Leo, I just wanted to share that I am so happy to have discovered your podcast over a week ago. I've been following you since the start and I've always found your work so deeply enriching. Your podcast has come at a time when I needed it most, and it has been walking me through each challenge I encounter, step-by-step, giving me just the right tools, solutions, and encouragement as I go. I cannot thank you enough! :) Isabella
So helpful. This mirrors fight (action), flight (complain), freeze (hide) from psychology OR exit (action), voice (complain), loyalty (hide) from political science.
My mother has alzheimers and i cannot change it, or help her stay healthy. It’s the absolute worst I work alot with my perspective, and also; therapy ”I feel bad i can’t be with her every day. If i was with her every day, i would become sick myself; and then i can’t take care of her and her life” things like that :) This was very interesting, thank you it helped me. This is part of the human experience. Love from Sweden
Thank you. Your suggestion to embrace these feelings as part of the human experience (and the visualisations that you shared 🙂) are a wonderful way of changing perspectives.
Great vid! I was in the subway in NY years ago. I was bogged down with bags of equipment and could not get through the turn style. I was becoming late for my next appointment and I felt sooo helpless and distraught. A man came up behind me, took my bags and hefted them over the turn style. As he was doing that he said, " A solution will occur to you when you surrender to the problem". Then he just walked off. I swear to God, it was one of the most bizarre things that has ever happened to me. I jotted his words onto the back of a business card that I had in my pocket and it is still on my cork board. I am looking at it right now. Surrender-let go-float...something really does happen to the energy around you when you do this. At least it does to me.
I can relate! That's a totally normal feeling, and it's a part of any challenging endeavor. Let yourself feel it, then find a way to find purpose in the action regardless of outcome. For example: moving my body is a celebration of having a body, regardless of whether the exercise gets me to my goals.

That is bizarre and profound! Thanks for sharing ✨
Thank you for this. Your perspective really resonated with me. ❤
Beautiful! 😍
It is the feeling that any action will be fruitless.
