I went on my 5 day cruise the other day I felt so alive. But now I do another treatment so I won't have the strength to ride for a bit until I build up the strength again. But when I'm out riding nothing else matters my joint pain and sarcoidosis tumors doesn't matter at all! But the TTR125 is definitely lacking on the trail. But I'm looking diligently everyday. Thanks for all you do Kyle you have given me my life back. HAMMER DOWN
I put three hours and 70 miles on my 2020 300XC-W yesterday. It was the first ride with a new Coober ECU. While the bike is amazing stock, the new ECU software makes it so much better! The new tuning makes the engine grunt out so much more torque that you can leave it in third gear in the woods without needing to downshift when things get slow. The added power with the new tune is comparable to a CR500 but with much less vibration, and better throttle response. WARNING: if you dare ride a TPI bike, you will never go back to carbureted and non-counterbalanced bikes!
I think I have the best compromise, a company in the US make a replacement bolt on metering system for around $200 called a STIC, everything I have watched about it (manly from Tokyo off-road) indicates it works as well as swopping in a Lectron or Smartcarb.
Central PA mountain rider here with 7000 miles of mountain roads , 4x4 trail and challenging single track( these are only open to ride 4 mo. in the summer. My 2019 KTM500EXCF , it kicks my ass with to much power and a bit heavy decked out with a rack and trail bag plus the Enduro engineering guards. Two weeks ago I decided at age 66 to buy the 2022 KTM 300XCW and yes I will / must invest in a tuner or a GET ECU after I build the bike for street legal . I can't ride on any trail without the license plate and so you might want to know that Mike a Taco Moto has available LED front fork tube turn signals and a TIDY TAIL LIGHT that has run , brake and turn signals built all in one small Enduro light. Also check out the idle screw installation . I'm buying most of my after fro Mike , even installing a TRAIL TECH DIGITAL FAN HE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I have the last carb 300, a 19 300 XC. Riding my buddies bikes which all are TPI I will never go TPI myself. More weight, less low end and not much of a hit in the middle. Just my 2 cents.
@@bobelliott9790 I'm with you... I will never own a TPI 2 stroke dirt bike. I will stick with my 18 TE 300. I own 4 TPI snowmobiles but they are designed better. No batteries either. My dentist buddy bought 2 different TPI KTMs. A 2020, then he thought maybe the 2021 would be improved. He had problems with both then got rid of them and went Sherco 300. KTM only offers 30 day warranty too. That tells me the factory doesn't even have confidence in their own products.
You talk about getting a mental "gift by riding the bike" and I totally agree. One thing I learned racing, you never worry what's behind you and you race forward at all times...I take that same adage and apply it to life. When someone or something tries to pull me down, I race forward in life and never turn around and worry about what's behind me! I owe everything mentally to the offload motorcycle sport.
It's not so much how we are when everything is groovy at the movie but more what we do when things are difficult. Adversity polishes us. Dirt bikes, surfing, music etc. can give us a moment to be present in the moment, recharge & refresh.
I would have liked to see a better in depth comparison of the two bikes. For anyone really interested in buying one of these, and doesn’t have much to go on. But great vid as always.
You hit nail on the head on life stuff!!!! In my day in Florida Trail Riders H/S Enduros had 3 Championships and A Highpoint in H/S. Then in life was out of it for Over 12 years. I tried all kinds of street bikes to fill the void. Now my 2013 KTM 990 SMT I love and its still in garage with about 5500 miles in it. But missed my dirt bikes so got the 2019 YZ250X I set sag and went back to FTR because of rules and they still remembered me had to ride golden master A thats 60 + way out of shape from driving OTR trucks I finished mid pack. Have not got to ride bike much because of job would guess 10 hours at most. But my plan is in next 2 years or so im retiring and get my life back! Can I get one more championship? YES if have time to train get in shape. Thaking time that when do bike will be setup and YZ250X will be trick. BTW Gasgas 300 vs KTM 300 is like comparing GMC to Chevy! 😂
Sorry for your life trouble brother. Hopefully you can get back in the center of the trail and find your flow. Cheers and thanks for the content, you’re always at the top of my list.
That Gasser looks better and sounds better than the KTM to me. And it's nice having a bike that stands out amongst a group of the typical orange and white bikes.
Feel like I know exactly what you're referring to in your personal life. We're always attempting to balance all the truly important things in our life with our passion to ride motorcycles. Not an easy task. Stay encouraged.
I rode and wheelie the the ktm300 Exc bro it’s really fun great bike to hike with also keep going bro hopefully my channel gets big one day in gods name amen🙏🏽❤️💯
Get a "cycling" wind stopper vest where the back is mesh. This will keep the wind off your chest, and all the sweat vents out the back. No matter how cold it gets, this is all I've ever needed, and I don't do well when cold. Get gloves that keep your hands warm, whatever it takes. If you ride where it's cold, give this a go before you try any kind of jacket. The arm coverage make you sweat to much.
Had a 21 gasgas ex 300. I found the suspension too soft with not a lot of hold up. Tried like the dickens to get it right. After 30 hours I sold it. My MC250F has great suspension for the trails.
I just don't know what to do. I just got an out the door price on a 2022 KTM 300 XCW @ $12,600 I am thinking of buying so I have been watching a lot of husky/ktm videos and it blows me away how everyone forks over 10K+ for these bikes then has to buy different suspension and ecu, get the head milled etc etc. What is the deal? Seriously??!! Is this madness or what??
@@moreveinsmoregains how do you find the steering radius/ground clearance between them ? My 2020 390 has less steering and ground clearance than my 2017 300 did.
Hey Kyle. Just wondering. Are the first couple of gears that noticeably longer on xc-w/ec vs the xc/ex models? Couple spots in the your video when you said you were grading 2nd gear. i thought you would have been in 2nd already. Really felt like i would be in 2nd gear on my 300 xc in those spots.
Just went out today here in Wyoming. Got in a couple hours. 2021 ktm 300xcw. Gotta get the suspension set up better for me I weigh 290lbs. It's great in slow technical stuff but too soft as I pick up the pace.
We just need to learn to take some time for ourselves. If dads not around everyone suffers. We run a business, 4 kids, all the trimmings. We all need our alone time doing “our” extra curricular activities.
When your bike is broke, you fix it. When you are broke, the bike fixes you.
So. Well. Said. Thank you.
56 bought a rm250 last summer after 30 years, diagnosed with epilepsy in February n when I mix 32:1+ I get like Ronnie Mac. Sniffing the fumes!
Thats 100%🙌
Agreed 💯%
I'm broke and I still keep spending money.

As long as the TPI never fails.

I feel you man life’s been slapping me in the face all year. But when I’m out riding or hitting the gym fishing I can clear my mind.

I literally just bought the one I visually liked best. In my case Gas Gas. Its that simple of a choice.
The vid really wasn't that good. I too was hoping for a much better comparison and a voice over would have been nice.
I know and feel your pain brother. I often get time in prayer and just enjoy God's beauty on my bike. Stay frosty
Sometimes in life you do what you have to do but hopefully most of time you do what you want to do 👍👍
That was a sweet ride on a sweet trail. If that dont get your mind straight nothing will.Made my morning better.

what did we learn on GG vs KTM...nothing!
Thanks for the review and breaking down the differences you feel. Looks your flying along that trail. Thanks for posting!! 🔥💪
Speaking of missing, I was sad to hear you had to miss out on the 24hrs of GH race with RMATVMC. Hope you're feeling better!

Looks to me you were meshed with the bike quite nicely. Hauling butt dude especially on those rocky side hills. Awesome riding!
Video on cold weather riding gear please. Base layers, mid layers, windproof or not. Great video!

So only difference is the front brake?
A lot of bla bla and nothing concrete about the bikes
The voice over videos really are a lot better. Listening to someone talk while they are concentrating on their riding is not great.
Thanks for vid mate.
Nothing like a braaap to force clear the mind.
Be strong brother.
You should make that a shirt! “Throttle Therapy “!!!

“Throttle therapy”, I’m going to start using this phrase 😆
When are we getting a YZ125x video ?
A real shame they didn't/couldn't keep the KYB suspension 😒
Favorite singletrack in UT. Narrow and some difficult spots. Not a trail to lose focus on.
Where's that trail?
Nowhere on this trail to feel those forks cavitate.
Is there a throttle therapy tee shirt with the gas gas bike on it ?
looking at the KTM 300's, do you prefer the XC or the XC-W? or pre-mix or injected
I'm curious about KTM Power Parts Brembo caliper. Try on Gas Gas??
How does the Beta 300rr stack up against these two?
i have the 300rr 2022 and l feel like it has a lot more power at low rpm compared to the ktm 300 2022 (my dads bike). Amazing bike for hard enduro
@@moreveinsmoregains how do you find the steering radius/ground clearance between them ? My 2020 390 has less steering and ground clearance than my 2017 300 did.

Why not compare bikes stock to stock?

Work on your weight, not the suspension. You know you can do it!
Kyle what's the new thing you're using to attach your GoPro to the helmet?
I hear the Beta 300 is a nice piece for the 💰
I like GasGas but feel like I'm sitting on top of it vs sitting lower/in the KTM if that makes sense. Still, great bikes for sure
Isnt it the same exact frame and triple clamps ect though?
Ktm exc 300 tpi better without too much discussion👹
Those trails are beautiful where do you ride?
Gas Gas is amazing
Is this by simpson springs?
Nice video!
Love your hats I got one and it is the best
Aww wow a ktm versus a ktm 🤣😂
I still like the white KTM's the best
Enter a Race - we want to see what's up !
Anyone who knows this trail send me a DM? I'd love to try it on the beta
