Bless you so much for putting the combined lyrics AND BASIC TRANSLATIONS so we can get the full (heh) impact of the song as we listen 💖 (I do say basic not in a bad way but more like, you will get the important meanings but you would want to be careful trying to pick up vocabulary directly this way - because I'm not fluent but, i caught first, How there are at least some words with multiple meanings used in the original, such as "aoi" which I know from reading translations on other Japanese lyrics as well as from forever ago when I attempted learning it,, can mean not just "blue", but also many hues of what English would call teal, turquoise or even green, like the color of traffic lights is "aoi" even... but as well it can mean "pale" or even a less literal/more figurative use of someone who's inexperienced- much like in English we can refer to someone as "green" actually - so, that line about the "aoi" wind can have potentially other meanings for all I know, like pale wind, inexperienced/fresh/ wind maybe, possibly even cold wind for all I know, so there's that... and I did notice how, due to the very different ways Japanese sentence structure works, in some places the overall translation seems accurate but the "lines" don't directly match up to the romaji - the one I noticed being that Haruka Mirai- "distant future" - is structurally in the beginning of the line *before* the one it appears in translation under, probably because Japanese tends to be SOV - Subject, object, Verb - so the important verb acting on it is in the next bar/line, because the sentence is being split between the two. But like i said, unless you're directly trying to learn Japanese from this translation - which isn't what it's put here for - that shouldn't be an issue😅)

I figured I’d use the official(probably) translation and not mess with it too much. Also I didn’t know that about the word aoi! Interesting. The translation is liberal at some points yet it’s mostly quite basic and literal as you said. And you’re welcome! I enjoy Japanese songs and transcribing lyrics. Not to mention this mashup is awesome and I’ve been listening to it a lot. I think it’s a pretty common chord progression and definitely a classic

@@bopyloo Amazing work on this!! I've done a lot of music production stuff and DAMN this sounded hard to make. Like you even did pitching up and stuff and remixing some parts. It sounded really fluid because you did the transitions so well. Both songs hit hard and hit even harder together 💯💯

(I do say basic not in a bad way but more like, you will get the important meanings but you would want to be careful trying to pick up vocabulary directly this way - because I'm not fluent but, i caught first, How there are at least some words with multiple meanings used in the original, such as "aoi" which I know from reading translations on other Japanese lyrics as well as from forever ago when I attempted learning it,, can mean not just "blue", but also many hues of what English would call teal, turquoise or even green, like the color of traffic lights is "aoi" even... but as well it can mean "pale" or even a less literal/more figurative use of someone who's inexperienced- much like in English we can refer to someone as "green" actually - so, that line about the "aoi" wind can have potentially other meanings for all I know, like pale wind, inexperienced/fresh/ wind maybe, possibly even cold wind for all I know, so there's that... and I did notice how, due to the very different ways Japanese sentence structure works, in some places the overall translation seems accurate but the "lines" don't directly match up to the romaji - the one I noticed being that Haruka Mirai- "distant future" - is structurally in the beginning of the line *before* the one it appears in translation under, probably because Japanese tends to be SOV - Subject, object, Verb - so the important verb acting on it is in the next bar/line, because the sentence is being split between the two. But like i said, unless you're directly trying to learn Japanese from this translation - which isn't what it's put here for - that shouldn't be an issue😅)
@@studioyokai Yes! I also noticed “hohohohenderu anata” was translated as “and smiling.” when anata means “you”. Many things like that. I figured I’d use the official(probably) translation and not mess with it too much. Also I didn’t know that about the word aoi! Interesting. The translation is liberal at some points yet it’s mostly quite basic and literal as you said.
