Well the original intent behind the development of Half Life 2 was to strive to make it as real as possible while also making it immersive, which is why Valve was the most innovative developers of their time. Sadly that spark faded away, but it's great seeing these guys have that same spirit and determination Valve once had, and it's beautfiul! I'm glad they understand the importance of utilizing realism which was an important element in Half Life's charm

The half life community from what I’ve seen in gmod, has some very talented people that can make some amazing stuff. Large projects, especially this large, are just rare to be started.

We then parallized the calculation loop onto all available cores on the CPU and optimized caching. At it's current stage, in realism mode, which is the highest performance cost by far compared to other modes we have, we can simulate 100.000 triangles and still get 60 FPS. I was even able to get 50FPS simulating 200.000 triangles on my i7-4790. And yes, we also use hardware(GPU) acceleration for planar projection and other vector math.

Watch the previous video. They are specifically making a dynamic audio system based on materials and proximity. This is why there is so much reverb on the audio. The simulations are in small areas.

I’ve worked in Unreal for a long time and I can’t tell if these are precalculated damageables, real-time shattering or some type of voxel implementation. Absolutely amazing work.
Right now, with Black Mesa Xen and Project Borealis in the media, I sort of have renewed hope in the future of half life. Valve isn't necessarily needed.

But also getting to there had been blockade by many combine on the road and needed to dealt with. So, my guess the game will even much longer than Half-life 2 and it's episodic combine together to make one whole new experience that won't be forgotten. Despite, it make by fans.
I guess if you really could generate zero-point-energy fields there's no reason to think they would only affect one object at a time but it still looks odd to see all those shapes moving about at once.

I hate to go out on too much of a limb, but we have to keep in mind this is just a Source Engine game. At best, it is a rugged implementation of something similar to Digital Molecular Matter, which was a popular around 2010 and was used in a few games such as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Unfortunately that sorta thing isn't really suited for large scale destruction. But hey, I hope I'm wrong and we get to enjoy some awesome large-scale environmental destruction.

Как по мне - это не канонично. Да, она могла притягивать множество объектов, но крутить, вертеть их в воздухе было невозможно. У нее не такое большое гравитационное поле для таких манипуляций. Даже синяя гравитационная пушка (забыл точное название) не могла так манипулировать объектами, не то что уж обычная. Плюс они почему то не притягивались к самой пушке. Это очень странное изменение в геймплее. В остальном, как я уже говорил, - все на высочайшем уровне! Поведение объектов на ветре - класс! Разрушение объектов - топчег! Жду новых демонстраций! And if so, does it work according to the type of damage and the damage time they receive? - Are objects in general burned or electrocuted imitating real life, for example: you burn a large wooden object and it is consumed slowly or quickly depending on the fire and its density, or will it be like in the Half-life 2 series Where everything burns or is electrocuted and leaves no damage marks except exceptions and also does not flow as they do in real physics? - Will there be other weapons besides those we already know of the Half-Life 2 series, new, old, unexpected, unique, and so on. ... and what will they be? - Can we handle objects and perform new and more realistic actions, or will it be like in Half-Life 2 too? I mean, there will be more interaction with the environment and the objects in general that surround you. Example: There is a computer with several buttons, but I must only (and can) execute only one action to use it, or when I see an enemy, I can only perform certain actions to kill it or when they hold an object, suppose, a wooden plank, no I can use it temporarily as a weapon or something. It is a little awkward when a huge chunk of glass is still standing by one small point. I wonder if there is any way to prevent that.

Holy shit. The air resistance is so subtle but I noticed it for sure. That's incredible. Pretty sure Valve would be proud of that attention to detail... If Valve were still Valve.

I called the Chronicles of Boreails. Because, the location is probably not just the ship itself. But also getting to there had been blockade by many combine on the road and needed to dealt with. So, my guess the game will even much longer than Half-life 2 and it's episodic combine together to make one whole new experience that won't be forgotten. Despite, it make by fans.

The HK USP match only holds 12 rounds.
I guess if you really could generate zero-point-energy fields there's no reason to think they would only affect one object at a time but it still looks odd to see all those shapes moving about at once.

I hate to go out on too much of a limb, but we have to keep in mind this is just a Source Engine game. At best, it is a rugged implementation of something similar to Digital Molecular Matter, which was a popular around 2010 and was used in a few games such as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Unfortunately that sorta thing isn't really suited for large scale destruction. But hey, I hope I'm wrong and we get to enjoy some awesome large-scale environmental destruction.

Все очень круто! Я очень рад, что разработка идет, а не стоит на месте! Пятое обновление просто бомба! Но все таки кое что мне в нем не понравилось и скорее всего вы это не измените:
1) Звуки гравитационной пушки: они какие то не такие, мне лично очень не нравятся. Пожалуйста, сделайте как в оригинале.
2) Анимация SPAS-12: Она какая то очень медленная и вялая. Мне не понравилась
3) Способность гравитационной пушки притягивать целые "шары" всякого хлама. Как по мне - это не канонично. Да, она могла притягивать множество объектов, но крутить, вертеть их в воздухе было невозможно. У нее не такое большое гравитационное поле для таких манипуляций. Даже синяя гравитационная пушка (забыл точное название) не могла так манипулировать объектами, не то что уж обычная. Плюс они почему то не притягивались к самой пушке. Это очень странное изменение в геймплее.
В остальном, как я уже говорил, - все на высочайшем уровне! Поведение объектов на ветре - класс! Разрушение объектов - топчег! Жду новых демонстраций! Удачи вам!

I have four questions that bother me a lot:
- The first is: Objects such as barrels, pieces of metal or plastic, stones, metal doors, wheels, cars, tables, chairs, bars, grilles, walls, ceilings or floors of buildings, bodies, light bulbs and a long etcetera, are destroyed with explosions or bullet impacts, with shocks or blows? Or not? And if so, does it work according to the type of damage and the damage time they receive?
- Are objects in general burned or electrocuted imitating real life, for example: you burn a large wooden object and it is consumed slowly or quickly depending on the fire and its density, or will it be like in the Half-life 2 series Where everything burns or is electrocuted and leaves no damage marks except exceptions and also does not flow as they do in real physics?
- Will there be other weapons besides those we already know of the Half-Life 2 series, new, old, unexpected, unique, and so on. ... and what will they be?
- Can we handle objects and perform new and more realistic actions, or will it be like in Half-Life 2 too? I mean, there will be more interaction with the environment and the objects in general that surround you. Example: There is a computer with several buttons, but I must only (and can) execute only one action to use it, or when I see an enemy, I can only perform certain actions to kill it or when they hold an object, suppose, a wooden plank, no I can use it temporarily as a weapon or something.
I wish you could answer me one day (which I doubt will happen) but I would be very glad if you could answer.
