while it was playing. the only major difference in the xbox 360 and the xbox 360 "slim" is it is whisper quiet shinier, shinier controller on the trim, built jn harddrive + wifi adapter, "ready for kinect" much lighter power brick, touch sensitive power and disc buttons. but the disc can still scratch while it is playing they did not change the controller they simply made it more shiny. they did not change the discs or how much memory it can hold. they did not change the chip that runs xbox.

@lotr536 The big thing is that they were the only ones who showed off new hardware that was a system, while the other 2 showed off hardware that were peripherals. Also, Nintendo's new hardware was the only one with a promising software line-up. Also, the majority of the software they showed off for the Wii & DS are coming out this year.

@StarFox5555 the kinect camera work as your sight: look straight forward and put your finger(one finger) infront of your nose. it looks like two fingers, now slowly move your finger away from you(keep looking straight forward). now the shades are moving closer to eachother. thats how kinect work, but it only track how far these "shades" are from each other, and put them together. the longer they are from eachother the closer they are to the camera. done. psmove CONTROLLERS is a wii look-a-like.
Kinetic is really nice and so is Wii but when it comes to games like racing...standing is not really my game :D In fact, I'd rather just sit down since a real racer sits on a seat as well. That seems more realistic. By the way, I'm interested on the Star Wars game's gameplay. I wonder how it will teach you how to use that lightsaber to deflect those lasers? cause that would be really cool. It's like a lightsaber tutorial :D So another new 360 model? for the same price? Kinetic included?
I find it extremely funny that before the current consoles came out, Microsoft and Sony were downplaying Wii as a gimmick. 5 years later, MS and Sony have released so many redesigns and extra peripherals for the consoles as well as numerous price drops and bundles while Wii was continuously outselling them. Nintendo were the smart guys all along.

Ok, most of this stuff looked gimmicky... but after watching the demo for Ubisoft's fitness game, It really comes to light what this thing is capable of. Imagine taking full control of your favorite video game characters, them mimicking your movements perfectly. THAT would be pretty SICK.
@MrObeez yeah your right. ps3 have blu-ray that makes good 1080 graphic, but xbox also have good 1080 graphic. the only difference between the consoles is: PS3= free wi-fi - xbox= cheap xbox live with much more stuff.

honestly everyone bashing the Kinect..im gunna say they kind of dropped the ball at E3 but give it a year and im sure it will appeal even more the core audience instead of just the casual gamers for the most part.

@dontsuck12 lol the developers actually confirmed that currently kinect cannot read the players when their sitting down. and that video showing the family sitting down and playing was fake, it was just made for ad purposes. they werent even playing it in real.

I don't know what people are bitching about! Kinect is, right now, the most advanced censor technology in gaming. It has TONS of potential! 2ndly, it's not limited to gaming. It basically turns your TV into a voice and body controlled device. What's bad about that? That's friggin great and innovative! 3rdly, and MOST importantly, it's OPTIONAL! You DON'T HAVE to use Kinect! If you wanna stick with your control and do things old-school, you're free to do that! So stop the nonsensical bitching!

Although Kinect appeals to no part of the Hardcore gamer in me, I was extremely impressed by its abilities. The technology is actually more advanced then I previously thought and its really well implemented by the games they showed off. And also there's no doubt Kinect can do really cool shit outside of gaming. I'll still play the Mass Effects, Halos and Gears with a controller, but damn this is cool!
can we put are own music on it cause im a krumper and i would want 2 put krump tracks on it if da game is even good and im sure bboys and poplockers feal da same

@2hottie69 The 360's failure rate is still the same. It has gotten higher with the new 360 slim. The PS3's failure rate still remains at 5% The 360 has lost many features, Such as the removable harddrive.
The audience was super bored , until they got the XBOX 360.

@akaTRAP91 You can't even play Killzone 3 in 3D unless you have a 3D tv and a pair of 3D glasses, so that would costs you a thousand more dollars.

a dance game where you can learn to dance is needed. downloadable dance moves would be cool, along with user created dance moves
