Judging by the ASPCA's excrutiatingly long 2 minute commercials this organization was prioritizing advertising over animal welfare. If the ASPCA CEO is making over $800K annually their priorities are WAY out of wack. I want to help animals not CEO's.

Sickening and embarrassing how they play on animal suffering, people's love for animals, and people's kindness to fatten some CEO's bank account. ASPCA needs to restructure their organization and needs to be transparent on how those donations are spent. Oh yes, and they also need to give that CEO a major pay-cut.
I agree with that. Some people like me are on a fixed income. We don't have time to give to an organization that is to help the animals but ends up helping the CEO Animal. I'm not happy about this. I want money to help the animals.

Disappointing
I didn't have a very good experience with one ASPCA facility.
I was about to become homeless and needed to give up my cat. Brought her to a local facility and was turned down because she was an older cat. The man working there was terribly rude and actually cruel to me. He was furious I was trying to get help for my cat and could not have cared less that I was about to become homeless.
When your whole world is turning upside down, you do the best you can.
That man treated me like I was such a bother to him.
This is disturbing. Does not look good for the ASPCA.

They do not euthanize animals at the ASPCA unless the animal is dying and in pain.

Give to your LOCAL PET SHELTER to get the most bang for your buck. LESS THAN 10% of the money DONATED to ASPCA actually goes to ANIMAL CARE...the majority goes to salaries & political entities.

I myself, as a true animal lover who deeply cares about those in need of help, am somewhat appalled at this. 20 bucks a month x 12 is $240. If ASPCA hits their goal of 3000 *_new_* donors that would be close to three quarters of a million dollars. Wow. They are non-profit?

Despite having $115 million in contributions in 2013, the ASPCA only found homes for 3,400 dogs and cats, according to its annual report. That’s a cost of $34,000 per animal adopted.

Best to rescue animals from the shelters and get your current pets fixed.
They also spend heavily on their anti hunting agenda. With natural predators gone game animals would over populate and starve if not for hunters. The last I heard their CEO was making $400k. Those heart breaking ads must have enabled him to double his skim

From the scare tactics and emotional appeals they use to convince people, to the absolute insane length of the ads, I could always feel something was up. Their spending on their ads is way too high to be a good charity.
It’s also good to help HERD of Africa that rescue orphaned elephants. They are fabulous and have a channel on you tube to show the care they provide. You can also Give to your local Humane Society.

Did my research on aspca, small donations goto rescue animals Ceo makes over 800,000dollars. No longer donate to aspca, hsus. Off my will. More diligent now.

I will not be able to afford my yaccht! Save my life style you old folks! They would call my Mom with dementia and tell her go put check in mail! She felt scared! She told me so. Mom died not so much of a Hall Mark. Swindlers, keep your t shirts.
This is so hard for me to decide to continue to donate or not. Some of the money goes toward helping the animals. If I stop donating I will not be helping the animals at all. That is not good for me. I will pray that the animals receive the help they are promised by the ASPCA.
Perhaps, if they also helped prosecute the offenders..it might appear more legitimate.. Think!

I don't donate to any charities.....i have 6 rescued dogs.....no funding, donations of any kind.....i know some folks that have ongoing GFM accounts for their pets....i decided to rescue dogs for pets....give them a forever home, a pack, security of a fenced yard, and food & fresh water for dogs with rough histories of abandonment, fear, loneliness, starvation, cruelty......WE ARE FAMILY.....
They took a page from PETA operating policies .
Are these animals in your commercial good now? I'd like to see these animals in your commercials helped... Instead of standing there recording your footage for your advertisement...feed the animals.. pet them.. ..geezzzzz .I'd like to see the part where these animals are getting helped....where all the money goes....

You need to chill with the commercials people are having a hard enough time paying for gas to get to work let alone paying for those stupid dogs. Everybody wants you to donate something for nothing, what a scam. I've seen that commerical so many times I get nauseous. Put them to sleep that's the human thing to do.
As a donor to ASPCA I feel it's worth it and very much needed to donate locally and nationwide so all animals across America 🇺🇸 can receive the help they need. That's if we truly love and care for animals.

They should face criticism and lawsuits for their illegal denial of people adopting their dogs despite all the requirements. Yes, I do know this for a fact because my parents were looking to adopt a dog with them. My parents met all the requirements according to everything that they asked. They just up and said my parents don't meet the requirements despite those requirements being met. If you truly care about a dog, don't go to this organization. There are plenty of organizations that actually care about the dogs' well-being since they don't really. I don't know what their reasoning for having these ads and doing this is, but there must be actually an ulterior motive. I really see them in a different light, and that's not a light at all it's just a dark and evil thing. I see them as a truly evil and corrupt organization.

ASPCA’s CEO Matthew Bershadker received an annual salary of $800,000 in 2017 and $770,000 in 2018! Of every dollar donated to ASPCA, 38 cents was used to pay salaries and benefits.
