il s'agit d'une musique très belle, mais à laquelle le public n'accroche pas facilement; les musicien s'y attellent en général pour leur propre plaisir; ceci dit, elle la joue magnifiquement, mais je préfère le jeu plus cristallin et éthéré de Kate lui adolescente, tout particulièrement dans le la premières partie de l'oeuvre (''Ondine'')

I saw Anna at the CSO maybe 10 years ago. I sat in the first row maybe 8 feet away directly in front of her. I have never seen such focus. She is truly amazing!

I love this music already so long and have a lot of interpretations. This is so dreamy beautiful. It's right up there with the most beautiful if not the most beautiful. Only Anna can play it just a little bit more fantasy like. Also her tension arch with louder and softer playing is more than perfect.

Questo tipo di musica così fumosa con reticolati di arpeggi annuvolati è nata da istinti compositivi alquanto esibizionistici. Anche compositore di genio come Ravel ogni tanto hanno voluto strafare. Io amo i disegni ritmici complessi e originali perché sono quanto di più difficili esiste nella composizione punto Ma altro fatto è suonare nuvole di arpeggi per minuti e minuti. Non è assolutamente una musica piacevole. Bravissima pianista saluti

What is the deal with the coughing every time someone plays something like this?
Vince Govianni, Oh how I wish I knew the answer to that one! If it's not coughing it's a mobile 'phone going off (inspite of polite reminders to the audience to switch them off before the start of the concert). I attended a piano recital a few months ago (Khatia Buniatishvili) and as soon as it started, high pitched whistles started to emanate from what I presume were hearing aids. It was so obtrusive that the pianist had to stop playing and request the concert organisers to do something. We all get caught out with unexpected coughs at concerts, but this can be averted by simply having boiled/cough sweets at the ready.

Miley cyrus is from the mainstream music industry who are aimed at masses. She is a celebrity of the music world whose music is sold in millions of copies. There is no comparison between her and Anna Federova. There are people who have the patience to really listen to music like this, instead of hearing and jamming to any song by the mainstream music industry. The reason why Cyrus has tons of likes is because of her huge fan base and that she needs to get attention as a celebrity and singer so doesn't ruin her reputation. Anna Federova isnt a celebrity, but she truely will make a name for herself in the coming years and I truely hope she becomes one of the greatest female pianists out there. Her Rachmaninoff piano concerto no 2 performance in the Concertbougouw in Amsterdam is probably the best interpretation of the piece. Its considered a classic performance which has gained over 12 million views! So she is well known in her own ways

Anna, this is a very rhythmical piece. The Scarbo is actually a Waltz! Why is your tempo all over the place? You start the Ondine too fast, then you slow down to address the more difficult phrases. Your control of the B flat in the Gibet is great though.
This "Gaspard de la nuit" has become a piece that many pianist lately like to play. And as a fan of Anna Fedorova I have to defend her version. But I have never fallen for this Ravel piece, I think there are many better pieces, for example the second movement in his G-major concert for piano and orchestra. And as I understand it, Anna hasn´t played this concert, yet.
Nice to be at the bottom, the last place. But I like her dress, perhaps this will lift me up a bit.

Simply the best I have heard the Ondine played! It can easily be regarded as one of the most beautiful for the piano. The other two pieces are junk. Shame on Ravel. The later two; junk number two (played first) and junk numero uno - any composer that dips into the total negative in life is going in the wrong direction.
Ondine must have been somewhat agitated that night.

Just like so many others, she doesn't follow Ravel's tempo and rhythm indications. She may not even understand some of them. Read the score, people. And why is she playing the final 32nd note 2/8 coda as a free tremolo? Those are distinct 32nds in the score?

Meh, nothing compares to pogorelich. After witnessing his performance, it makes everything else dull and without vibrance.
I feel like you are not giving her much of a chance. Ofc Pogorelich is great, but she did a great job as well
