my best not to buy anything unplanned (the only unplanned purchased was Snuggs period underwear that |I was intending to try but not yet, but they were 50% off), but I did a lot of damage as I bought lots of Christmas presents, skincare for next year, some makeup repurchases, and a few new makeup items too 😶🌫
@@mariam.a. I got some Suqqu products (an eye quad a lipstick, and a blush), another YSL quad in Over Noir, the green eye pencil from Victoria Beckham along with one of their eyeshadow sticks, Lancome Taupe Craze Palette and a gold single shadow from NARS ("for travel") think that was it.. 😅
Mariam, I love your approach to make up videos as I am into having conversations about thought processes in buying them or the fact that we are both not a fan of clean beauty due to their quicker expiration date. What’s your experience with VB beauty? I have just gotten her bronzer brick during 20% sale but a bit worried about it goes off quickly than my other powder bronzer since VB is also considered as a clean beauty. Thanks so much for your calming videos ❤
Don’t worry! Victoria knows what she is doing, and the bronzing brick is one of her best products! Everything I have is still as good as new and I enjoy it very much. 🥰 Hope that helps!
Oh I build a basket on cultbeauty because 30% off was a huuuuge temptation but I absolutely don’t need anything and I need my money for a new car so I’m quite proud of myself for only buying my favourite waterproof eyeliners from GOSH CHP for 12 euros and an oil cleanser from Babor for 20 euros 🎉🎉🎉 well I bought al of our Christmas presents too but that doesn’t count 😂😂
After being on my wish list for a few years I bought the Celestial divinity quad. The shade hypnotic is the most beautiful blue ever. For Westman Atelier, I have the contour stick in Biscuit and even though it is expired it still works and no smell. The blushes are too dry for me. Same for the concealer and foundation. The concealer is great but I need to wear a tiny bit and over a super hydrated skin. The products don’t wow me especially for the eye watering price
I was looking for some time on Rituel de fille site for the Cultist eyeshadow... which was sold out all the time but i've got it on Black Friday from Cult Beauty 🤣 and got few brushes from Rephr ( 2 as Christmas present for a friend) and that's all my black Friday shopping list 😅
@mariam.a. well.. with the discounts that retailers are applying... doesn't worth to wait Black Friday when they have similar % once every 2-3 months ( Douglas, Sephora).
Now you made me feel like I need to go sniff all my cream products! I really didn't know that a crayon smell was bad or wrong... fingers x'd that I don't have to do a major dump I really am going to put myself on a no buy/low buy for next year. I need to use up a lot of what I already have which is way too much for a 63 year old woman! At least my granddaughter likes my declutter items
Well bad in the sense that it indicates things have headed South. Rancid would be your cue to toss 🤣. Hahah that just means you have a seasoned collection and lucky granddaughters.
I did take advantage to get things I have really been wanting. Some of it was luggage and other clothing items as well as new carbon steel pans. As to makeup I got: Mario’s palette. I just love getting cool toned palettes. Ravie beauty new blushes. They are baked and really wanted to try them RMS got another shade of the blush, the bronzer and highlighter Hindash new highlighters Cliodhnah new bundle and new palette. I really love their multi chromes..like you like the PML special shades I also got bundles at discount of my favorite skincare…n’but just what i needed in the near future. Not too bad Merit stick foundation, mascara and blush I had already gotten a ton of Chanel winter collection in a special promotion …my Chanel lady takes great care of me.
I don’t do declutter videos anymore because I don’t declutter a lot and the few things I do move out, usually happens immediately. If something went bad, I bin it. Otherwise I immediately offer it to a friend who might enjoy it more.
Most of my purchases were not needed. I got the PML luminous legends at Ulta with a discount from my points. 30% off I got the Natasha Denona my dream and I need a warm. I’ve talked myself out of dream palette since release but decided why not try it. I saw reviews that warm one isn’t extreme warm but more mid tone neutral leaning warms which sounds exciting especially on sale. Ole Henrickson lip peptide 4 pack lip treatment, this was most needed as lips are terribly dry and I am 1/2 done with the orange one I bought innSeptember. I was in Seattle and swatched the pop shots almost got Smokey quartz and purple one but they were sold out. Then I talked myself out of purchasing smokey quartz and getting 15 shades instead in a Natasha palette for only $20 more than one pop shot…then it turned into 2 palettes.
@ I actually have only worn luminous legends so far. In person it’s totally different than review swatches I was happily surprised to see the tones in person. That top right color stardust peony looks burgundy online but in person it’s this interesting warm/neutral undertone with red sparkles. I did a fabulous look yesterday with celestial cerulean and platinum lilac. Went neutral today with gilded bronze and stardust peony sparkles on top. I was not expecting to love the luminous legends as much as I do. I only got the Natasha ones in the mail yesterday so I’ll wear that over the weekend.
Yes to the motherships!! I just bought Midnight Sun in the PMG BF sale (which brings my mothership collection to 5) and I have been defaulting to Olde Faithfuls Vega and Mothership I so much I need an incentive to get out of my comfort zone. Speaking of, I caved and bought a lot (for me) from PMG: Midnight Sun, Luminous Legends, a highlighter (Lunar Allure), a gloss (Astral Moon Flower), the under eye powder and one of the tinted lip balm vinyl things (Temptress). I knew I'd buy a couple of things, but I wasn't expecting to be quite so seduced by 40% off! I feel like I 'should' be guilty but I actually feel fine... everything except the new LL palette had been on my list for 6-12 months, so it didn't feel all that impulsive.
@@mariam.a. thank you Mariam!! I'm so excited too -- that bottom row of Midnight Sun in particular is going to earn its keep, and Luminous Legends will be perfect for office holiday parties .
I have evil eye as well! I love everything but the bronzer and the finishing powder. I just prefer dim light and luminous light. I know for next time that that’s a deal breaker for me. I need a finishing powder i like. But in Australia they sold out within hours in store and online at our retailer Mecca. (Like Sephora US very luxury but no sales). So I got mine from cult beauty for $30AUD more. Oh well. I’ll force myself to use it
Meant to comment on Westman Atelier…some of my cream products are now at least 3 years and counting and they are fine. I also have the powders which are beautiful, if hard to open sometimes. I agree about Milk makeup…I love a lot of their products but they go bad so quickly. There are some exceptions that I use a lot. Also started buying the minis. Same with Kosas. I really like the products but even the powder seems to degrade quickly. So no more One company that I have issues with is Tom Ford. The lipsticks go bad so quickly. I tried the new formula to replace my beloved Casablanca and it seems to be going bad. That is why I love the old standbys…I have very old Chanel lipsticks and they are fine.
!!!Hi!!! 😄 Wow, your first Hourglass, ok ok. I understand your reasoning, but I’m still impressed. I have many of those palettes because I fell in love with their blush formula so many years ago. Initially I was happy with my 3- and 4-pan blush-only palettes, but after they started adding beautiful artwork, I started throwing $ at them. 🤭 I was moments away from getting the Evil Eye palette this year, but showed restraint for once. I do hope you enjoy it. The description of what I *did* buy is being sent to you via a different comment! 💝 Until then, 🤗
I managed to just buy the Commodity perfumes I mentioned... the post managed to get it to me today on the 4th attempt. I'm not doing anymore online shopping now this year, it is too unreliable and I am not waiting in 4 days for a delivery. Off to TK Maxx tomorrow so can't promise to be good 😂
@@mariam.a. haha summat like that 🤣 mostly candles for gifts and some for me, some skincare sets for gifts and I bought Adam some chocolate truffles because I decided to buy myself a huge panettone with tiramisu cream filling. And no, I have not saved it for Christmas 🤤
Even if they are “clean” beauty, I feel that WA preserve their products quite well, I have their cream bronzer for over a year and it still performs well, doesn’t smell weird. Milk is the worst, I receive one of their blushes in a cult bag and I threw it away after one use…it smelled so bad…and I feel that saie and tower 28 are the same
WA is clean beauty. I had their bronzer get all dried up quickly but the other products I have tried lasted without issue for years. I do not like their lipsticks at all, btw.

Yes love 10 days of motherships!! ❤️

Been eyeing Mothership 1 Subliminal and would love to see a softer everyday look out of it as I’ve only ever seen people create deeper smokier looks.

I don't use regularly at home the hourglass palette ( i have the Elephant and the light one from 2021) but when i travel...is the first thing that i pack.
I think the palette will be excellent for traveling!
Love the mothership vid idea, hope it happens!
I am super curious about the PT duos, not so much to buy them but because of all the outrage. 🤣
You did so well showing restraint during Black Friday sales😅 I did my best not to buy anything unplanned (the only unplanned purchased was Snuggs period underwear that |I was intending to try but not yet, but they were 50% off), but I did a lot of damage as I bought lots of Christmas presents, skincare for next year, some makeup repurchases, and a few new makeup items too 😶🌫
You will not regret the Snuggs, I have been reborn since I started using them. What new items did you buy...do tell!!!???
there wont be a day we have seen enough PML, especially from you Mariam. Bring it on pls
🥰♥️
@ Thanks so much for your answer x
Oh I build a basket on cultbeauty because 30% off was a huuuuge temptation but I absolutely don’t need anything and I need my money for a new car so I’m quite proud of myself for only buying my favourite waterproof eyeliners from GOSH CHP for 12 euros and an oil cleanser from Babor for 20 euros 🎉🎉🎉 well I bought al of our Christmas presents too but that doesn’t count 😂😂
You really flexed this restraint muscles!!💪
After being on my wish list for a few years I bought the Celestial divinity quad. The shade hypnotic is the most beautiful blue ever. For Westman Atelier, I have the contour stick in Biscuit and even though it is expired it still works and no smell. The blushes are too dry for me. Same for the concealer and foundation. The concealer is great but I need to wear a tiny bit and over a super hydrated skin. The products don’t wow me especially for the eye watering price
Well what a coincidence that I am wearing Hypnotic today and loving it! Did you try Golden Polaris!!???
@ yes and I looove it. I watched your videos on the quad twice then swatched it sooo many times. It is a real treat and just mesmerizing.
@@ceciliamilanesi2674 YAY!!! I would re-purchase the whole thing just for Golden Polaris.
Your list was very modest!
@mariam.a. well.. with the discounts that retailers are applying... doesn't worth to wait Black Friday when they have similar % once every 2-3 months ( Douglas, Sephora).
@@cristinalungu5157 SO true!!!
Rancid would be your cue to toss
🤣.
Hahah that just means you have a seasoned collection and lucky granddaughters.
I did take advantage to get things I have really been wanting. Some of it was luggage and other clothing items as well as new carbon steel pans.
As to makeup I got:
Mario’s palette. I just love getting cool toned palettes.
Ravie beauty new blushes. They are baked and really wanted to try them
RMS got another shade of the blush, the bronzer and highlighter
Hindash new highlighters
Cliodhnah new bundle and new palette. I really love their multi chromes..like you like the PML special shades
I also got bundles at discount of my favorite skincare…n’but just what i needed in the near future.
Not too bad
Merit stick foundation, mascara and blush
I had already gotten a ton of Chanel winter collection in a special promotion …my Chanel lady takes great care of me.
Haha you got a lot!!
@@mariam.a.I did but I have been saving all my purchases in purpose
Have you ever considered doing a makeup declutter? I would watch it.😊
I don’t do declutter videos anymore because I don’t declutter a lot and the few things I do move out, usually happens immediately.
Wow! 3 palettes! You did well. Now that question is: which one is best?? Which one are you enjoying the most?
@ I actually have only worn luminous legends so far. In person it’s totally different than review swatches I was happily surprised to see the tones in person. That top right color stardust peony looks burgundy online but in person it’s this interesting warm/neutral undertone with red sparkles. I did a fabulous look yesterday with celestial cerulean and platinum lilac. Went neutral today with gilded bronze and stardust peony sparkles on top. I was not expecting to love the luminous legends as much as I do. I only got the Natasha ones in the mail yesterday so I’ll wear that over the weekend.
@@vjean04 I am happy you are enjoying Luminous Legends. I really am too!!
Report back on the ND palettes too later! I am curious.
I am SO excited for all the glorious Pat makeup you bought!! Have an awesome time playing with them.
Midnight Sun ♥️♥️♥️🥰
@@mariam.a. thank you Mariam!! I'm so excited too -- that bottom row of Midnight Sun in particular is going to earn its keep, and Luminous Legends will be perfect for office holiday parties
.
Oh well. I’ll force myself to use it
Ohh why do you dislike the bronzer? I agree, I prefer to pick my own ambient lighting. I will primarily use the one in the palette as a mixer.
@ I prefer it as a mixer as well. It’s just too neutral for me. I prefer a warm bronzer
Also on the PML site in Australia, Pat isn’t going her regular sale!! Only select items. Really disappointed. I was ready to re up
Pat’s BF sale was really weak sauce this year!! I was hoping for cyber monday lipstick sale..nothing. 😢
@@mariam.a. in Australia she only had a cyber Monday sale. For only a week! Like so disappointed
So no more
One company that I have issues with is Tom Ford. The lipsticks go bad so quickly. I tried the new formula to replace my beloved Casablanca and it seems to be going bad.
That is why I love the old standbys…I have very old Chanel lipsticks and they are fine.
How interesting my Tom Ford lipsticks are over 5y old and still fine.
Otherwise, no clean beauty for me please. 😂
@@mariam.a.I get it. I am mostly into my luxury brands that are not even close 😂
@@isabelab6851 I am going to smell my TF lipsticks now just in case LOL
!!!Hi!!! 😄
Wow, your first Hourglass, ok ok.
💝 Until then, 🤗
Yes after many years of restraint I finally caved. I am enjoying Evil Eye and the video will be up tomorrow.
Can’t wait to read it!! 🥰
I managed to just buy the Commodity perfumes I mentioned... the post managed to get it to me today on the 4th attempt. I'm not doing anymore online shopping now this year, it is too unreliable and I am not waiting in 4 days for a delivery. Off to TK Maxx tomorrow so can't promise to be good 😂
Sooo what happened at tk maxx?? Or is is a what happens in tk maxx stays in tk maxx kind of situation?? 😂
@@mariam.a. haha summat like that 🤣 mostly candles for gifts and some for me, some skincare sets for gifts and I bought Adam some chocolate truffles because I decided to buy myself a huge panettone with tiramisu cream filling. And no, I have not saved it for Christmas 🤤
@@ems_h.eartnotes I love what you bought!! I also love buying candles in tk. I hope you devoured that panettone.
@@mariam.a. i'm working my way through it 🤣
Even if they are “clean” beauty, I feel that WA preserve their products quite well, I have their cream bronzer for over a year and it still performs well, doesn’t smell weird. Milk is the worst, I receive one of their blushes in a cult bag and I threw it away after one use…it smelled so bad…and I feel that saie and tower 28 are the same
Haha exactly why I don’t do clean brands anymore.
WA is clean beauty. I had their bronzer get all dried up quickly but the other products I have tried lasted without issue for years. I do not like their lipsticks at all, btw.
Good to know!! Thanks a lot!!
