Food for thought: App Academy has been reported on twice recently to BBB (Better Business Bureau) and never participates in CIRR (Council on Integrity in Results Reporting) for a reason. A lot of 2021-2022 alumni wouldn't recommend them, especially for the online 24-week version.
why not? I'm on the assessment portion for the part time 6 month bootcamp. it's free and you don't pay them until you get hired. do you maybe know what I should look into in regards to this?
@@Dualgaming25 sounds like you've started but for future reference check many online sources. Reddit, other UA-cam videos, BPPE citations/fines and why they happened/what App Academy did, TeamBlind, InHerSight, Yelp not recommended mixed reviews (400+ not shown in default shown ones), and know App Academy has messed with review websites online like bribing for positive reviews (giving jackets or hoodies for reviews, giving referral links out to encourage use in reviews, contacting those who left bad reviews to get it changed into positive reviews, etc. and review sorting automatically happens for any standard seen ones in review-only websites). They've also been sued multiple times recent past years under parent company Hash Map Labs Inc.
@@mischalecterTV hey late reply, summary of what to look into: -lawsuits (App Academy's are under their parent company Hash Map Labs Inc won't really see them if looking by a/A name) -BPPE fines/citations (a/A has 2x at least one for $50k) and why they happened -Better Business Bureau rating and any publicly seen complaints -UA-cam videos & comments -Reddit posts & comments -Yelp not recommended mixed reviews (400+ not shown in default ones) -When referencing review websites, know a/A bribed for reviews on sites like Yelp (hoodies/jackets for reviews, referral links, contacting ppl who left bad reviews to get them to change it into good reviews on them, etc.) -Be mindful of how some online websites have way more mixed reviews on them than other websites. Check both good and bad for full true picture. Some review websites have review sorting so it can take time to see any warnings or low-rated reviews ppl have left on a/A throughout years -TeamBlind (tends to be only staff-verified reviews) -Glassdoor reviews (look at both good and bad, lots of their staff were former students turned employees) -InHerSight reviews -CIRR participation (or lack of it like in a/A's case), which was also missing in a BPPE investigation/audit on them
Do you guys help out with the prep course

Yeah, seemed to be a good bootcamp before but wondering if the quality went down.
