My friend has 15 pro max and using a cooler help him to play without lag while without cooler it lags a bit.....imo this thing works as i have many friends feels consistent performance especially in the mid range androids. Thumbs up 👍 from my side
it depends on the device like what material is on the back cover, placement of the motherboard and camera island and finally the thermal throttle limit that being said majority of upper midrange to flagship phones including every iphone does actually benifits from extra cooling while gaming
I use a cooler on my redmi note 9s. My charging speed jumps from 3-5w to 18w during charging due to this. I don't game so not sure about that but a cooler does cool my phone from 38 39 to 31 30°. So maybe depends on the phone
Hi bro I also use the cooler so basically it’s not for phone but yeah. For tablets I would rather suggest this bcoz gaming on tablet this helps a lot like I have iPad so it’s really make this constant fps and device pretty cool while on gaming so yes it is useful for tab rather on mobile
It should work if its placed almost above the processor and motherboard. That device you using covers that area with the camera bump and you placed cooler away from processor part. Thats the only possible position anyway 😂. Covering the battery with cooler will ofcourse won't work.
I can understand your argument but i recently bought a cooler and its similar you used in this vedio for me i use poco f1 for gaming and in intense situation i always used to get frame drops and even in hot drops it will be very laggy after using the cooler it have been way smoother and fps is mostly around 55 to 60 no matter how intense game gets i never had any frame drops or lagg but the screen will be at normal gaming temprature if you have a normal fan above i think it will be fine no hate
Ig metal back phones will benefit from it the most, glass/plastic ain't the best conductor of heat ... Like the Oneplus nord 4 heats up pretty evenly cause of metal body.
hey bro i guess in some point it's not true i have a gaming cooler from verofroza and i use it for my iphone and it really helps i can say because i play lot of games and without the cooler it's not playable cuz you know little heat and iphone gets start laggy but when i tested it with cooler it run very good i guess it depends on price or brand of the cooler it costed me 1250 rupees and it work good with my android and iphone but mainly i use it on my iphone
Yeah, some others have shared a similar note. Maybe these work a bit better on iPhones due to the heat dissipation design passing through the middle of the back panel.
Best cooling for regular phones with IP rating is keeping the phone in the fridge for sometime. It works... If there is a gap in the sealant. Gone case.🤣
Haha, I literally used to do this to my old Galaxy S5. Once I kept it in the freezer and went for a shower. Forgot about it for like 25 mins🥶. Display started flickering from then on.🤦🏻
I disagree. I'll talk about high end phones here . Every high-end phone have large copper chamber that exists between battery and display and connected to PCB. When we use Cooler it cool down that specific area (battery) but it also dispate airflow or sides. But that alone won't make much difference and glass isn't good conductor but better then others. The real magic happens when it dispate cold air on battery, battery transfer that Cooling to Copper plate (most High end use Liquid VC cooling now) and that plate transfer it to PCB and circulate airflow which make overall device temprature much cooler for my side my device stuck at starting temprature (32°) which help my GPU-CPU to pull that 90fps without thinking about heat throttling. And atleast Don't use Cooler downwards its need good air space for airflow and it work best in ac (already cooled Atmosphere)
I tried adjusting its position on the back (no diddy), but the frame of the phone was always the hottest area. The screen temperature didn't go down much either. Performance, in my case, only saw a marginal improvement, which was underwhelming.
@@TheHopelessGeek not the magsafe area but the processor is much closer to the middle unlike androids and the whole iphone back is the heatsink. It definitely improves performance and can be confirmed by many gamers and Live streamers
There was 2 inches of gap between the phone and the table. I propped the phone up using two plastic studs on the top and bottom. You can see a glimpse of them at time 2:03 in the video. Turns out, I'm not the clueless or stupid one here, after all.
I used it handheld as well, no major difference on my device. It depends a lot on the type of phone, and is not universal. That benchmark takes 20 minutes, which is why I placed it on those studs for the video. Don't assume something without the full context. If you have a question about the video or my tests, just ask. I'll answer clearly.

I see. So maybe the magsafe area is decently optimised for heat dissipation as well.
I use my cooling fan in my realme c3, a low end device, while playing game my phone goes up to 42°© but after using the cooler it comes back to normal 29° to 30° , thing to do is only to run the cooler for 5 minutes before plugging in into the phone, or using the 20 watt adaptor 👍👍
Interesting. That's a big difference. I guess it works better on some phones than others. They shouldn't really market these as "universal" 😅

Yes, that makes sense. But people buying this are being told misleading things, which is why I had to test it.
Better get a small table fan ,will cool you and your phone
haha😂
No I have one

Yes, you're right. It greatly depends on the phone design

Yeah, I can see why that may be the case. Due to their spacious design, it might make a bigger difference to cool tablets using these fans.
It should work if its placed almost above the processor and motherboard.

haha, correct. Phones don't always have that area clearly available to slap a cooler on top. That's why it works well on some and doesn't on others.
I have an iphone 12 and after 20 min is heating and lagging and i have a cheap cooler and it is increasing the device performance to normal
I've heard many iPhone users reporting seeing a difference. Perhaps these work well with them and a few other devices.

@@TheHopelessGeek most of the the phones have their processors close to camera or more up top so maybe placing the coolest such a way would be helpful
Hm.. correct. But these days the camera sections are protruding too much. That makes it hard to get a cooler around them.

I agree, metal back ones are awesome for quick heat dissipation. The back panel will act like a heatsink.

Test it on Nord 4 they have metal unibody
That might work well.

I am not convinced
Neither am I😅
Hello
Partially cooled greetings
Is this guy clueless or something? He tests the cooler while putting it on the table, which makes all the air flows stuck in one place.
