I will not rest until I see the city version of it, with all the insane twisting and turning from the OG film. Perhaps not all of it, but, like, more than this. This is epic...but...it's missing...something. More. Bigger and more. Should take 2 fairly strong adults to transform it.

@@chevelleyvidal8049It had a warning that said to not keep it in robot mode for too long. Of course, like you yourself just said, this was a big dealbreaker for many, so they got rid of the warning. Judging by that warning, the figure cannot hold its own weight.

I think he is well worth the price tag I think. He has SUCH a presence. The lights are FANTASTIC, makes my Vladvidistok look primitive. He scales lovely with every other Transformers figure (id love to stick some Dr Wu figs on him XD ). Whereas some may think the size is a gimmick, I think it captures the awe youre supposed to feel about such a character. Huge inposing, but definitely able to do the protecting he was made to do, lumbering along in a clunky, slow the way he feels insecure about. Comments complaining about his alt form are Lowkey funny Metroplex just always looked really goofy AJSKSK. I mean yea it would go hard if Metroplex looked like a city or had a different look to him than T30 that listened to Phonk music at the gym, but I understand the decision. Anyway, gorgeous figure, hes out of my league but Id love to see one of these in person one day 😭💔🙏

I can go out and get any one of these that I want. While this one is on the more expensive end I don't think I am going to find this at any store. For me part of the fun of collecting these is the hunt for them! I live in an area that has a lot of shops that sell Transformers. I do my rounds and hit up about 28 different places every month. This one I am going to need to order offline. I have found Ally Express is great for Transformers too. But doesn't give you that same out and about finding something rare stuck behind other toys or in some random place in the toy sections. Pro Tip: Always look behind stuff while on the hunt. I found some really good Transformers hidden behind pokemon cards. Stuck between Star Wars stuff and wrastlin toys. Always love when I find the boxes someone has tried to hide cause they plan on coming back for it later.
having this, for the 80s TRANSFORMER kids, along with the G.I.JOE AIRCRAFT CARRIER "USS FLAGG" from the 1980s, would have been a dream come true, for all of GEN X.
Seeing it in scale with all the figures made me think: "Oh that's cool, its in scale with a lot of legends class figures! ... When did someone make a legends class Sky Lynx? Oh, that's the generations one.... *oh* "
Perhaps if/when the make a compatible Six Gun, Scamper and Slammer they can also make some labels - I think the carrier deck chevrons especially could do with some colour on them. If it would have been possible to expand the width of the Carrier deck plates that would have helped the base mode and vehicle mode play function an appearance... as it stands despite its sheer size the landing lanes are quite short. I'd love to see what it looks like with Dr. Wu stuff that would be adorable I think. Though perhaps out of scale hard to say if Optimus is 35 foot say and Metroplex in 598 foot tall. (Comic heights) Then Dr. Might be to small in robot mode.. But I think the general look with Minicons/Micromasters/Botbots/Tiny Titans and Dr. Wu toys would be kinda fun to see.
I also would have preferred if the legs split during base mode but I figured it would compromise the structure of that leg support. 80 Lbs is a LOT of weight. I plan on displaying this with my Dr. Wu. I don't know where exactly I will display it but IT WILL BE DONE. lol.
Sometimes, there is no such thing as too much toy, there is only not enough space (and money 😉) Plex's alts being so simple plays in his favor. He's not a nightmare of tiny parts that to survive the mass and forces of scaling up (see most large scale combiners)

I'd say this video shows that this Metroplex is little more than a very oversized novelty bibelot, as it's just impractically big to store, display, transform, move around, and it really highlights how Metroplex's transformations are the figure just doing weird yoga poses. Still, it has its audience, and that's what's important.

I think I've seen something about how they don't recommend keeping it in bot mod due to how it can malform.
