- The plaintiff says he dated the defendant briefly and loaned her some money. She always had excuses for not repaying him, so he Googled her and found her mug shot. He’s suing this swindler to get his money back. The defendant says the plaintiff posted terrible things online about her and even called her child’s teacher. She’s countersuing for harassment and defamation.
Case #24-074
This was my high school math teacher 😂😂😂 he came to class & told us about the court case lol
That's cool....at first I thought he was a English or a History teacher. He seem like nice guy but need to be cautious .
Is he as nice in person like how he comes off in the show?
Such a sweetheart, I felt so bad for him.
I'm glad he got his money back n won his case.
Oh fr lol
What are the chances?? 😂
SHUT UP! 😮😮😮
I hate it when the person who has caused all the problems, loses and then says at the very end, 'I'm just glad it's all over', yet if they had paid up, it would have been all over instantly...
Or my favorite "it is what it is"
I think they were thinking they wouldn’t have to give anything and it’s on the other person to escalate it and even then there’s a chance they don’t have to pay if they somehow win
I know right?! They act like this whole thing was out of their hands when in fact, they caused the whole mess.
Correct!!
@@TheClimateChannel Well, they really don't have to pay anything when they loose; the production company pays the lawsuit.
I think it was sweet of him. She should have respected his kindness and paid back the money.
Judge Mathis would have put this guy up on the game. She was dry begging and he fell for it
He obviously is someone who rates people higher than money. The highest quality character trait in my book. 👍
Very cool guy
Idk what that means. Do you mean personality over wealth?
@@austenbrown9549 not personality, people. Human life!
@@austenbrown9549 what part of it is giving you trouble? It's pretty obvious what he/she means
There are good people in this world, he reminds us of that. She took advantage of that. I hope he continues to be the good man he is!!!
She literally takes accountability for nothing. People like that blow my mind. He was genuinely kind to her. Why would she try to file a restraining order against him when she can just pay that man back?
She's a user and has a chronic case of Perpetual Victim 🙄
@@carriepriegel6477 that's exactly like how my ex is
He should sue for abuse of process
They revert to restraint orders, in order to avoid paying men. Logic is; if he/she can’t see me, then I don’t owe them. Next, it was so long ago, that I thought it was a gift.
@@pjdurkin8582 Yep, my ex being one of them!!!!
He seems like a sweetheart, helping out someone he didn't even know. And it blew up in his face, which is sad. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be "nice"
I learned that the hardway too.
U dont know his ulterior movtive for "helping her out".
@@mtsula Some peoples only motive is to help... That's me, I get it!!!
@@mtsula what would it be if he was gay? Desperation?

Well he is gay, so it's wasn't about sex...
Then she changed his name in her phone to a slur. She should be ashamed of herself, but I doubt it.
Thank u and those laughing in the court room should be ashamed too.
Douchebag?
The judge should have made a much bigger deal about that. It is WRONG, and not funny.
She should be ashamed of herself!!
He is absolutely right when he said he hopes she's raising her daughter to be a better person than her!!
Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Very glad he got his money back!!
People like that have no shame. And I would be very suspicious of her Two Dead Kids in a Car Accident Claim.
Honestly. I love him. Hope he’s doing well and glad we caught a glimpse of him in this world. Need more people like him.
STRAIGHT FACTS THOUGH 🤞🏾👌🏾💪🏾💯💯💯
I want to take HIM out to lunch! ❤️
Amen.
@Barney Weiss mah heart!!!🖤 definitely made my day! Thank you!
@@Richie8a8y YES! It would be so nice if we all could pay for his meal and eat together
I really hope he doesn't find men the way he found this woman. He's going to get hurt if he isn't more careful.
I hope he never changes but learns from this experience. That said, it breaks my heart that her two children died in an accident. I think she seems nice contrary to public belief, but she doesn't look completely well in her head. She seems off, a little stupid, but not mean. A good guy like that must have seen something in her in the first place. If he did say that she's white trash, that's terrible. It's also bad that she tried to ghost him, but I still dont think she's a bad person. I feel for her. I hope she gets help. I noticed that she was zoning out quite a bit throughout the whole thing and is probably hiding a lot of hurt. I wish he could have been a little nicer when suing her. I can only imagine the pain she feels not having been there when her kids died. Absolutely heartbreaking and tragic. Poor, sad woman.
She smiled innocently when she lost and even sincerely apologized, AFTER the guy said she looked ungrateful. I wish her the best. 💔
Yikes! He got in the car AND went to the ATM with a complete stranger. Anything could have happened to him.
In college I paid for a girl's textbook the first day we met. I never asked for the money back. We're friends to this day, 12 years later. I understand having a big heart. It comes with risks but sometimes it pays off. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. She helped make me a better person. No regrets.
💛💛 aww!
Was she poor or were you just a sucker
There's always an exception; this is a nice story.
Bruh
This is so sweet. It’s like an opening scene of a show. Like a How I met your mother but more like How I met my best friend. Lol
It sounds like they trauma bonded within 15 literal minutes of knowing each other. That’s why he felt so comfortable giving her money. I personally know people like that who’s share their whole true life stories with complete strangers, then wonder why it blows up on their faces 😩.
I agree! I too have know people like that. You cannot go around life thinking the worst.
I've always maintained that's the number one trait of emotional illness, total strangers sharing their most intimate problems and life situations right after you meet!! 🤦♀️ TMI, verbal vomit, when that happens, trouble ensues.
@@carriepriegel6477
And I’m sure some of those trauma issues were made up or exaggerated just so she can use people and get things from them. BPD textbook narcissist behavior.
I thought the same exact thing! "Trauma bonding"
I feel like if a complete stranger takes a call and comes back and is talking about money then they are asking you for money LOL
Yesssss
I would never get into someone's car who I just met minutes earlier and let them take me anywhere much less lend them money. She clearly was just taking advantage of a nice person. I dont even think the story about her mother was true.
"I wasn't ignoring him I just saw his texts and chose not to respond 🙄"
😂
gees what do call it lady. I saw them and didn't respond
That's the very definition of ignoring
I would love to have a friend like him, money would not be the incentive- he has such a nice and compassionate personality
If you can’t afford to pay back a loan all at once. Then ask to go on a payment plan. I’ve done that several times with people who have loaned me money. It’s no excuse to just not pay it. Ridiculous.
Just saw we have the same last name
Exactly, I’m sure he did not expect her to pay it all at once. I guarantee if she made a plan by 12/31 with him, he would have gladly accepted it, probably even after if she wasn’t ignoring him. These people put themselves in such a mess and burn bridges so quickly.
What an absolute low life. She shows her character by the name she used in her phone. She could have easily found that money in the time. She treated him like he didn't matter and he was just a nuisance. They didn't elucidate on the other charges she had against her. More information was needed on that. She cannot blame going to the court case on him. Then instead of feeling any responsibility to pay back she goes to the effort of getting a restraining order against him. Absolutely no shame. They never talked about him Googling her and seeing her mugshot. The guy was absolutely crazy to loan her money so quickly. It should never have happened. Very poor decision making.
Poor guy he seems soooo nice! It's always people who are too kind that are taken advantage of.
Kindness is never wasted. But I've learned not to have expectations in life. The teacher guy is an extraordinary person.
Extraordinarily naive,sadly...
@@qtrhrse7 As much as I'd like to disagree, you're probably right.
After watching this episode, you STILL think this? That’s dumb.
This is sad. No good deed goes unpunished.

She's such a loser.
The word she had him listed under in her phone speaks volumes about HER character. Yuck!
The plaintiff immediately gave off positive vibes as soon as he walked in. Bless his heart ♥
Damn, he really seemed like a genuine person that wanted to help! Smh she took full advantage of that 😩 and also, he’s kinda gullible but still! A good heart nonetheless!
He offered and she said yes. How is that taking advantage of him?
@David Ken
By not paying him back..
He seems like a really nice guy. Was probably looking to make friends and thought he could if he helped her out… I hope he finds some genuine people to surround himself with.
She’s full of it, glad she lost.
The guy that stands at end of court to question the litigants are only there to stir the pot every time 😂 Just rubbing salt on a wound.
Gotta love it! Harvey pokes the crowd outside sometimes. Makes for a great show
"I'm not saying she's not pretty", bro we can see she's not pretty.
And to aint saying she is either lol

She has such a nerve to counter sue for $3000

I've heard Judge say during multiple cases, "no good deed goes unpunished." This time it rings truer than ever.
Trauma bonding is real. I feel like this is what happened in the 20 minutes they met, and he was nice enough to help this woman who ultimately deceived him. Im glad he was made whole again.
This guy is too sweet. People will take advantage of someone like that.
And this, kids, is why you should watch out for fast friends.

Just because a text is sent at 4:00 am., doesn't mean she has to read it at that time. VERY different than receiving a phone call at 4:00 am.
What a sweet guy. How sad this is the first person he met after moving. I think he'd be a great friend
Who are so quick to lend money to people that they don’t even know
But that woman is a loser.

It makes me sick that so many people laughed when they heard she had the plaintiff in her phone as "f@g."
Even the judge was laughing. What the hell? Sickening indeed.

Just another low life, who borrows money and does not want to repay. He is a very foolish man!
She probably needed the money to buy cigarettes, possibly liquor and definitely is a sociopath.
That guy has a good heart and is very selfless to loan a complete stranger money, only to get burned.
She's what we used to call ‘rode hard and put away wet’.
He did say that she bought a pack of smokes with the money , and she was pregnant so doubt she was buying alcohol.
It's really disheartening when a person who wants nothing but love and connection gets taken advantage of and isn't valued. I know it's happened to me more than once. Sometimes I feel like I want to stop being so kind and caring because time and time again that kindness isn't returned.
If she was standing next to a dumpster the garbage truck would take her too.

Nice guy, good intentions, very empathetic. All good traits and characteristics but people like that, we make ourselves vulnerable to people like her. I graduated with a degree from the School of Hard Knocks, older and wiser. 🎓📜 my Spidey Sense smells a setup with the "granny in need" bit...Just a wee bit too coincidental that convo took place right after they met🤔 people like defendant select 'their mark', they read us like a book and had Nice Gent continued feeling sorry for her - her problems are vast, unrelenting, and self inflicted...she could have bilked him for thousands! But, thankfully, he caught on quickly 🙏
JM think she's slick. Asking the plaintiff, if he was interested in the defendant. She knew damn well, he wasn't.

This one was extremely distasteful if somebody said the "N" word we would of had to hear a speech about how wrong it is but calling a gay person a derogatory name and everybody laughed... This was very poor taste on the people's court....
…it was “douchbag” not great but not exactly a slur.
It’s not a slur at all
You are young but from us older people thats what we called them and much worse. The more common word is poofters.
Y’all so embarrassing thinking she said bundle of sticks and not douchebag. It’s so obvious what she said. She wouldn’t say it if it were what you thought.
Where is Doug when you need him to let the defendant have it?
They didn't date briefly -- who is doing the summaries? lmao
When he started talking i *really* got confused about that intro.
I think those TPC people wanted that little “hey wait a minute” nugget to unfold.
Did she think if she talked quickly and meshed one word into another she might win her case? It is like these litigants go on these court shows, and try to talk quickly, hoping the judge won't catch all the questionable things they have done!
The Defendant had some nerve to use this good-hearted person.
This is what judge Mathis would call dry begging. The person doesn’t flat out ask for money they just dump their problems in your lap and play on your emotions.
The defendant really had the audacity to file a $3000 counter claim. 🤦🏽♂️ I can’t stand when people blame everyone but themselves for their shortcomings. Take accountability and pay that man 😂

To the people thinking judge Milan said fg, the slur, she did not! His name was “douchebag” in her phone! The audio cutout when she said the first half! You can’t be an avid watcher if you’d EVER think she’d say this on live TV!
I honestly feel so much better. I was disheartened FR!
She looks like a user in more ways then one 😂
He was so ignorant to think that if he gave a stranger 400.00 and expect to EVER get it back? Unless he takes her to civil court.
I am a straight white 53 yo man and would love to meet a friend like him. Not for the money but for the genuine friendship he seems to offer. Hard to meet people with integrity. And i love backgammon.
She's offended by the loser, pathetic, and crazy texts after she ignored him?? After he helped her? Sounds like it might be true.
His gentle “no I’m gay” was enough for me😢
Lost her job because she had to go to the courthouse?🤣😂.......🍕💩!
I hope this man does not allow this woman and what she did to him to harden his beautiful heart. He's an absolute sweetheart and unfortunately she mistook his kindness for weakness, which it most definitely was NOT. I heard someone say something recently about loaning people money, and I really liked it and feel it's a good rule to live by. It basically said that when you loan someone money, do so without an expectation of getting it back. That way if you don't get it back, you're not hurt. And if you do get it back, you're pleasantly surprised. But this also doesn't mean that you wouldn't take someone to court. It just means the *expectation* isn't there. And it's our expectations that cause us pain.
She used her kids unfortunate story make the plaintiff to pitty her and give her money.
Typical....
I close my ears when people start telling me sob stories. First meeting them and they tell their sob stories is a huge red flag. Don’t be friends with them.
For a woman who lost her kids, youd think she would value life and people more.
I wonder if that was even a true story.
It's not harassment if you owe someone money!!! Pay them. Problem solved.
He is a really nice and friendly guy. I hope he finds better friends and no one takes advantage of his niceness.
Giving $400 to someone you met a few hours ago is so incredibly stupid that it should be your lesson learned. Oh gee, I wonder if this random person with money issues is good for a payment. This is why credit scores exist and why banks don't just give out lones. The reality is most people are absolutely horrible with money management.
this is so strange i wouldnt loan anyone money not even people ive known my entire life
Hate when people ask for money swearing the don’t have a penny then you see the blowing $$ like they won the lottery . Can’t pay back but you see them out
He’s such a nice guy to let her borrow that money and to call him an ugly name is not acceptable. She took advantage of his kindness.
What a nice guy. Too nice. Please don't do it again.
See the little smile when the verdict is given? That’s called “duping delight”. She knew what she was doing and she likes claiming to be a victim.
Dupers Delight...Dupers.
If only more people were like him. Despite the hate and judgement he had to endure in his life (due to him being gay and people being homophobic), he still tries to see the good in people to the point where he's willing to financially help a practical stranger.
Nobody has been homophobic in 30 years.
I never lend anyone money. If they ask and I can afford it I just give it gratis. Why court disappointment?
BTW,. her kids weren't killed in a car accident with the babysitter driving. There was no aunt who needed a bill paid.
It is users like this horrible person that hardens the hearts of the gentle souls in this world
