Chinatown is truly a unique place and experience.
We are really looking forward to getting back to Montreal and trying some more restaurants in Chinatown. It really is a great neighbourhood :)
The food looks soooo delicious I can't wait to get there soon.
Haha, we really enjoyed eating our way through Chinatown.
Good video guys!! I never realized how cool Chinatown was before!! 🙌🏽
Hi Miguel, thanks for watching! It's not only really cool, it's got some really great food :)
Oh yummy, I love dim sum. I think we have been to that dim sim restaurant too, I remember it very good. Those pastries looked so good! All the food looked amazing. Now I’m hungry! Thanks for the great video guys!
We live just a short walk to Chinatown, so we'll be able to go back there often. We really love dim sum too and that place was very good. Cheers :)
Hola amigos!! We absolutely loved this video. The food looks amazing we are now wanting dim sum. Keep em coming much love from Mexico
The food was so good, and the great part is that Chinatown is within walking distance of our place :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel We would be in food heaven there
Awesome video guys, I need to check out Canada sometime soon. Looks like a fun place to visit
Montreal is a really fun city! We've only been here a few months, but we absolutely love it. You should check it out if you get the chance. Thanks for watching Jose :)
The food all looks delicious, Yum Yum!
The food was really delicious! Thank you for watching :)
Great video! Those dumplings looked amazing!
The dumplings were the best we've ever had!
Had to subscribe after watching this video. Great job!
Hi Brandon, thanks so much for watching and subscribing, we really appreciate it! Cheers :)
Excellent video!
Thank you for watching Lili :)
Wow looks but some items are expensive! Will definitely try the dumplings ❤
Those dumplings are amazing, and we still dream of them lol. Thank you for watching :)
Need to visit!
For sure, you would love it!
Wow, those deserts looked real good and fresh! Also, that's so cool to see them making those noodles as well. Looks fun out there in Montreal.
Montreal has so many great restaurants, it can be hard to choose lol. All the food we tried was amazing and we'll definitely be going back for more.
They make them not only each day, but several times a day. They time their trays like that, so it's always fresh. One of the only nice places that survived the pandemic. A BBQ bun is about $3 and it's a meal.
Down side of working from home now, the office is 3 minutes away from Chinatown and all its tasty pleasures
Haha, temptation is too close to you. We were down there the other day and ate way too many dumplings. Cheers :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel There is no such things as too many dumplings
Awesome video share and channel here guys well done
See you again all the best stay safe and healthy cheers 👍👍
We really appreciate you checking us out! Cheers :)

Thank you for watching :)
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching :)
I'm watching Sir..
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it :)
Omg.. you ate the whole day long. That'd be too much for me! Haha food looks delicious though.
Yes we did eat a lot of food, but it wasn't all in one day lol. We had a lot of fun in Chinatown and all of the food was really delicious! Thank you for watching :)
I developed a real fondness for Restaurant Vip (1077 Rue Clark) in Montreal's Chinatown thirty years ago. At the time they were open till well past 3am, they had good prices, big portions and among the best General Tao's chicken in the city. They are also the sort of restaurant that employs the same people for decades, which says something to me about the relationships that exist in the establishment. I've been there only a handful of times in the last decade, and they still remember who I am.
The economy has changed a lot since Covid, they now close at 11pm, their prices are higher, though still lower than most. Their quality and portion sizes have not changed. Neither has their decor or staff. 😉
We'll have to keep Restaurant VIP in mind for the next time we're in Montreal. It sounds like it must be really well run to continue in business for so many years. Especially after the struggles that all businesses went through during covid. Thank you for watching, and for the recommendation :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel Well, if you are taking suggestions... I don't think you folks have yet been to Cafe Santropol (3990 Rue Saint-Urbain). The place opened in 1976 originally as I recall as a non-profit, proceeds of the restaurant going to fund a meals on wheels program they also ran. I started frequenting there back when I was myself an impoverished hippy in the 70s.
It is an utterly charming, hippy utopia with a gorgeous outdoor dining garden as well as interior. The food is outrageous sandwiches, great soups and the like, all for fairly reasonable prices. Some of my best romantic memories are associated with this place. Very much worth the visit.
We have been to Cafe Santropol a few times and love it Their back terrace is so beautiful in the summer time, and the sandwiches are huge. We also had an amazing carrot cake there, that was to die for! We do have it in one of our videos, I think it was the best patios video. It's definitely a favourite!@@panpiper
@@TakeTimeToTravel Missed that one I guess. I'll take a look. 😉
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
:)
Very cute
Thanks so much :)
love from China.....In China, many young people, people in love, like to go to such places.. It always looks very prosperous, lively and full of life, in Changsha, Chengdu, Shanghai and Hong Kong....chinese love the food and atmosphere... If there were more Chinese here, it would be more lively and energetic. 😄 goodvibes
Thank you very much for watching, and for your kind words! We do enjoy heading over to Chinatown for some great food :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel ua-cam.com/video/Mz1h1QbUjKo/v-deo.html, This is the most beautiful place in China and the best video display
Cooking Craze
Deserts looked yummy. I absolutely love custard but prefer egg.Absolutely love pork. I would have gotten the 3meat special. How can it be considered a Special without a soda?? [ not a special to me ] Think I saw a Diet Coke that Andy had. Yum noodles. Winner hands down for me was the pork dumplings. How was the lamb?? Was it shredded OR in pieces?? Absolutely Outstanding
Thank you for watching, and for your kind words, we really appreciate it! We always enjoy exploring new places to eat, and Montreal's Chinatown is no exception. Our favourite would probably be the dumplings, and we went back there quite a few times lol. The lamb was shredded up and was very tasty. The noodles were also really delicious. Thanks again, and cheers from Vancouver :)
Great work guys, which Chinatown is your favourite between Montreal and Victoria?
Hmmm, that's a tough one, but I think Montreal's Chinatown is bigger and has more restaurants to choose from. They both have great food :)
Vancouver! (I've been to all three and Vancouver is definitely the best imo :))
i hear the noodle factory is great too!
1018 Rue Saint-Urbain, Montréal, QC H2Z 1K6, Canada
Thanks for the recommendation, we'll have to give it a try.
@@TakeTimeToTravel I Hear Montreal Quebec is So Beautiful!
You should go to some Vietnamese restaurants, I heard they are awesome in Montreal.
Yes, we have tried some banh mi in Montreal and they were delicious. We'll have to try some more Vietnamese restaurants because we do love the food :)
Imperial Restaurant is no longer open. They have relocated to the suburbs in Brossard.
Yes, that's too bad that they have moved. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Thanks for sharing, great video, but if you can list the names of the restaurant / places in the vlog or description would be nice.
Thank you for watching! We've added a list of the restaurants in the description now. Cheers :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel thanks, you are so kind. I am going to Montreal soon, so I will definitely check out those places.
I m in montral
That's great! Montreal is a wonderful city, and we hope to get back there soon. Thank you for watching :)

@@TakeTimeToTravel cool thank you
The dim sum is really reasonable price for two people.
We thought it was a good price too, and it was really tasty! Thanks for watching :)
Rainbow Kite
Thank you for watching :)
Unfortunately Imperial is getting evicted - landlord wants to build condos. However they do have a new location in Brossard!
The other alternative is Restaurant Kim Fung, which offers the old time dim sum carts, so you can see what you want before ordering.
It's in the same building as Dobe and Andy.
Oh geez, well that's too bad. Any recommendation for other good Dim Sum places in Chinatown?
That's really too bad. The dim sum place looked pretty good and I was hoping to go there my next time in Montreal. Maybe they'll open another place in or around Chinatown.
PS - I just checked their website. It looks like they've reopened at a new location a bit to the west. The old location was on St Laurent and the new address on the website is 1632 Boul. De Maisonneuve.
Hi! do you think i can go to Montreal just speaking english? I'm planning to study there but i don't speak french, do you think i'll need to learn it?
I don't think you should have any problem just speaking English. It seems like most people in the city speak English quite well. Thanks for watching :)
@@TakeTimeToTravel Thank you!!
I Love gift card
Quels sont les meilleurs moments pour visiter le quartier chinois de Montréal ?
We would definitely recommend visiting Montreal's Chinatown in the summer time. It's quite beautiful to walk the streets on a nice day when there are some vendors set up outside, and some small patios along the sidewalk. Thank you for watching :)
I JUST SAW L.A'S CHINATOWN AND EVEN AT NIGHT NOT A SOUL??!!
Wow, that's too bad! We love exploring the Chinatown's in different cities, as they are usually quite busy and vibrant areas, and of course, have great food. Thanks for watching :)
ngon
The food was really tasty! Thanks for watching :)

no eggrolls? have to have eggrolls!!!
There was so many great choices to eat, we just couldn't try it all lol. We do love eggrolls too, and of course spring rolls. Thanks for watching :)
Isn’t chinatown in the rise of gru?
Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it! I think the Chinatown in the movie was San Francisco, but I'm not sure. Cheers :)
I'm not beast in a cage to come and look
Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it.
Everything looks great except for the hot dog thing. They are too fatty for me.
The hot dogs from Chung Chun tasted great, although they were a little messy lol.
Wow … Montreal’s Chinatown is WAAAY better than the shitty New York version.
We really enjoyed Montreal's Chinatown, and we did find some really tasty food there! Thanks for watching :)
Are you guys dad and son ?
Haha, no we're a couple. Thanks for watching :)
Montreal chinatown is run-down and depressing.
That's too bad, as we really loved wandering through Chinatown and eating in the restaurants. Cheers :)
chinese food in Montreal are absolutely terrible - In Canada Vancouver has best, Toronto comes #2, Calgary#3, Edmonton / Montreal would be sharing the #4.
We were able to find some great food in Montreal's Chinatown! We've also enjoyed the food in the Chinatowns in Victoria, Vancouver and Toronto. We haven't tried Calgary or Edmonton yet, but hopefully we'll get a chance some time. Thanks for watching :)
