Just remember if the light doesn't shine on the resin then it will not ever cure. So under the actual stud iys still wet. It only cured the resin that was visible. Unless u use clear see through studs then it will cure underneath. I usually would do a dot of super glue and the uv resin on top and around the item to make sure its secure.
Glue is not a strong adhesive. Even the epoxy ones specially to items that you frequently fiddle with, in this case, the earring's rods. My shop got complaints that they easily fall off. Locking it in with a layer of hard uv cured resin would make it much more secure.

Please please wear a respirator and nitrile gloves with resin, it is a must even if the resin says low odour.
You should always wear protective gloves when using resin.

Thats a great reason! I also use E-6000 which is very strong!
