gaikai is used for downloading games, streaming videos, etc.. the cloud is used for computing power with 300 000 servers and will later grow. just wait till both come out, then you can say anything you want, but for now, no one is right or wrong.
@SuperAmanda420 Let's keep in mind that at least a few 10s of millions own two or all consoles, so for example combined PS360,Wii sales does not mean much since we can't say every single buyer only owns this or that console. Even if some people give credit to the Wii for expanding the market I think otherwise. I think market got smaller. These consoles have been on market longer, and I don't think this generation combined beats sales of previous gen combined. If you get my point
You do realise Gaikai is different to the Xbone Cloud, Gaikai is Game Streaming, Xbox Cloud allows the game to load areas via the internet, decreasing load times, cpu and gpu usage. OnLive got fucked over, just like GaiKai will, I will be getting both consoles, however I will mainly play on my PC.
If Microsoft ignore the core with the 720, they're doomed because the casual market is moving towards cheap mobile gaming purely. Sony have the best strategy with the PS4 , targeting both the core and the casual, not leaning largely towards one group and offering a diversity of price ranges for entertainment, ranging from 1 dollar titles to regular 60 buck titles, as well as free to plays( hopefully tf2 will return to PS4 in its true form).
11:23 says it all. If they know who they are supposed to please, why do they start selling the new console to the people that they know ARENT interested in a game console!? Microsoft has ABANDONED their main demographic. That's what has saddened me.
I guess kinect was microsofts answer to increasing the demographic of gamers they appeal to whilst simultaneously shunning us core gamers, they pushed me away to PC and soon the PS4 and that's for the better.
They said original Xbox consoles would still be made through 2006, but they stopped making them in August 2005, 2 months before Xbox 360 released.

Remember that they expanded from just the 360, to PC (Games for Windows Live) and Windows Phone 7.
In the HD era we won't have a Blu Ray player with our console. I am a day one owner of the 360 and that was a big dissapointment.

If I recall, wasn't the 360 only kinda BC? Like, they had to do firmware patches to allow more OG Xbox games to play on the 360? I can't remember.
