Studio series is on shelves and sold as toys for kids. They can’t make a studio series figure adult exclusive and sold exclusively through online stores. And the fact that it goes to retail means Hasbro has to adhere to state laws. 3rd party only gets around it because they market towards outside the US, but some online stores are more than willing to import it.

If a US company was to make this Megatron figure, regardless if he's in robot mode or not, they're going to get sued by Hasbro. Same reason why Hasbro can't make a G1 Jetfire anymore as they lost the license and would get sued by Bandai. Same with Hasbro not making a proper MP Jazz as they would need to get the license from Porches in order to do so. Fans Toys made Jive and Porches can't touch them because Fans Toys is in China. Same with DX9 making a Lamborghini Sideswipe as Lamborghini can't touch them.

Because it seems like Cerebros is the only thing that will get out of that seemingly defunct project.

im so excited for the rerelease of Trypticon! also Romulus and for those who say he is too short i got a few things to say 1st look at earthrise Megatron he is to short for even earthrise Optimus so this Romulus is already better than the current Hasbro figure because he is earthrise Optimus's height, now yea he is shorter than id like, but a lot of 3rd party do mp or legends scale so this is the only option for a gun mode Megatron and it's not bad! so until a another 3rd party does one, this is the best one.

Scales with Earthrise Optimus. He’s a tad too short to fit with the new Studio Series Optimus (though you can mistransform the Newage Megatron so his ankles are showing and he gets a tiny bit taller. He might scale with SS Optimus then.

Showzstore, a reputable online store located in China, sells him for $104 including shipping cost! I'm debating on him on vs a KO MP-36(with known quality control issues) for 20 bux less. There is one caveat with Newage Romulos Megs, he does not include the stock/silencer attachments for his gun mode! Either another company has to release an upgrade kit for him or Newage adds it later on. I'm just puzzled why Newage excluded the stock/silencer attachments? Worried about shipping problems for what looks like an assassins real gun or to cut certain costs?
No way. Hasbro wouldn't spend the resources to make it look that good even at a $90 Commander price. Pretty sure NewAge could make a better Voyager/Leader Optimus than Hasbro did with the Studio Series.
After that Metroplex, wonder if those guys would eventually do some of the other titans in that scale, or even scale up the Haslab Unicron of they could manage it.

Nah- my problem with the TFs that had "size shifting" abilities on TV is that they never made sense in the play world. "Oh look! A GIANT microcassette tape player! That's not suspicious!" And if you "role played" them, they didn't make sense either. The inconsistencies of the toy line were completely saved by the well-written cartoons! But oddities happened. Where Ironhide was one of the most popular characters in the show, he must have been one of the least popular toys. Ironically, Hasbro could have just issued new versions of the same characters instead of "killing" them all in TF the movie. I mean- Kup could have easily been a new version of Ironhide. But I digress. What happened happened.
Is anyone curious why the NewAge “Studio Series” (aka CHUG/Mainlije scale) Megatron doesn’t come with a silencer or stock? Those two pieces make Megatron’s gun mode look iconic. Without those pieces… I don’t know. Megatron looks incomplete. Anyone else feel this way or am I being to harsh on the figure? I have the Legends scale Newage Megatron and it came with all of the classic accessories I expected. Not sure why this larger one doesn’t.

What Hasbro should do for SS86 Megatron is to just include the gun mode body parts separately inside the other Decepticon ss86 boxes. So release Megatron as a tank but the limbs are replaceable and collect the missing parts from the other toy boxes. As for Metroplex, liked the fan repaint some yrs ago in which they were recolored into orange and joined with Fort Max to make it look like Autobot city. The movie version of Autobot City could still happen if you make Metroplex the mobile fortress&Autobot City is its home docking station that can roll out in case it does need to engage Trypticon like in the Scramble City anime.
B,A,F never works you will need to buy figures you don't want just for the parts. The city bots recolour was amazing doubt they will ever be released officially.

However it is obvious they are either charging them fees for illegally using the Transformer designs or these third party companies are just plain greedy. People may complain about $30 being a bit too high for a 6 inch figure (which I can understand) but $160 is ludicrous. $200 for a two foot tall figure is already pretty steep but $1100 for a four foot tall figure is an automatic oh hell no.

Romulus should've been slightly over 7" tall so he can match up with SS86 Optimus Prime. He looks good but he's still gonna be too short tbh.
