Yeah, minifig scale is a tough thing to pin down- I like to think of them as weird fat little people who are actually 6 feet tall humans but very weirdly shaped, which makes my minifig scale a little different from LEGO’s I think
Absolutely worth the wait. Recently build Luke‘s X-Wing with stand from your rebrickable page, which is already great. Can‘t wait to start on the falcon. Better start saving up for getting the parts, once instructions become available. Awesome work!

This is amazing! I'm currently building the standard UCS version and I'm apalled (lol) how much there's wasted space. The official build is mostly airy structure and the interior space doesn't really pop out much. Here hoping that I won't be needing a huge amount of extra parts for your "ultimate" one.

Thank you!! Yeah the great irony is that by going smaller you get so much more room to work with on the interior because you don’t need as much technic support structure.
This is so in sync with my style for Lego, I like system scale high detail sets, (usually just from modifying store bought sets) and hate oversized or minifig scale sets like the AT-STs or AT-RTs or the older TIE fighters

Thanks! It’s really a fully scratch build like my previous Falcon was, but having that set will help with some specialist pieces like the cockpit which are pricey! Not sure when the instructions are going to be out but I’m trying to power through it as quickly as I can!

Well there isn’t very much overlap and mine is a totally different scale so even the expensive specialist pieces like the dish and cockpit won’t help you out 😬
i noticed you went with a far less detailed radar dish on the front side this time. Making the 2nd type to swap out is a cool idea though all the same.
