I don't understand why people are getting upset about representation. Not everyone had heroes who looked like them growing up and those who didn't are finally getting their moment. It's a beautiful time to be a Marvel fan.
It's not about representation. It's about putting a political agenda before good storytelling and world building
@@tperfect7241 There’s literally no political agenda here. Just saying you’re racist and/or xenophobic and leave if you think there is. Showing other peoples cultures and lifestyle that isn’t America is not political.
@@tperfect7241 Also you have no right to say this is bad storytelling and bad world building when we’ve only seen 1 episode so far, but even besides that, the first was incredible and my favorite of them all so your hatred is pathetic. Stop watching Marvel or anything to do with non Americans if you’re going to complain about it.
@@tperfect7241 there isn't any agenda 💀
@@tperfect7241 All the Superhero Shows are Pro Government Pro Western Militarism Propaganda 101 mate including Israeli Wonder Woman, this show if anything is the least Political, this is about Culture, Community etc
As a Pakistani muslim who's around the same age as Ms. Marvel I finnaly have a superhero that I could relate to, I too am always just in an imaginary world like her just doodling on my book in class. I had tears in my eyes finnaly seeing my religion and country represented in a positive and non-stereotypical way. For me this is 10/10
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am a Muslim girl and my dad is from Jordan. I have never been able to relate to something as much as I relate to this show. It's so good. I have no complaints. The representation was done so well. The haters can just leave.
Lovely video!
The pure Joy you are showing is exactly why representation matters. I am so happy with Marvel right now. I thought it was a great show.
I was hoping for this. When I watched it I immediately thought "I hope Nasser watches this, he would love it". Also I'm curious about what a muslim from the actual middle east would think about this show. Personally, I love seeing people here in the US get bent all out of shape that the MCU is giving us a muslim superhero, saying it's gone "woke" blah blah blah. Screw those people, I'm glad they're triggered. Plus, this was a really good first episode.
I love seeing them fume over it too. They got tons of heroes, let us have one without the unnecessary hate. Thank you for thinking of me when you watched it, I appreciate you so much!
Yup. Pretty much just, yup. Acknowledging the existence of other human beings who more or less live next door is not being "woke" in any pejorative sense. Do they seriously believe that if they close their eyes really tight, then everyone who doesn't look like them will disappear? And why in the name of all that's holy would they _want_ that to happen? (They did the same thing with Shang-Chi. Oh, look, it's a person who belongs to the fastest growing immigrant population in North America. Naturally, it means they're pandering to Beijing. Seriously, WTF is wrong with their brains?)
@@babs3241 Sometimes I think they won't be happy until they see Ryan Gosling playing Martin Luther King Jr. or T'Challa or something
Even though it's all about money, it's a good sign that big corporations are realizing there's more money in being diverse than pandering to the anti "woke" crowd.
As if being woke is somehow a bad thing.
@@XKathXgames - I keep asking for a definition of "woke," and I never get it.
Aww I love your excitement when watching this. How much Kamala resonates with you as a person is so wholesome to see. I personally love how realistic she feels, in combination with the unique visual quality of this show: it is unlike anything I have really seen before!
I adore this series. Just as a lifelong fangirl. :D
Representation has improved a lot in the last ten years or so--not just in representing more people, but also in representing them _well._ Not only is the portrayal (apparently) accurate, but it is not exoticised. Kamala is a girl who's just living her life in the context of her culture, not stopping every six minutes to say, "You see, this is what is done in my culture (which is so obviously different and foreign that it must be explained at every opportunity)." It's both all-encompassing and totally unremarkable to her... you know, the way people live their lives 99.9% of the time. Not only is this a better moral position (can we please stop othering each other?), it makes for better, more grounded storytelling.
While I'm usually a purist about adaptations, I don't really extend that to comics, because, in the course of trying to keep them going on a regular basis over decades, they're constantly getting re-imagined, anyway. And honestly, I think the MCU often makes better decisions than the comic-verse has.
This first episode left me wanting more! Kamala is so relatable in how she doesn’t want to be rebellious at all but she still wants to do her own thing. And she reminds me SO MUCH of a friend of mine in terms of looks, voice, and fan-girliness. :P really wasn’t thinking I’d be that into the show and put off watching it but it’s really good so far!
I’m a 49 year old white guy from UK. Loved this first episode and your reaction. Maybe, just maybe, there is some hope for this world.
Representation does matter. I'm glad you enjoyed this show. I enjoyed it far more than I expected because it's a great show. Iman is so adorable & funny. Glad to finally see your reaction
Glad you enjoyed this Nasser! It was very fun and a great change of pace from every other show, especially in the visuals. I'm excited to see where it goes. Also she wasn't watching Scott Pilgrim, it was the TV show Felicity when Keri Russell had short hair lol.
I’m mixed (black and white), not too religious myself, and I don’t have anything too wrong with me mentally, other than depression now and then, but it is really refreshing to see more than just white guys as heroes, we had Oscar Issac, playing a jewish character with DID, and Kamala a muslim teen hero it’s pretty refreshing,
don’t get me wrong, I love RDJ, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen but it’s good to see anyone can he heroes yk
Yess i had been looking for Ms. Marvel muslim reaction i can relate to. Best reaction. Thanks for sharing!!
Your channel deserves all the subscriptions just like Kamala's. So glad to see you reacting to this show.
I have been waiting for this show since 2014, when I first read the comic. I’m not bothered at all by the change in powers because that’s not what drew me to her. Her optimism and positivity and kindness and genuine nature are what drew me to her.
Iman Vellani basically *is* Kamala Khan. She auditioned for the role because she is a huge marvel fan. It was absolutely perfect casting, and she is incredibly good at bringing the character to life.
Back in 2014, she also taught me just how important representation is. I’m white, my background is Irish and Protestant. Seeing the reactions of people like yourself to her taught me how incredibly important it is. And it is truly a wonderful experience watching your reaction and how much you connect with it. There’s honestly a bunch of things I had to google to know what they meant, and it’s fantastic.
Since she was first introduced Kamala Khan has been my favourite marvel character, and honestly I believe she’s the best character they have. It’s wonderful.
I'm not muslim but i loved seeing this representation !! (And also i loved everything in this episode too) ! I'm already so in love with Kamala AND with Iman ! I also need a team up Kate Bishop- Kamala - Peter Parker, the chaotic sibling marvel nerd energy potential....anyway
(P.S. : seeing this effort in this show however makes me think that moon knight should have tampered more with Marc's religion. I mean we see in the flasback that's he's jewish but i would have loved to see it more incorporated bc this show is the proof that representation doesn't mean that religion should be a central theme of the story, like daredevil. don't get me wrong i loved seeing how matt murdock struggles with his faith, i'm just saying, showing religion doesn't have to be about doubting your faith or anything)
Representation absolutely matters and Ms. Marvel is such a great show. I look forward to the rest of the episodes. You should totally cosplay!
This show was a lot of fun (even before all the super stuff). And I'm so happy for the joy this brings to you on a personal level.
🙋🏼♂️
About the power set. . . I'm actually glad they changed it a little bit. I really find the stretchy power, like Mister Fantastic, just silly and not fun to watch.
I do hope we get a legacy story from the grandmother.
*Edit:* OMG Nasser. . .Did you catch what you said at 17:21??
(We know what you mean.)
Re:power change:
Her powers in the comics were actually meant to look goofy. Her powers gave a clever way to look at her internalized racism and inferiority complex.
Remember how she turned into Carol upon first getting her powers? She did it by accident at first and then intentionally a few more times, before having a conversation with herself regarding that she, a brown girl, is absolutely able to be a hero. That she didn’t need Eurocentric features to be viewed as such.
She also felt self conscious about her powers looking silly in comparison to other heroes with aesthetically pleasing powers like the ones she idolizes; and comes to realize that it’s not powers that make the hero, but the actions she takes with said abilities that define the hero.
Does that make sense?
I go back to the 70s reading Marvel, and she's now my favorite superhero too; she's a dreamers superhero. Even without relating directly to the social and cultural aspects, I'm just an old white guy from the midwest. But she's TERRIFIC! I want to be the grumpy bookstore owner that has a shop down the block from her and supports her unconditionally saying "your parents mean well". She has that youthful exuberance mixed with the sense of a dreamer that I can relate too. I think it's awesome she's Muslim but you're totally right, her appeal isn't dependent on it. You can't help just rooting for this kid. Love it!!!
Glad you loved the first episode so much! Me too! Iman Vellani as Kamala did an amazing job so far. Every moment with her is so much fun and uplifting. And the whole style of the show rocks.
15:48 Speeches like that always translate to me as "We want you to die inside, give up everything you love and become a nice little cog in the machine that has nothing to look forward to but to work until the end." No way, José!
It's so amazing that this was her first role ever!
I’ve been waiting for your reaction to this! I’m so excited for you❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! This show really touched my heart, I’m so lucky that you actually thought of me while watching it! God bless you!
Its awesome that in real life she is such a massive Marvel/Ms Marvel fan. There isn't much acting she needs to do since her character is just like her. She was correcting things while on set so there wouldn't be complaints later after filming haha. Massive Marvel fan, Pakistani decent, and from Jersey...its like she was quite literally born for the role.
Seeing the world through the eyes of another is beautiful. Thank you
I normally don't comment on most videos I watch cuz I watch on my Firestick but I had to tell you how excited I was to watch your reaction after I watched this episode today. I'm so excited you related, I knew you would as a fan and that's one of the few things I knew about her is that she was a huge fan. I can't believe I didn't think about you both being youtubers until your video though. Looking forward to watching this series with you.
I met you through this series that I loved and that has made me identify a lot with Ms marvel despite the fact that it is not my culture (I am Mexican) and that makes me want to know more about her culture. I am glad that the representation is so well done and I hope for a great future for Kamala. New subscriber 😃
i love this show. i appreciate your passion. i know enough about Islam to know that there is a lot i don't know about Islam, but i am fascinated by the culture and i thank you for sharing your perspective.
I am so happy that people are finally getting heroes that look like them, that is so lovely and wonderful!! Representation in media really helps people!
Dude, that was great. I share most of your sensibility, but you're great at putting it into words and through the camera. The fact that I am a skinny 46 year old peruvian, from a very different culture doesn't seem to matter. I am also loving the series, and am glad that your culture is finally being represented in a fun, more authentic way, with its pros and cons. Ank like you say, in the end it's just a good series overall.
As an older, white American Christian male, let me say... this show is *exactly* how you do representation... The show's not 'woke'.... It's not about 'being Muslim'... it's about a hero who is Muslim.... The show doesn't force-feed the viewer an agenda of *anything*. You just get to view Kamala's world and learn about a slice of the world you don't normally get to see. I love this series, and this girl is so *natural* that it doesn't even feel like she's acting. I'm happy that you got a hero you can relate to, that the rest of us can enjoy as well.
I am super excited for this show too! I myself am Pantheistic, but I have had a deep respect for Islam for many years, ever since I read The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini in college. Islam really does need more positive representation in the west.
P.S. I also pronounce her last name with the H sound like Han rather than the K sound. Everyone give me a funny look, but I'm like "That's the way it's supposed to be!" lol
Iman Vellani has charisma radiating out of everywhere.
And love that Deathstar and castle in the background.
As a 45 year old comic collector I love Kamala I have all her books & the comic book community loves this show & it makes me very happy the success of this show
They Acknowledged Natasha all throughout the Hawkeye series. I think you should watch that next
I knew nothing about this character, so I didn't know what to expect when the show was announced. Just watching the intro animation, I knew I'd love it. Kamal is likeable and charming, and her experience growing up is honestly very relatable. I grew up Catholic, not religious anymore, and a lot of what she's going through with strict parents and such are things I dealt with as well
Fun fact Iman wasn't allowed to see the set for AvengerCon until they filmed her entrance . Her reaction on screen is genuine.
It makes me happy you, as a Muslim, enjoyed this show. My religion (Mormon) doesn't really get accurately portrayed in tv/movies either, though it's certainly nothing compared to the slanted portrayal of Muslims over the past few decades. I don't really need characters of religion portrayed in tv/movies, but if they're going to, it would be cool if it was something I actually related to instead of something I just had to roll my eyes at. But with there being over a billion Muslims...it's definitely an underrepresented group among protagonists in mainstream media.
I've loved Ms. Marvel so far. Great to see a new super hero origin story from a unique perspective. And the main character is, as you said, super likeable.
Great reaction. First time watching your channel and now a subscriber.
Wow, this has to be really cool for you. It's a Hollywood classic to tweak the perception of many foreign aspects. I hope this show gets it right and you like this!
I think I'll give this a chance.
By the way, some fantastic film recommendations in case you want to watch them:
Three wondeful astronaut movies:
-Apollo 13 (Ron Howard and Tom Hanks)
-The Martian (Ridley Scott and Matt Damon)
-First Man (Damien Chazelle and Ryan Gosling)
Two mystery classics with Bruce Willis:
-The Sixth Sense
-Twelve Monkeys
And anothe favourite of mine: The Last of the Mohicans (Daniel Day Lewis)
I agree about the representation. I am Mexican-American, and with the news about Namor getting an Aztec-Mayan design or background to him, I am saying "Finally!". Mexicans are mixed Native people and Spanish, but our Native Indian roots go back to the Aztecs. And while I love all my Latino brothers and sisters, I do get annoyed when we are all lumped into the same "category". Because our backgrounds, culture, foods we eat, and even the dialects we speak are all different. So it's nice to see something specifically for my ancestoral culture.
Oh my stars and garters - I love, love, love this character. She has a very Mulan feel to her, a little hapless, very determined and gains strength from the power of her ancestors.
As an Arab woman (non-Muslim) I totally related to the notion of coming from a culture that is fairly conservative, living in the 'West' and wanting to dovetail both cultures into your identity. The every day things like having to help people pronounce your name correctly, or just being that little bit more modest with clothing really hit home and as much I love the notions of hospitality, modesty and the respect of one's elders/ancestors/history, I also love the creative freedoms I have here. Imagine growing up knowing that there were only 3 'choices' of career - Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer - and don't even think about the creative industries, so my heart is with Kamala because she's a plucky little cosmic fighter and can't wait to see how she progresses!
Please watch "Star Trek - Strange New Worlds"! Great show and I think you would like it!
We love it. And I'm glad they are showing this. We truly enjoyed watching it so far. The whole family loves it. Especially to my daughter. She reminds me of her lol. She is a great actor.
Representation totally matters!! And not just for those represented. I'm a white non-muslim, but seeing your joy over being represented makes me so happy. More importantly, we can only know what we're told about cultures different from our own. For many of us who can't travel to other countries, that means relying on Hollywood. By having realistic representation we can learn the truth about those different groups and not be caught up in a false impression, which usually causes fear and hate. If that makes any sense LOL.
My point is, I'm glad Hollywood is begining to wake up and do the right thing by every culture. :) Looking forward to the rest of this series.
BTW, I can totally relate to her too. I'm very much a head in the clouds kind of girl XD
I also love Scott Pilgrim! It's such a perfect cinematography style for a show like this.
What's hilarious is she wasn't watching Scott Pilgrim. I think he mistook Felicity for Michael Cera 😂
@@CrowTRobot yep. Lots of people made that mistake. Even Erik at New Rockstars, lol.
That was one of the things that hit me as well. It's not stereotypical. Her parents are strict, but not because they're saying Muslims are hardliners for doctrine. They're strict because they have a teenage daughter they want to protect from the world. And even more importantly, they try to understand her and meet her half way. They made her a mini hulk costume. At that age, my parents threw out all of my black, horror, and music themed T-shirts. Literally nothing but a closet of blank white shirts
Loved your reaction and after thr show commentary about representation. I love the show so far but really appreciate it more after listening to you.
"Are they insinuating that her grandmother was a superhero?"
WE NEED THIS STORY.
Fiftysomething white dude here--born in the south, no less, but my father took us to California--and I think this was the BEST pilot episode of any Disney Plus Original show--Marvel or Star Wars. Subscribed. Thank you for your unique perspective in helping us know Marvel is doing the cultural inclusivity thing justice. I'm a bit biased because my brother--raised by our mother in Tennessee and North Carolina--ended up marrying a classmate at Virginia Tech whose parents were both both north of Mumbai. Neither Hindu nor Muslim/Urdu but Jain/Gujarati, but a lot of the culture is still very much the same. I've also lived in France, Switzerland, and Bulgaria (which has a sizeable Turkish minority). I'm going to jump straight to your episode 2 reaction and then move on to 3 & 4 this weekend. Where are you? Are you going to Comic-Con? (San Diego...)
I love this reaction! I cant wait to see your reaction to episode 2!
I know people take issue with everything these days. But I really love seeing how much this means to people of that culture.
I subscribe to the theory she doesn't need the bangle after it's first use and that she'll realize that later.
In the comics she was an inhuman and the crystal basically gave her powers like it did for Skye/Daisy aka Quake in Agents of SHIELD.
It's surprising to me how many people think she's watching SCOTT PILGRIM (even Erik at New Rockstars). She's actually watching the show Felicity. Great video, btw:)
I was very pleasantly surprised by this, the trailer looked a little 'disney channel' for my taste but it's been my 3rd favorite premiere for a MCU show!
Loved watching this from your perspective and glad it brings you such joy and inspiration! It was a really fun show!
Kamala was still looking happy when she heard her father will take them to the con and stay with them. I think it's the Hulk suit that crossed a line for her. Her purpose to go is to wear the Captain Marvel costume, and compete in the cosplay contest. If it only required her dad being there, it looked like she would take it without any hesitation. I know she mentions him being there as one of the humiliating things, but that's just the effect of her getting mad.
When the mom brought out a full Pakistani to-go bag for Bruno I told my friend "I need a Pakistani friend." Absolutely loved this episode and I'm expecting it to be in my top three of MCU shows.
lol...i said the same thing. 😁😂😋
I would love to see more of your reactions to this show❤❤❤ episode 2 just came out and it was amazing!!! Would love to see what you thought of it❤ As a Muslim, it was so great to see the little things that I could relate to❤❤❤
I agree with you completely. Hollywood has represented Muslim people in the world in a negative light. Yes there is a small percentage who act violently for a cause they deem righteous. There is a whole community that people are unaware of mostly if families just trying to prosper or survive day to day life.
prosper.
Of course, for me my entree into this character is her love of superhero’s much like I geek out at heroics in other Marvel or Science Fiction or Fantasy or Speculative Fiction. Then there are the common points that match the actor Iman who plays Kamala. She is just so excited and enthusiastic about the MCU and being M⚡️ Marvel.
Even though her powers and origin are different from the books, the characters and feel of the books are captured perfectly in this show. Its great!
I wouldn't consider zoe a bully, just a girl that likes popularity
I read the comics, loved the comics, and imo this could not be any more perfect of an adaptation. The powers don't make the hero and the actress made this show for me, LOVE IT
5:00 - SHOWING MY OLD AGE HERE: She's watching Felicity. it was a show on the WB, fitting that she's watching it.
"Of course she's gonna pack you food! That's Muslim culture!" Oh my goodness, I used to be next door neighbors to a Muslim family, and instead of us being the ones to bring them a "welcome to the neighborhood" gift, the wife somehow found out I was chronically ill and had disabilities and SHE brought me the most delicious cookies ever! So I definitely have a food story regarding that 🥰 Not saying that I didn't wanna get something for them, too, just that they got to me first. Lol. I'm really sad they had to move away because the husband got a job somewhere else, but we're still good friends! Even though I'm Christian and they're Muslim, we have a very mutual respect for how seriously we take our individual religious lives
Just as I decided that I need to cut down on all the reaction videos (why am I spending so much time watching other people's reactions to stuff I've already seen?) I see that I must add yours. 😊 I felt that I needed the perspective of someone who a) belong to the culture being described, and b) is able to clearly describe their reactions and opinions as part of the video. I'm totally not Muslim. I'm a white, atheist, Norwegian male three times as old as Kamala, but I enjoyed the comics, I enjoyed the show, and I enjoy watching your reaction. 😊
I love this guy, I'm gonna watch this series asap!
I'm not Muslim, but my name is Rashad and EVERYONE mispronounces my name. I get so many silly variations like people don't care. I stopped getting hung up on it but when I was younger, it was infuriating.
Can't wait to see your reaction to ep 2, its really good and better than ep 1 and really close to home.
Episode: 1 was very good, these Marvel Disney+ shows never miss, can't wait to see the rest of the season.
Major change in the MCU is her powers are magical, in the 616 she got them from the Terrigen Mist, a gas that turns people into Inhumans, sort of like mutants. Nobody watched The Inhumans and making Kamala one of them might have hurt the character and show.
Also her powers are like Plastic Man, shapeshifter who can look like anyone or anything as well as change her size and density.
I love your reaction. You would deserve to have a cameo on this show if there could be a season 2.
Iman Vellani is a charisma bomb, she is instantly loveable.
There was another Muslim hero called The Arabian Knight, wasn't a big hit in the 80s, they just tossed him out there with no real storylines, didn't make him part of a team or put any effort into a backstory, he just appeared in a few panels of groups of heroes from time to time, had a couple lines in an issue of The Thing once.
🤣🤣 I also said the "وعليكم السّلام" out loud after the aunties salaams, it just came out loll
I read the first 7 issues of the comic after watching the show (because I liked the debut episode so much). So, I obviously have a bias being introduced to the character first in the show (I mean, I'd see a few little references before, but nothing substantial). I think they do a good job of maintaining her vibe/attitude from the comics. And if we're going to point out how many times the MCU changes somebody's power set/origin from the comics, we're going to have to keep a long list. ;-)
****spoiler alert from the comics****
I'm just bummed that we're unlikely to see Lockjaw, because I have always loved him. :-(
As a fan of the comics, I am pretty happy with the change in the powerset and origin. For me, they have been able to capture the awkward teenage elements of her whole deal and the origin leads to better storytelling within the family dynamic.
Your reaction was so endearing :) It made me like the show and Khamala even more :)
Her Grandmother was the previous superhero of her generation I believe and that is a family power heiroom that is of their family, but for some reason maybe the Mom rejected it when her mother probably asked her to take over. There is something there, I hope we see that dynamic and see the grandmother in this show make an appearance. Clearly Kamala Khan's mom knew about that bracelet.
Maybe the bracelet rejected her mother and chose kamala.
Love Kamala. Love Iman. Love Zenobia. Love this show. And love you bro. I can already tell this will be a fun playlist to watch through.
Captain Marvel is my fave for 25 years and I feel so related to Kamala for that! Dudebros will NEVER get anything from her. Ready for billion #2 with the Marvels. Can’t wait for Carol and Kamla to meet
Listen even tho I hate the fact they changed her powers, I still like the show. And I really enjoy the actress as Kamala Khan. So I am really excited about this show. Let’s see how it turns out
The dude bros are a cultural phenomenon. It stems from gamer gate and was heightened during the trump presidency. Basically just xenophobic misogynist paranoia. I wouldn't worry about them, they are loud but little as a collective
Did you see "we are lady parts", the UK show? They don't have super power, except ROCK MUSIC, and they are a super good Muslim representation!
So amazing!
Possibly the strongest first episode from a Marvel Disney+ show so far. Which is saying a lot. And I don't understand the old reasoning that shows like this wouldn't succeed because I'm a white male and I wouldn't be able to relate so I won't find this story interesting. It's not like that at all. Diverse stories only add to the depth of tv/movies (and art in general). As long as the story itself is interesting and/or told in an interesting way, I'm in. It's time to get everybody representation. Let's go. And the anti-woke crowd is really making themselves look foolish attacking this show because it's really good. I get that sometimes diversity can be pandering or done to make a company look better but this is not one of those times.
I personally applaud Marvel for exploring so many different cultures in the past few years.
The toxic diapper pissers will continue to bitch and whine every time a "non-normal" character is given any kind of spotlight, meanwhile rational people can really appreciate the different cultures being given some attention for once and not in a negative way.
I love how every person I have seen react to this show(that would be about 7 at this point) thinks shes watching Scott Pilgrim when she gets home from school and thinks thats Michael Cera on screen when it was actually the show Felicity, and the person on screen is actually Actress Keri Russell after she chopped all her hair off 😅
Just watched it last night. It looks like a fun show
4:59 I don't think that was Scott Pilgrim 😅 I freaking love this show so much so far. I can't wait for her to get her new costume 😁
Hoping for the mcu debut of Kamala's best friend Miles Morales
Appreciate the Magneto rep, man.
loved that😍 also someone should create a “she’s very likable ” counter 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I enjoyed your reaction!
It makes me so happy to see you enjoying a show that you can relate so much and that represents Muslims (in a positive light). Personally I'm an agnostic, which for me means I have respect for all religions and beliefs and I feel it's well represented imo. Now as far as the show goes. Kamala is adorable, but she needs to give her dad a chance (that was a little mean on her part with how she said it).💔 I would love to see her cosplay with him, that would warm my heart.😄❤🔥I would have to say it's okay so far, but honestly I have to see a little more of her character and start to see where they go with the story before I can really get a feel for the series. I haven't read the comics so I have no clue what's going to happen, but that's probably a good thing considering the controversy about them changing her power significantly. Let's face it though that stretchy/growing power has never quite looked right in live action. Mr. Fantastic's powers always looked weird to me. I believe they made the right call.
when I saw this the first time; I had a theory that Mom had watched her mother loose her mind slowly to the bangle. I was wondering if the "price" of the bangle (and there's always a price) was the user would slowly loose themselves into a fantasy. I'm so glad I was wrong.
You. Are. Awesome! Subscribed. Had to do it.
It looks like Michael Cera from _Scott Pilgrim_ but that's actually Keri Russell from _Felicity_
As a pasty white guy, I'm fine with the billion shows that already represent me and my experiences.
Let's have other stuff!
If nothing else, shows about OTHER lives and experiences are different, and exciting, and also educational; I've learned a LOT just from watching this show.
Also, people who think you can't be creative and write good stories while also serving other goals don't understand creativity. That's not how it works. They also don't understand that 'art has been political' for literally thousands of years.
You need to read the original series, its wonderful
Generally speaking the only people who claim representation doesn't really matter have never experienced a lack of representation.
@3:54- look at these two UA-camrs rocking their purple side by side.
