This is no refracting telescope, nope its better than that it's an observatory....... Gets me laughing every time then he winds up with every thing he has and nails him. This show was huge in the early 90's, i was 21,22, so many different characters and skits. Fun to see younger generation react to this. Peace......

A very good point. I never thought about today's punishments as being more psychological (which is the worst) than the old days of wacking or bopping. It's not an unhealthy thing (grounding, wacking, bopping, time out, the look) done in love or care in school or home. The key is consequences in wrong doings, in which, I don't see a lot of these days.

Damon Wayons even worked homey like behavior in one episode of tv show My Wife & Kids in 2000’s.
Regarding "psychological" punishment vs physical. The whole point of discipline is to teach consequences. What do you learn from physical violence? More physical violence and trauma. Allowing a child to think about what they did leads to them making different decisions in the future.
I recall there was a Homey D Clown computer game for one of the old PCs, a point 'n click adventure style game.

The Homie the Clown I remember had powder in his sock that left a cloud around their head and a mark on their face.
We got all of the above plus. Sometimes I had to choose my punishment. I got sent to my room, stared at, hair or ear pulled, spanking, and if it was serious enough, my dad would grab us by the collar and shove us into the wall or whatever was nearby.
So funny! Haven't seen Homey since "In Living Color" originally aired on TV back in the early 1990s. ... If you do another "Men on ..." clip with Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier, I suggest "Men on Books." And you might also enjoy sister Kim Wayans as Benita Butrell in "The Physican's Office" skit. 🙂
